Have I been mostly staying in bounds in terms of Druids, magic, and the like? I've been looking in to it but there isn't a lot of data on just what is secret and how secret it is. The language is also a fun paradox of not being able to teach it to non-druids but all lv 1 druids already know druidic.

I'd agree you're fine. It's more flavor than anything else, I think, and you're living up to the concept, IMO. There's a difference between teaching aspiring druids and teaching, say, Thael (I was going to say Caspan, but he's not even going to bother to learn Dwarvish, most likely) ...

Some of you know that I am 3D modeling hobbyist and visual my players from time to time. Anticipating a romance with Thael, I had created Mia awhile ago for use when the relationship with the wizard would take off. Independently I had been working with Corrik on creating Selde, so naturally putting the two together in a shot with the crown she made was something I wanted to do.

First, that is super impressive. Well done! That's a fun hobby.

Second, when I asked what Mia looked like, you did NOT describe her like that. You said she was average looking with a hooked or prominent nose (I'll have to find that description). This is a concern because now Mia is really attractive!

Impressive art. I dabbled in that a while back but the expense of buying the software models got too much, especially when the program (I was using Poser) kept getting upgrades that made old purchases obsolete.

Regarding the survivors, could you give some kind of sense of the ages of the individuals? Except for Kining, I have the impression most are young adults, mostly in their twenties. Is any older than thirty or forty?

While I do sometimes use Maya, it's far easier to create this art working from base models when you don't have to create everything from scratch.
So I've gravitated to using Daz which is an evolution of Poser. I've been accumulating the models for awhile now, having approximately 4500 assets to work with. While I can't create everything, I've got a fair bit of material to work with to do almost anything.

Outside of Abby and Kining, most of everyone else is young just as you mention. The exception are the Pars brothers, Clidon and Farrow. Clidon is older and is in his 40s, Farrow is in his late 30s.

Sorry for the delay everyone, my wife was in a pretty serious car accident Tues. She is luckily ok, but have been dealing with the aftermath of that the last couple days and have just been a bit mentally exhausted. Oh, just figured out I was a doofus again. A psychic has no reason to require a silent Metamagic staff as they don’t have vocal components to their spells.

Would it be okay, if I swapped it for another 3000 gold Metamagic staff? I haven’t used it yet, and I just remembered this morning about the difference in psychic casting.

Sorry I've once again been AWOL. After my project completed a few weeks ago, I had gotten way behind on my grading and it took full time effort to get it done by the end of the term. Just wanted to note that I've just changed back to a second shift at my job; if anything, I think it means I'll likely be a little bit more consistent in posting, though my time of posts will probably switch to most often in the late mornings/early afternoons. Thanks. I hope everyone is wearing helmets. As a cautionary tale, look up what happened to Michael Schumacher, multiple times the Formula One Grand Prix champion. After retiring, he was skiing in the Alps without a helmet, crashed and hit a tree and was in a coma for a year. Ironic that he wears a helmet while racing and suffers no major head injuries, but fails to prepare for a ski run with the same caution.

Of course, the only skiing I've ever done is a day of X-country in southern California decades ago.

I was in Champion, a resort called Seven Springs. I've been going every year with my family for about thirty years now.

I made sure my kids all wore helmets, I have never gotten around to putting a crown on this noggin though. Maybe next year.

Ah; I think that's out west. I'm in the east.

I haven't skied in ages, but I was wearing a helmet the last few years. It actually wasn't at all uncomfortable. Didn't take me much time to get used to it, which surprised me since I'd grown up not wearing helmets on the slopes.

As I’ve gotten to my mid40s, last week I proved I’m brittle enough to break my foot just by taking a wrong step. No skiing for me anytime soon!

I’m sitting in my othopedist’s office right now as a matter of fact.

Though I live in Utah, I've only been skiing twice (had a bad experience the first time, okay the second). But my wife blew out both her knees her first ski outing, so we've never gone.

All four of our kids love to ski, though (with helmets).
