Three months after a crushing defeat, the Dwarves of Gold Peak must band together, defend the city, rally their forces and allies, and eventually rescue the captured King Dak Nimbus.

How does one reload the pitch, because that area damage with a burn effect was really, really helpful.

The frog retreats slightly and attacks from the water again, surely this time it can pull an orc into the drink!

But the cold water must be slowing the amphibian down. Rubius shakes his head with laughter and frustration. "C'mon ya big softie! Grab an orc!" But he focuses on his shooting, encouraging Olaf to do the same. "Take out the ones on the ladders, laddie, can keep yer head down!"

Olaf's shift rips into an orc's side and Rubius calls out encouragement "There ya go, laddie! Keep 'em comin' just like that!"

The wild dwarf motions over at his mountain lion. "Tawny! Come here! tip this thing on those raging dolts down there!"

But Tawny doesn't like the idea of leaping between the two towers. Or maybe the big cat simply didn't hear the command. Either way, he just crouches low to the ground as shafts whizz overhead.

Will try again next round. Looks like a DC 10 acrobatics check to me to make that long jump since he has room for a running start.

Rubius and his recruit score hits, but do not manage to bring down the ladder bearer. I’m five foot stepping you back from the orc that made it into melee with you.
Vargas grabs the pitch and reloads it, needing only to crank the level to relock the mechanism. One more action remaining to load.
Durnim’s shot finishes the last bow using orc, and you breathe a slight sigh of relief that their ranged capabilities are greatly diminished, but realize the melee threat is just beginning.

Kragg grunted as the axe bit into his buckler. His arm went numb from the blow. He focused, and an axe formed in his free hand, made of out stone.

He returned the attack with one of his own. The orc was almost certainly not expecting the Unarmed dwarf to create his own weapon, and as such he took the axe to the chest. Kragg hoped that it would be enough.

On the wall, the recruit fired at one of the orcs who was on fire. The orc jumped into the water just as the recruit fired, and the bolt impacted into the ground.

Volley fire is giving me that +4 to hit I'm so desperately needing with rolls like that... We're firing so many shots per round that I've been assuming I get the full +4 since round 1 but I might not in the case of this orc on the tower.

Kragg's axe hand impacts the orc, tearing steep chunks out of its flesh, but leaving it still standing.

The big cat leaps across and attacks, and Rubius steps back and fires, but the orc keeps his feet.

Thurgrom hits one of the remaining javelin orcs, but the others miss. As they watch the javelin orcs begin to advance towards melee-- they are down to their last javelins!

The orc leader advances- it's dire wolf giving him seemingly graceful mastery of the combat field, leaping onto the ladder after skirting around the grease- he will be upon you in the next round.

Orc L1 runs up the ladder and past! Thugrom, if you have the ability to make an attack of opportunity despite having a bow out you can do so.

Kragg let go of his stone axe as it was lodged in the orc’s chest. Another former in his hand. The orc jumped over the wall and right into the blade. It hit the beast in the neck.

Standing over the corpse he pointed the bloody axe at the orc leader.

”Oi! Ugly! Come and die!”

All around him the battle continued. There would be no retreat from the gate house. They weren’t fast enough. If they fell though, the orcs would pay for it in blood, and the recruits would hold the second gate. He hoped that the burning oil would be ready soon. It was needed now more than ever.

Thurgrom glares as the orc passes him. The mynrughdaer drops the long bow and grabs his dwarven axe. Confident that the other dwarves will handle to orc invaders that passed him, Thurgrom eagerly waits for the next orc he sees climb the ladder to strike.

Tawny, enraged that orc attacked him, unleashes a spitting and yowling hail of tooth and claw, seeking to bring the orc down.

Hearing the sound grow as the orcs crowed around down below Vargas takes advantage of not being engaged to go over to the other vessel of pitch, oil and flame to drop it over the horde.

If it have it correct at the start of the round there is a full one and also one 2/3 ready from Vargas' earlier round. This is dumping the full one.

Recruits pepper the leader with arrows, and the massive orc roars, seeming to revel in and gain power from the fury and anger of battle! You can tell the orc is raging, having seen dwarf battle ragers before.

Kragg suddenly realized that he had failed to think things through. He had no sooner killed one orc before two more were on him...and one was their leader! It’s great axe nearly took off his head. One recruit's shot strikes an orc on the ladder which Rubius had hit a moment before, and it falls with a screech into the water.

Rubius launches a flurry of arrows, striking one of the orcs headed towards the ladders, felling him as he ran. You will notice for sure now that the second wave orcs are slightly less hardy than the first wave which was the vanguard.

Tawny swipes at the orc that attempted to run past, dropping it and keeping the path behind you clear. The cat turns back and claws the orc leader, raking deep into his flesh.

Vargas cursed as the invaders continued to reach the top of the battlements and Kragg had nearly been cloven in twain. "I nearly reloaded the other pitch, finish and drop it! We are getting overrun!" He called across to the other dwarves while stepping back to see if he could further spoil progress for the third time, and maybe give them a chance to either flee or capitalize on the chaos.

I'm a little confused as to which one is the leader. It seems like it should be the unique one with the red eyes but he's not close to Kragg. I'll focus on thinning the horde of any orcs I can shoot freely at.

Okay. Now the chaos of battle begins!
L3 orc swings wide with his attack, allowing the mynraghdaer to return in kind.

Missing another retreating orc, Thurgrom feels the sting of an advancing orc's weapon, while another one swings and misses. Damn! They're starting to swarm!
Then, quite suddenly, the dwarven scion feels the tendrils of magic immediately stretch and lengthen his form, now towering over the orc raiders.
Thurgrom smiles and screams an battle cry in the faces of the equaly-surprised orcs, bringing his waraxe down on the orc who struck him.

Tawny lashes out at the orc leader, biting deeply into him and clawing him once! (Bite and second claw hit, first claw misses)

Rubius fires twice at the horde of orcs, picking off a previously uninjured orc from the front. (but not in the grease).

Thurgrom seems to curse the gods silently as he misses improbably twice! I don't use critical fumbles- seems cruel when you're already having bad luck to kick you while you're down to me- just an auto miss if it would have hit.

Kragg’s quick attack takes a bite out of the orc’s leg as it moved passed. He turns and stabs again, ending the orc, it’s body tumbling off the parapet to the water below.

Tawny lashes out at the leader, clawing and biting it, then Rubius turns and fires at close range, a shot finding purchase in the orc leader’s neck, felling him where he stands!

The Orc leader is down- Ungebrochen you can redirect your attack or change your action.

Vargas steps up and heals Kragg.

The greases have done their jobs, and besides a single orc prine in the one at the top, the top edge is clear for a moment, so ladders can be dropped without a roll for a move action. Tawny/Thurgrom/Ungebrochen can take ATOPS at the orcs that have run past, and Ungebrochen can change/clarify his last action, then that will bring up round 12. I will assume Durnim/his recruit were moving again last round so they can move then take this round's actions.
