Surprised T'Kai isn't able to recall much of anything about these strange Izalgunn. 701 begins to look around for the needler while Shrec pulls out her auto-target rifle and sends a couple rounds into the aquatic alien.

T'Kai, living on the edge, links his mind with the shattered Izalgunn's begins to delve deeper into it and finds that hardly any intelligence remains as the creature has devolved.

M'Shak begins to flit through the computers and quickly realizes that they were for little more than diverting water from the Repository’s main water supply, and a replication device occasionally jettisons the biological matter that forms the fungus, insects, and small marine animals that live here.

Tongues leap out 15 feet at 701 and Shrec.

Their minds seem devolved due to being that way for so long. There is no reason to believe that the serums would not work the same as it did on you. Does that change anyone's actions?

T'kai would like to see if it works. I realized after doing my turn that we never specified if we loaded more serum into the other darts.

Shrec will go last, and if they still haven't changed, he will fire. Green does not have as much damage as red, as I'm assuming they have the same HP, so no threat of it dying right now, and nonlethal damage can always be a thing when they have lots of damage on them.

I'll delay until T'kai shoots them with the serum, if it doesn't work I'll take my shot, if it works I'll move towards T'kai to at least help soak some damage.

T'Kai loads up one of the serums and fires it into the red-tinted Izalguun. As with M'Shak earlier it doesn't seem to have an immediate effect, though a sort of intelligence begins to shine back into it's eyes. As with M'Shak's evolution and cure it took roughly a minute, if only you could hold out long enough.

The rest of the group remains hopeful, though T'Kai can only shoot them one at a time and it looks as if the serum is going to take a small bit of time. Though a minute in a life or death battle can prove grave for all.

The Izalguun's continue to try and grapple with their tongues to pull their prey into the dark waters.

@Shrec- You are nowhere near in range to do an unarmed strike. You would need to get in the water. What you can do is nonlethal damage with a lethal weapon with -4 penalty to the attack.

701 attempts to fend off the sticky tongue while T'Kai fires another dart at the other Izalguun. The dart strikes the water, throwing it off course as it misses.

M'Shak aims her pulsecaster at the water and electrifies it, shocking the wounded Izalguun.

The Izalguun's give chase as they easily swim through the water and attempt to grab the pair of Starfinders and drag them into the waters below. They utter guttural growls and gurgles but nothing intelligible.

I assumed, cause they tongued me last round, they pulled me in.

"Lets try this again." Bracing his shooting hand T'kai takes aim and squeezes the trigger.

Unfortunately they keep rolling too low for the grab portion to actually take affect. :(

701 continues to remain defensive as Shrec leaps into the water and over the railing. Need an Athletics check for swim each round you are in the water.

Shrec makes it just past the tongue and punches the Izalguun right in the throat.

T'Kai manages to load the final serum into the needler and sticks the remaining Izalguun with the serum.

M'Shak spends too much time on the computer and misses the shot.

The pair of Izalguun's dart back into the water as they swarm Shrec like sharks in chum water.

Shrec has no problems with the swim, though her attacks flounder in the murky waters a bit. T'Kai sends out a mental impulse into the Izalguun commanding it to flee.

Though the devolved state is simply too much and resists the urge. M'Shak continues to electrify the water, shocking the red-eyed Izalguun as it looks near to collapsing.

"T'kai, do we have more doses, and do you think they'll help? You are the one with the training after all... I'm thinking on diving to help Shrec if he's not back up soon." Still, he moves closer to the railing and shoots at the green one.

Just noticed that Paizo ate the post I made two days ago! I'm so sorry for not picking up on that sooner mate! (I had even moved my token)

T'kai attempts to fling some of the debris at red. Nonlethal -KAC: 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 7 - 4 = 19 bludgeoning Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6 T'kai casts Telekinetic Projectile. T'kai will try to use another serum next round.

701 fires another dart into the green Izalguun's neck, angering it further. Not worrying about wounding the large creature Shrec slams right into it, unfortunately the injuries from the darts were just too much and it breaks the creature's neck before it has time to fully recover from the serum.

T'Kai flings debris at the second one and the small stones are enough to knock it unconscious. Over the course of the next 30 seconds the unconscious Izalguun seems to evolve back into it's normal form, with far less gills.

Combat over.

Seeing the izalguun's body go limp, 701 begins to panic and exclaims "Wait, wait, wait... Don't die yet!" He then dives over the railing, trying to get something out of his backpack, pulls out a syringe and tries to pin it on the corpse, even if it pulls him into the depths.

Will try to use a Mk1 Serum of Healing on the izalguun.

701 pulls out a serum and jams it into the Izalguun that isn't breathing. The serum flows through the bloodstream quickly but overall doesn't have an effect as the injuries are too severe and its body too far gone.

Though the unconscious Izalguun still continues to breathe lightly.

After a short silence for the death of the Izalguun, M'shak starts looking at the Tear, to know how to take it.

In addition to the Tear, you can recover several other relics here, most made of gold or rarer alloys. These relics weigh 10 bulk in total and are worth 10,000 credits.

After some time the unconscious Izalguun awakens. "What..what happened?" It actually speaks and looks over at it's deceased companion in floating in the water. "Mother...Prima?" It sniffles.

Radiation poisoning that is what happened, and we should probably get out of here after clearing the place. Your buddy died as an indirect result of the radiation poisoning. No time to explain, we need to get what we were looking for and scaddale, but that is what happened.

My big friend tells the truth, something is leaking high levels of radiation that is causing horrible mutations, we need to get out of here fast.

Breaking the Tear free you are able to get Prima's offspring out of the radiation poisoning before it takes it's hold on any of you once more. The coherent Izalgunn still seems a bit confused but grateful for saving and sparing it's life. He seems eager to meet some of his own kind for the first time in his life.

Upon your return to Absalom Station, First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo is ecstatic. "With the Tear in the Starfinder Society’s possession, the rescue of the Starfinders behind the Godshield is near at hand. Thanks to your performance of this critical task, you have put themselves at the top of my short list of agents who are capable of assisting me in this endeavor."
