Throne of Breland

Game Master mittean

The Kings and Queens of Breland have long ruled under the shadow of the Curse of the Crimson Throne —an infamous superstition claiming that no monarch of the country of Breland shall ever die knowing peace, since Princess Wroann declared herself Queen of Breland in 984 YK, at the outset of the Last War.

Whether or not there is any truth to the legend of the curse, Breland's current king, Boranel ir'Wynarn, seems likely to be the latest victim to succumb to this foul legacy. The country teeters on the edge of anarchy, as nefarious forces threaten to tear the country apart from within, and re-ignite the Last War!

That certainly works, just depends on 2 things.
1: wanting to take a look at the mentioned Antiquarian.
2: making the GM would even allow VMC

The Antiquarian actually looks like it might be rather useful (though it's a shame I can't use that Fortune's Favored stuff). though I do kinda wish there was a more Combat-focused investigator archetype (granted Archaeologist isn't exactly combat-centric either, but the point is more that he did spend significant time in the military.

Alas I will have to pull out of this one as I was just accepted in another game, have fun guys. I’m

What is the VMC and antiquarian you guys speak of?

VMC is Variant Multiclassing, basically you give up half your feats for a few class features from a class at reduced amounts.

Antiquarian is a version of the Investigator that replaces its Alchemical abilities with small trinkets (basically the same as the extracts though) and replaces Poison Resistance with Curse resistance.

Variant multiclassing rules can be found here.

The Antiquarian archetype of the Inquisitor can be found here.

I think I need to withdraw my interest. Realizing I'm a bit over committed now.

The Exchange

You know, I remember a while back there was a similar game that used Spheres. Unfortunately I came up with the perfect concept after the recruitment ended.
What I've wanted to play ever since is a Dragon Priest. If you know Spheres, there's a magic tradition that hurts you when you cast. And with Spheres you can make magic much more thematic. You can make a pyromancer, a necromancer, a summoner, an enchanter, or any number of other things. It's also really easy to gish, just like in TES.
Anyway I'm posting from phone but I wanted to get it out there.

I don't think the GM is allowing spheres D-Kal but thanks for mentioning.

Thanks for the answers on VMC and antiquarian guys. :)

If this is still open I'll try my hand at a concept... :)

I've typed the background out twice now and it keeps being eaten, so short version.

Caraid was an arrogant young mage who wanted to outshine the Dragonborn when they arrived at the College. To do so he headed into the Midden, discovered the Atronach Forge and tried to use it to bind a Dremora. This didn't work (no Sigil Stone) and the Dremora killed him for his impudence after telling him that he would never compare to the Dragonborn - his soul was simply unworthy.

As he died on the Atronach Forge, the Forge itself absorbed his soul, and the resultant energy surge reanimated his body. Corrupted by the abyssal taint of the dremora, Caraid gave up on magic and fled the college so that no-one need ever know what he had done.

I'd like to play a Shabti Bloodrager with the Abyssal bloodline to represent the taint that has replaced much of his soul. This seemed like a good time for a shabti, what with it being cannon that souls are used to power most magical weapons etc. If it's too far out I can try to come up with something else.

Also, I once built all the Skyrim player races using Pathfinder rules. I'd be happy to send you the document if you'd like.

Okay, I went through and made some offers. If you received one, you were chosen to develop further. Thanks so much, and Happy Holidays!

Don't think I'll play, but I'll toss in a PC or NPC concept for you:

Ethlanthilas Gaeleanthal. Highborn elf wizard/ranger. This guy has a major attitude against how the Admeri Dominion is handling things and wishes to make changes in the overall structure of power. In addition, he sees the humans, Nords, Bretons, Redguards...ALL OF THEM, as the greatest threat to the world with their expansions and ever-consuming ways. Therefore, Gaeleanthal wants to become the strongest, most powerful in the world. To do that, he learned that a wealth of power and treasure lies in Skyrim for his goals to take place. On his way to the College of Winterhold, he was caught up in an Imperial ambush that was laid out to capture Ulfric Stormcloak. And the adventure begins...
