Non-Loot Rewards:
5-1B: When you would stash any number of Plunder cards, any character may instead choose a basic boon from the box and shuffle it into their deck

5-1C: When you make a Survival Check, you may bury a boon to use STR, CON, or INT die instead of the normal one.

5-1E: You may add 1d4 to checks vs Undead banes. You may bury a card to Banish a Pirate Shade Haunt displayed next to your character

AD 1: You may bury a boon that has the Swashbuckling Trait to recharge 1d4 random cards from your discard pile.

5-3A: When you would banish a random plunder card, you may examine 2 random plunder cards and choose the one to banish.

So we get 2 card feats.

I may as well start increasing my allies so I'll take ally for both.

As for tiering up, My role card is unexciting so I have no preference either way.

If you both want to wait: I will be adding Raven for 1 ally. For the other I'll either be taking ally 3 for yet another useless monkey or if you both want the ally 3 I'll add Snow Leopard as my other ally.

If you both want to tier up: I'll take Hatchetbird instead of Snow Leopard. My role will be Animancer and my card feat will be +1 hand size.

As for upgrade I'll only take the ally 3 if both of you have no use for it since it would just be a Monkey.

I must have missed something. Where do we get the second card feat from? All I'm seeing is the one from completing the 4th scenario at our tier.

I also seem to remember there being a rule about not being able to use role cards in scenarios with Adv. # less than 4, so I don't think there's a point to tiering up early.

I would like to add an Item to the deck upgrade supply. Depending on what we draw, I would either grab an Item 3 and Ally 3, or Ally 3 and Spell 1 if it comes to that.

If an empty slot still exists in my deck after deck upgrades, I would fill it with Stoneskin (a spell 1).

Ah right. We did the promo at tier 4 and got a skill feat + bonus power feat. And now we get a regular power feat.

For 5-4B's deck upgrade, I would really like a Spell 4. The other options aren't very good for me at this moment.

I have multiple good ally 4s but the Pteranodon let's me move which is key.
Erasmus is looking for a weapon 3 so presumably want the weapon.

Tier 4 all I want is 1 or 2 more ally 4s and a blessing 3. Oh and maybe a weapon 3 to upgrade underwater crossbow to Animalbane Crossbow +2.

Once we hit tier 5 my priority will be spell 5 for Aspect of the Tiger.

I would really like to get the Spell 4 so that I can put in my deck Channel the Gift, which basically equates to a second copy of every spell in my deck, when I need it. That being said, I just took a Spell 4 upgrade during the last mission, so I'll be happy to concede it to Erasmus if he needs it.

For my card feat, I will of course take a spell.

Don't forget that Channel the Gift let's anyone at your location search or a spell. So it could allow Ukuja to search for an emergency cure or Erasmus search for Call Spirit before one of us takes a big turn.

Channel the Gift is a really good spell. Enora can have the Spell 4 upgrade.

I won't take an upgrade.

I'll take a Spell Feat in preparation of adding in Entice if we get another Spell 4. For now, I'll fill it with Object Reading (Spell 2).

Wow! Entice is super cool too. I hadn't read it.

It looks like Enora can add Channel the Gift to her deck. As for loot, she will continue to use the Ring of the Skull. In addition, she will also use the Immortal Dreamstone and the totem necklace. She will be setting aside her Dreamcatcher and Byzantine Lexicon.

5-4 D End of Scenario Summary.

Tier reward: None!

Tiering up: Not yet. I'd like to enjoy playing as Enora for as long as possible.

Deck upgrade: Enora would like to take the Ally 4 or Item 4. However, I know Ukuja needs the allies and can't really use the other upgrades, so I will defer to him. Right now, Enora's best option is to take the Staff of Minor Healing, an Item 3. She will take out her Hollow Book.

Loot: Enora will continue using the Immortal Dreamstone (instead of Dreamcatcher) and Totem Necklace (instead of Byzantine Lexicon). I will no longer use the Ring of the Iron Skull.

Thanks. Until we get tier 5 boons allies and blessings are my only useful upgrades.

I'll upgrade Raven to Druid of the Green Faith and that means I don't have any allies I want to trade for the Monkey Loot so I won't be taking any loot.

Ukuja will hold off on tiering up until we start doing tier 5 scenarios.

Deck Upgrade: Enora would like to take the Ally 4 to get Ice Chemist in her deck, which comboes excellently with her Magnetic Grimoire. If someone else needs the ally 4, I could hold off on this upgrade for a bit.

Loot: Enora will continue using the Immortal Dreamstone (instead of Dreamcatcher) and Totem Necklace (instead of Byzantine Lexicon).

Upgrade: Considering Replacing Force Missile with Scrying (Spell 4). 1d8+2d4+1 is/has already fallen off really hard and I'm almost never manifesting Basalmo to make my Arcane good (Sorry Enora!). What do people think?

About force Missile: yeah. I doubt you will ever use magic to fight anymore, so replacing your combat spells with more utility options makes a lot of sense.

Probably time we discuss Ukuja's end game.

Ukuja has been tearing up combat with his Wendifisa Spear and cranked up survival skill. This has often been aided by Erasmus's Veldira and Enora's Binder's Tome.

But Wendifisa Spear is a b rarity weapon. And weirdly neither the Hunter deck or UW has any high level weapons that key off Survival.

So all I can really do to improve Ukuja's combat abilities to meet the increasing enemy difficulty is to increase my Survival or Wisdom skill.

Here are all of the upgrades I'm considering in tier 5 and 6.

Weapon
Chakram of Ruin (Weapon 6)
While this won't be as good as my spear it has a few things going for it.

It can be discarded to ignore a BYA effect, It can be discarded when I use the spear to add 1d4 +3 dmg, and it can be used against barriers with the Obstacle trait.

Armor
Bearskin Armor (Armor 5)

Garbage for preventing damage but "Reveal this card to add 2 to your Survival or Fortitude check."

Spell
Aspect of the Tiger (Spell 5)
Displays for the whole scenario. And while gaining Acrobatics and Stealth might come up, The big benefit is being able to reroll one of my dice on any failed combat roll.

Seek Quarry is I'm sure a fantastic spell for large parties but I don't think we need it.

Item
Headband of Inspired Wisdom (Item 5)
I have the handsize for this but would have to give up one of my 2 items. Probably Angelstep.

Ally
My class ability rewards higher tier allies but none of them are notable upgrades except for
Shadowcat (ally 6)
"Recharge this card to add your Wisdom or Survival skill to another character's combat check."
I checked and that does mean I would add 1d10 +7.

Blessing
We don't get enough good blessings to worry about this.

tl;dr

At tier 5 I'm interested in every boon but weapon but the biggest early boost is probably spell. Also I'll probably be dropping Angelstep soon so we will lose some healing.

Skill feat: Con is tempting but in the long run I'll want better Dex so I'll boost dex.
Upgradewise I'm looking at upgrading Call Animal to Aspect of the Tiger.

End of Scenario 5-5A

Tier reward: Skill Feat - CHA ☑+1

Deck Upgrade: Enora would like to take 1 of the Spell 5's to replace Life Drain with Steal Soul.

Re-filling empty slots: Enora banished her Blessing of Besmara, as a result, the Blessing of the Spellbound that was replaced to put the loot blessing in is banished from Enora's deck. She will re-fill the slot with Blessing of the Savored Sting

Loot: Enora would like to continue taking the Immortal Dreamstone and Totem Necklace, unless someone else wants them. She would also like to replace Imp in her deck with Avimar Sorrinash for this mission, as we seem to benefit more than usual from having the swashbuckling trait added to our checks. With that, Enora will continue bringing the Blessing of Besmara with her instead of a Blessing of the Spellbound.

Tier Reward: Power feat "(or Acid, Electricity, or Force)" on power that allows Enora to discard a spell to reduce a type of damage to 0.

EDIT: Changed my mind. Instead, I would like to take the feat " When you play a spell that has the Cold or Fire (☐ or Acid, Electricity, or Force) traits, you may replace any one of those traits with another of those traits."

Upgrade Enora will take the Spell 3 upgrade. She will replace Sphere of Fire with Ring of Fire

Other: Enora banished one of her Blessing of the Spellbound, so she needs to fill out an empty slot. She will refill the empty slot with Blessing of Isis (a Blessing 3).

Loot: Enora would like to continue using Immortal Dreamstone instead of her Dreamcatcher, and Totem Necklace instead of her Byzantine Lexicon.
