Caraid doesn't move, but the doppelganger is once again pelted with knives, which scatter past it and slam into the walls.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 Sigh...
Pitor eases the cell door open then goes to the tray and manages to grab himself…
what?: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Improvised weapon so it does 1d2 + str mod, but you take a -4 to hit
He also notices several heavy sacks by the door.
Garrosh manages to reach through the cell door bars and gets the keys. 5 ft step, move action pick up keys.
Do you want to open the door this round or no?
Caraid’s knives bounce off the wall of the ‘doctor’.
Rozalia steps back as the doppelganger unlocks her cell, but then the man kicks her and everybody starts to break out. The witch touches Kilarra's shoulder, granting her insight. "Get them!" she exhorts the tiefling.
Cast guidance on Kilarra, +1 to next attack roll.
Yep, I want to open the door Mort ;)
Kilarra grabs the nearest limb of the doctor and pulls as hard as she can through the bars. This is more of a grapple to restrain rather than bashing it.
Grapple: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11
I do not have improved grapple.
The doctor lashes out with her knife at Kilarra as Kilarra tries to grab her, but Kilarra manages to dodge out of the way.
slash: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
The doctor then laughs crazily as the muscles in her body begin to twitch erratically, then shift and reform into a grayish humanoid creature that seems almost unfinished, with a narrow head, gaunt limbs, and a sinister, noseless face.
The flimsy tiny pitiful blade in his hand does not strike confidence on the former town guard as that thing transforms into whatever it is now. But...
"Try the bags!" Ann shouts in his head, "Maybe they have something better!"
So Piotr listens and runs over to the sacks, pulling them open as quick as he can.
Piotr finds a longsword, a sling, 10 bullets, a belt pouch in one of the bags.
The other bags contain other adventuring gear, such as a kit, some paint brushes and paints, masterwork thieves tools, a spear, a dagger, a light crossbow, 10 bolts, alchemist fire(2), a kit, and 49 gold pieces, and a spell component pouch.Yet another bag contains, a masterwork rapier, a healer’s kit, a potion labelled “Enlarge Person”, another kit, a greatsword, a squire’s outfit, a light crossbow, 10 crossbow bolts, 2 vials of holy water, 60 arrows, a cold iron Morningstar, a shortbow, an old journal, a waterskin, weaponsmithing tools, a few coins, trail rations,10 durable arrows, another kit, 10 candles, a cheap holy text, flint and steel, an iron pot, a mess kit, rope, soap, a spell component pouch,10 torches, 5 days of trail rations, a water skin, a wooden holy symbol, a crowbar, a scimitar, a dagger and a shovel.
Remember you can only take 2 items per round, since its move action to pick up stuff
Kilarra lashes out with her fist, which is engulfed in holy flame. "By the light of Iomegathiel I smite you!"
Unarmed Strike: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Dmg: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 +1 if evil. I don't get much for smite at this level.
As Kilarra tries to punch the creature with a flaming fist, the creature ripostes with its bloody knife, drawing a nasty cut across Kilarra's stomach, causing her to flinch back in pain and the punch to miss.
shank?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
dmg: 1d2 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
6 dmg to Kilarra
"Heh...it seems tiefling skin isn't that tough either..."It muses to itself.
stabilize: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
"Weapons!" Piotr yells to the others.
I assume he can't grab anything at the moment, moving and opening took his turn.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 4 = 19 Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Definitely more by luck than judgement, one of the scalpels scattered on the floor leaps up and jams itself into the grey humanoids leg!
Garrosh moves to flank the creature with Kilarra - "Someone see to the man on the table if you can!"
I cannot move my icon on the map Mort :P
Kilarra's wound seals back up thanks to the mysterious healer woman. Now that the half-orc has a huge sword (where did he get that!?), Kilarra decides restraining the monster is a better choice.
Grapple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
The doppelganger lashes out with the bloody knife, cutting her arm and causing her to flinch in pain. The monetary distraction allows the doppelganger to slip out of her grasp.
knife: 1d20 ⇒ 17
dmg: 1d2 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
5 dmg to Kilarra
The doppelganger stands up, as Garrosh strikes it with his bastard sword, opening up a deep gnash from shoulder to hip.
atk: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
dmg: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
"Okay, I prefer my experiments when they are less fighty and bitey. Buh-bye!" The doppelganger says as it makes a dash for the door.
13 dmg to doppelganger.
Would provoke but you're out of AOOs, Garrosh, and Kilarra doesn't threaten.
Garrosh gives chase to the doppelganger - "Do not try to escape - we need answers!"
Ready an action to slice him if he tries to escape or attack me. Can I do that?
Piotr grabs a longsword from the pile and dashes toward the gray thing.
Kilarra steps out the door and moves over to the doppelganger. She stomps hard on its foot with her hoof in an attempt to get it to buckle over and fall down.
Trip: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
The doppelganger lashes out at Kilarra with one of its claws, this time, as she tries to trip it,giving her a nasty slash on the chest, then dodges nimbly out of the way of her hoof. "Hey! This wasn't how it was supposed to go!"
claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
dmg: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
9 dmg to Kilarra
The doppelganger drops its bloody knife then tries to cut a path through, via Kilarra, making a bee line for the door, but the doppelganger's claws do not get through her scaly skin.
claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
I guess my readied action did not trigger huh? :P
"You would rather die than negotiate your surrender? So be it?!" - Garrosh roars, swinging as hard as he can.
Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Damage if it hits: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Mort, I am using the same to-hit and damage you used here, but I don't get those numbers - are they 'secret'? :D
Please remember he has Power Attack (while raging only) ;)
Piotr keeps his words and thoughts to himself, even though fighting next to these people just seems right.
longsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
His sword hand jumps in odd motions though causing his swing to go wide. "Sorry!" Ann yells in his brain "I panicked and... why can I control your HAND!" in a truly horrified tone.
Your standard attack is +4 to hit(copied from your previous post). I gave +2 for flanking with Kilarra. A medium bastard sword does 1d10, and since its under exotic weapon proficiency so you need to wield it as a martial weapon 2 handed at 1.5x str dmg..and oh! I derped up. I thought you had 16 str. So your attack should be +3 and dmg 1d10+3,non raging. Teach me to copy paste next time. >< Bloodragers start with 1 bab
Also your triggers were attack you, and not attack so...you know how programing on lawful cats go. It didn't manage the escape part due to missing twice.
Garrosh strikes at the doppelganger opening a nasty wound in its hip. A grey fluid leaks out of the wound. 19 dmg done
Piotr's sword swing goes wide as Ann panics.
Kilarra starts getting a little nervous as this creature fights to drag her down with it.
Punch, defensive: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 - 4 = 13
Dmg: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
AC 15 this round.
Garrosh does not relent, gaining momentum from the creature's apparent weakness, a savage glow in his eyes.
Should have done this ages ago - free action: Rage (11/12)
Bastard Sword, 2h: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Damage if it hits: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Garrosh cuts down the doppelganger with one mighty swing of his bastard sword, which at that very moment also chooses to shrink into its original size, leaving him holding a shaving knife sized bastard sword in his right hand.
A cold iron furnace hunkers in the corner of the basement, its four-foot square door gaping half open. Nearby sprawls a heap of gory clothes and otherwise dubiously flammable thrash. Amid the garbage pile, the party finds a field plate embossed with an owl, 2 sets of scale mail, a set of masterwork studded leather, a breastplate with a canine symbol on it, a heavy steel shield, a wooden shield.
Garrosh snarls at teh now dead creature, re-attaching the now minuscule to the symbol at his neck.
He glances at those around him, and hesitates for a second, but then moves to the one on the table - "Can any of you help him?" - he inquires, looking at the man without really knowing what to do.
Untrained Heal to check on him: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
"Anybody have ANY idea what is going on?" Piotr asks.
Softly Ann responds with a "No"
"Figured that, Anyone else?"
Realizing the man who helped them is still strapped to the table, Piotr goes over with his sword and either unstraps him (if it looks like that is easy enough) or cuts them if not. "There's gear in those sacks over there." he gestures to the door while he works.
"We're... we must be prisoners of war." Answers Kilarra. "Healing lady, can you check on the poor soul on the table?"
Kilarra makes her way to the sacks first and starts rifling through them. "Ah good, my uniform." She says as she starts changing without regard for the men in the room.
Rozalia quickly crosses to Caraid to hug her son. "Are you hurt? Did they do anything to you?" she asks. Once she is sure he is okay, she inspects the man on the table to see if there is anything she can do for him.
Piotr looks over as Kilarra speaks, then quickly looks away, cheeks a bit flushed. "Tsk tsk brother." Ann teased, knowing he is tempted to look again.
Basically you find anything that isn't your armor of your gear in the sacks, your armor is at the furnace. If I missed a few items, my apologies.
The man on the table is a network of bloody lines, that are inflicted by instruments from the tray. He is currently unconscious, but his breathing and pulse seem steady enough.
