snort

Pig flops to the floor as well. He soon emits a gentle but loud snoring.

Male Human (Minnesotan) GM 5 Gallows of Madness |Midnight Marauder

"“There are a few poor souls left in Ardis I’m sure Vonran bears a grudge toward, though the worst offenders moved on decades ago to Caliphas. Of all his remaining accusers, Judge Cevianna Pradowca is the worst. She bore a grudge against Vonran for refusing to wed her and so turned her courtroom into a weapon against him. She’s the one who handed down his banishment. I wager he’ll hunt her next.” she replies.

"I thank you for the information, do you know where can find the Judge, as I understand you aren't a huge fan of the Pathfinders, we don't want to overstay our welcome!" Neal says, putting on his best smile.

"Unless there is anything else you can tell us of course?"

Male Human (Minnesotan) GM 5 Gallows of Madness |Midnight Marauder

"I'd assume you could find her at her courthouse. She's spent most of the last sixty years there. She’s long-lived for a human. The story I prefer to spread is demon-blood, but more likely she simply buys ointments from the Varisian vagrants. They have a gift for preserving crones."

Lemford heartily laughs along. This is exactly his kind of humor.

"I am sorry, but I am no botanist. I rely on the market for my herbs and medicinals." he replies. "But you are correct, from what I understand, that it is quite hard to come by these days in the market, what with the murders and all. I expect that if any of you are good woodsmen, you should be able to locate some outside of town.

“He was here, you know. Not five days ago he stood where you are now, ranting and raving about Judge Pradowca and her lofty position. He was… so different from the Vonran I loved. So cold—hate just roiling off of him. Help him. Please.

He then turns to his comrades, "I believe it is time to retrieve some of the wolfsbane herb from the local forest. Once we obtain the herb we can seek out Judge Pradowca at her courthouse and protect her from Master Vilks' rage."

He pauses for a moment, in thought, then continues turning toward the frog, "I presume either you or your four-legged companion are adept in the ways of the forest and can lead us to a cache of this herb."

With a turn to Lemford and a subtle nod, "I think we shall leave first, just to make sure the coast is clear, it is dark after all!" Neal says, turning towards the door.

GM.Silbeg:
I want to try and steal that ornate, yellow bell pull on the way out, and Lemford said he would assist me (I asked Tineke and she agreed to it). My plan is to cut it off using the dagger hidden in my wrist sheath as we leave.

Bel is able to recall enough information from having studied maps of the region to locate an area of woods which seems promising, only about a 1/2 hour out of town. aTangled masses of roots and undergrowth hamper movement in this wood, and straining branches overhead blot out nearly all natural light. Less than a hundred feet into the overgrown forest, all signs of the nearby city vanish, leaving nothing but shockingly untamed wilderness.

Grippli and Bel are able to then locate, after only a half hour, a patch of wolfsbane that should get them enough for the cure. As they approach, suddenly, Grippli, Bel, and Neal Shadowhand notice something about to strike the two in the lead!

Bel, Gresh:

The smaller moving plants appear to be Xtabays. These small plants can release clouds of pollen that can put animals (and humanoids) to sleep..

Bel:
The also are able slowly consume those that they have put to sleep by moving on top of them. The act of eating does not wake the victim

Lemford, Bel:
The larger one is an assassin vine, though it appears to be an advanced version. They are stealth hunters, which is why you didn't see them until the last moment. They vines can grab when they hit you

Bel:
They also have the ability to cause plant within 30 feet of them to grab onto their prey much like an entangle spell

Entangled: wrote:
The character is ensnared. Being entangled impedes movement, but does not entirely prevent it unless the bonds are anchored to an immobile object or tethered by an opposing force. An entangled creature moves at half speed, cannot run or charge, and takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity. An entangled character who attempts to cast a spell must make a concentration check (DC 15 + spell level) or lose the spell.

Bel moves 20' to the north, counting the first 10 feet as difficult terrain, going into Lingering performance as she does so. She then casts Liberating Command on Lemford, which gives him a +14 to an immediate Escape Artist skill check.

Bel still has an immediate action; if anyone else is grappled, she will use an immediate action to cast Liberating Command on them. However, if anyone has a critical hit chance on their attack and fails to confirm, instead Bel will cast Gallant Inspiration, which will add 2d4 competence bonus retroactively to the roll.

Did Grippli want to try and break out of the entangle that he is in? It is holding him to the ground...

Neal Shadowhand learns what the phrase, often referring to monks, "Flurry of Misses" means. ;)

Technically, you cannot "hold an immediate" - in what conditions will you cast Gallant Inspiration?

The flowers keep trying to sting Gresh!

Yes, I realize, technically, I cannot hold an immediate action, but was just letting you know I'm ready to use it if the circumstances I stated earlier came into play. Just reminding everyone I have it, because in PBP I can't come back after a round of actions occurs, 2 hours later and say, "Hey, wait a minute"

At this point, I will use it if Gresh misses his next main weapon attack, to help him actually hit. I want these things dead.

I believe your were entangled with the first attempt. This post, from the surprise round

Not sure what my current hp is at this point. Round 4 says I am at 6/47 and with the entangled and grappled conditions, but you referred to Gresh as unconsciousness. Also as a half-orc, I have orc ferocity, which allows me 1 round of action as disabled when brought under 0 hp. Which, I believe, would still allow me a standard and swift actions.

Male Human (Minnesotan) GM 5 Gallows of Madness |Midnight Marauder

That should be -6 for you, and -7 for Lemford, yes, you get your orc ferocity.

Escape artist (or Strength, the same for me).

Escape Artist: 1d20 ⇒ 19

If that gets me out, then I will move 15 feet to where I am no longer entangled. However, I can't seem to bring up the map, so I can't say where. I want to stay within 30' of my fighters if possible

And since Gresh is still fighting, I will use the Gallant Inspiration on him if he misses, otherwise, Neal
