Damn, that's well done Mort! :D
Ok I just found my wallet missing today and had to do all the necessary admin stuff of suspending cards. Luckily the cards have not been used as of the time since I last saw my wallet.
I think I've stretched myself too thin fulfilling the various promises I've made to people considering I've been having 4-5 hours of sleep for the past few days. I think the lack of sleep has caused me to do stupid things like losing my wallet.
I did make two of these for lunch though.
Good to know you managed to cancel all the cards before any damage was done - happened to me once, losing the wallet - sucks BIG TIME...
4-5 hours of sleep are definitely not enough. I am sure you know that, just wanted to reinforce it. I do believe each people have their own cycles, oscillating somewhere between 6 (or 6 and a half) hours to around 9 hours of sleep each day. But below that, and you start functioning worse, mainly if it goes on for a long period.
And what are those? :D
5h 23,5h 39,4h 10 for the last 3 days. I promised my dad to do a data transfer to a new phone(since his Samsung health wasn't tracking very well),which took hours because I was panicking over why his grab hitch didn't work(it was already deactivated earlier because of a prior fault of his own, but I didn't know as I was fiddling his phone after he went to bed so as not to interrupt his phone usage time).
Then there was all that frustration of trying to get AIA vitality to link to my Fitbit (actually all I needed to do was wait for a night),after I also transferred my data to my new phone so I could give my dad my old phone(its smaller so fits into his pocket better).
On sat I wouldn't need to take a taxi (and thus even use my wallet),had I not remembered I left the ring my BF gave me in the office and went back to take it. I think I left my wallet in the taxi, but as it was dark and I was in a hurry,I did not take note of the taxi company.
Then on Sunday my mom said no I can't do beans early in the morning because she needs the kitchen later in the morning,so I woke up at 4 am to set the beans into the pot. Get what I mean by various commitments?
That is remarkably cute. Were they good?
And SLEEP IS IMPORTANT!
I think the buns came out a bit plain since it was simple old salt and pepper and they were rather hot coming out from the oven so trying to get a grab on them so you could eat them like a traditional burger was a bit challenging. And there was quite some extra green pepper and onion and chicken later, which I happily scarfed down.
But I wanted my mom to try some so I didn't dare to get too creative with seasonings otherwise I'd have started shaking basil over the burger buns.
I'd have liked to try with bigger portobello mushrooms but couldn't find them.
Tomorrow, early, I leave to embark on a trip to the outdoors, well to a cabin in the outdoors, with my parents, sisters, and our families. Since we're all big horror movie fans I am 92% sure some kind of axe wielding drowned as a boy now bigger than weightlifter killer type while hunt us down one by one, slowly, and that will be it. But in the slight chance (8%) that it does not happen I will be back to regular posting on Sunday... unless there is wifi that is.
You all have my permission to bot Piotr and Ann as needed/desired.
Treasure, is it possible that this post can count as my alerting you for Cleo and Aster's potential absence?
I think we have bears. So, carry donuts, throw them and back away slowly. And if I don't see any bears, I still have the donuts!!!
So guys... I think it is safe to assume Auryl has left the game? Mort or the others, any news from him? He hasn't posted here since the 13th of June.
It is a shame to see Auryl go, hope all is well with him - I liked his character.
And we could use a cleric :D
If I'm allowed to change my wild talent again I can pick up Kinetic Healer which would get some decent mileage on fixing HP. Not much condition removal (unless I go into the Kinetic Chirugeon archtype) but assuming Roz is still here she could cover that?
I can check if Roz is still around.
I also went for a 22 km hike yesterday. The organisation was not so optimal - the organizers did not walk through the route before hand so there was like 2h overrun. And lots of rushing. My walk speed is rather slow so I was having some problems keeping up with the group (eh not really if I decide to run instead of walk, but keeping within the spirit of the walk).
I'm off to Italy for the next week so I won't be posting much, if at all. Please bot me as required. :)
I'm happy to do with a recruit - as I said Kinetic Healer would do a pretty good job of fixing damage heals. :)
I'm back as well. The place was lovely and didn't ONCE try and kill me. :)
Piotr has cure light wounds as well, due to getting a level in spiritualist. I guess being wounded would have been a good time for him to discover having them.
As for our options, five is a good number I think, though am happy if anyone knows a good player that might want to play as well. As long as we can manage our healing decently.
My walk speed is also rather slow Mort. I go at my dog's pace which requires a stop to smell everything. Absolutely everything. Did you have fun, despite the bad organization?
I told you nothing would go wrong, we should all get out more =)
Is it summer where there are lots of things to smell? The flowers here don't have much in the name of scent..
Hmm well I got to see places of Singapore I usually wouldn't see and an idea of the possible issues which may crop up with longer distance runs. Other then personal stamina, there will be a need to refuel (food + water).
Have a nice vacation, Caraid!
I, unfortunately, have a very limited sense of smell. Draco, my dog, I assume has a great one since he sticks his nose into all he can at every opportunity. :) Lots of flowers around here at the moment, and yep it is summer here. My youngest kayaked by himself and loved it.
I thought you carried a bag with you on your runs, with hydration and snacks?
Also, since I failed to do so already, HAVE A GREAT TRIP CARAID!!!!
Cool! The first time I kayaked I only managed to paddle myself in a circle.
It's a pet peeve of mine that I HATE carrying anything on runs. Hell I'd rather run 10k without any hydration (been there, done that), since taking a drink in the middle slows your timing.
Besides I also don't have those ergonomic bags so anything I carry will bounce around unless I carry it in my hand. I grudgingly carry my handphone(sometimes) on runs in my hand when I'm trying to track my cadence but anything else makes me grumpy.
No worries at all about Ann's welcome. Makes for a better story.
I misunderstood about the bag somewhere then. I can understand about the bouncing, especially on long runs. That sounds like it would be highly irritated.
Piotr is wanting the kid to decide on his own, since it is his brother and his risk. Ann doubts the thing is his brother so is against it.
You climbed 40 flights of stairs? :O
root canal number 2 today... a surprise 'You need another one!' so curling up in something mind numbing, like work, then will try and post later.
40 floors is HARSH! That probably gets your heart really racing.
And it is unforgiving on your knees, right?
On root canals... I have done it before, but my dentist is impressive. So much so, I almost fell asleep as she went through the process ;)
Uhhh...I wasn't even sweating heavily(which my teammate commented on) when I got to the top but again I was pulling the rear. Again, I pulled off 80 storeys one fine Saturday morning. Now there's a school of thought that stairs climbing is easier on your knees then running....
Again running up the stairs is an entirely different ball game in terms of difficulty.
Body weight workout:
3×15 box jumps on sit up station(about 18 inches high, took breaks in between)
3x 10 body weight rows (took breaks in between)
4×8 psychometric push ups on knees(took breaks in between)
Shuttle run 20 sec with 10 secs rest in between, 6 times total
Hanging from bar for 1 min
5 min plank (took 3 breaks)
One arm waiters carry of 3 kg weight for 1 min on each arm.
Practiced trying to pistol squat(x10) on each leg
40 leg raises
Also ran up 10 storeys of stairs of a residential building.
Hiits(High intensity interval training):
1 battle rope pull(bloody thing didn't budge)
27 sit ups while holding a 4 kg ball
Jump over 0.5m height pole (x15)
Single battle rope slam (x58)
Tyre flip of 40 kg tyre (×18)
Sandbag throw of 8 kg sandbag (x14)
Now another question Mort - why so much workout? :D
All that sounds very painful. My morning has just consisted of coffee and scones so far. And a discussion of pointer arithmetic with my eldest kids. So, pleasant so far.
Because I was due a weights day, then my HIITS buddies were saying there were free goodies to get if I could go for this HITTS stuff and finish all the stations. Me being me, said bring it on =D
The running up stairs is part of training for vertical marathon and I'm trying to train to do a pistol squat for bragging rights.
But also I've been up for 20 h straight(4.30am this morning, its 11 PM now) so even if I do have a lot of stamina its not completely limitless.
A sandwich made out of Eggplant! And the eggplant was solid, not mushy? Eggplant is not something we make often, I think the last time was over a decade ago if I had to guess.
|Just a Mort|
Today is national day so I ran 5 km at a leisurely pace(took me about 35 min to do do), then cooked my various foods for the week(only missing the cucumber), made osmanthus jelly, hit the gym then went to my BFs national day family dinner and made a pig of myself.
Yes, the amount of food I can put away is shocking especially after a workout(weights or cardio it doesn't matter). Did manage to limit the calorie damage by going nuts on the greens - finished like about half a plate of leafy greens by myself. Then went batsh*t crazy on the clams (I figure I need the iron anyway).
Yes, I am one scary vegetable eating monster. Also I was deliberately putting myself on a calorie deficit in preparation for the pigging session.
