Venture Lieutenant Play by Post PBP GM kit

GM, I am sorry that I have to interfere here.

It is not allowed to take credit for the game before it is finished. Once it is finished you have to wait until your character is not involved in a game before you can then apply the credit (which is applied after the game you just played in). See also this post by John Compton.

Ninlil is tactics-agnostic, but is much better at wizard-style subterfuge like Invisibility Sphere than she is at sleight of hand, heh. We do seem to be lacking a rogue. Our face is doing just fine, though!

And thus comes the second time where this character practically solo'd a mission because he was the only one with social skills.

I must accept part of the blame, because thus far I have been just hoping people would follow along with my weird plans. For reference, I was going to have her show us her wares and see if we could find the imp among them, and then if we did we would sneak out, incapacitate her, or something--I didn't really care which. The biggest part of the plan being that we make sure the mephit doesn't know what we're actually there for.

Cirri has a +8 Linguistics, and Riddywhipple has a +9. We can try forging the necessary contracts. The GM makes this roll in secret, usually. I don't know what the trick is with destroying the contracts.

I have a scroll of Dispel Magic we could use today, or we wait for tomorrow for me to prepare Dispel Magic.

Besides Linguistics (see above post), I also have these relevant skills:
+10 Knowledge (Arcana)
+16 Knowledge (Planes)
+14 Spellcraft

Riddywhipple also has these skills:
+12 Spellcraft

So I can try to dispel the ward on the document.

Then I can do K. Planes and Riddywhipple can Auto Aid whomever is trying Spellcraft (or he can do it solo.)

Or Cirri can try Linguistics. Does anyone have the relevant professions/crafts ?

All I've got on that list is Spellcraft. At +8. I'm really not much help in this situation (which is fine; I've been doing quite a bit in this scenario). However, I do have Dispel Magic prepped today, meaning we'll have a better chance at dispelling.

I don’t have anything to contribute on this one, unfortunately, unless we want to lunch Qualkama in the mouth.

Ninlil, though, is an arcanist! If you give her a handful of seconds, she can get a Dispel Magic ready and you won't need to burn a scroll on it. Well, assuming she doesn't nat-1 her dispel checks on all of her third-level spell slots, anyway. So that's one part of the challenge.

(I swear, this is, like, the third time that Profession (barrister) has come up in a scenario. Man, I need to make that Asmodean Advocate)

Masayoshi has a higher bonus (CL 9) and won't have to use up resources to get Dispel Magic, I'd rather he do it for right now and have Ninlil as a backup just in case the dice hate me.

Familiars can roll as well. And each player may roll once for each check (including aiding another) So Player A can be the primary roller for Check 1, aid on Check 2, and be the primary roller again on Check 3.

Masayoshi brings up a good point about the original contract having the alarming properties. Perhaps that's why Spellcraft is part of the checks for creating a forgery. ;-)

Cirri has a Deck of Illusions and the fountain is a decanter of endless water.

I could use the deck to create illusions and stall for time, or we can hose down the salamanders.

I wonder if we can just escape the manor at this point- seems like we ruined the party.

Added complication: Ninlil is signed up for a table at RetroCon (other characters might be as well), and we have about a month to finish Part II in time for her to be available for that event. Alternatively, we could wait until after RetroCon for Part II, but I worry about losing players/characters to other tables in the meantime. If everyone can post regularly and doesn't mind a bit of railroading, I think we could finish in time. What say you?

GM, just on question:

The character I am applying the credit to is from the Exchange faction.

Is it possible to approach some of the NPCs like the naga or the mephit with whom we had business contact to recruit them for the cause of the faction?

Can I bring other Pathfinders along to support as Crowe's diplomacy is not the best! ;-)

Sigh. Noral, I needed to know you were playing an Exchange character at the beginning of the adventure so we could do your faction missions as they came up. And if you are applying this credit to a character in the Exchange, then the information above is not correct anymore and needs to be updated before I can pass out Chronicle sheets. Also, I'm afraid you can't change which character you're applying a pregen credit to mid-session (unlike applying GM credit). I'm happy to discussion this further with you (either here or via PM), but I'm not sure I can accommodate this change at this time. Perhaps one of our more experienced GMs/VAs would care to weigh in?

And I do still need the name of the character you are applying the Chronicle sheet to, not "Pregen Crowe".

Also, Qalkami is still waiting for Crowe's responses to her inquiries.

I am so sorry for the confusion.

The character I am applying this chronicle to is still the same character I provided you at the beginning of the game (-10 / Name: Taarik) and the PC is first level.

I just retrained the character and believed that I retrained the character to EXCHANGE although I actually changed the faction to Sovereign Court.

Sorry again, so on the CS you can still use the -10 character as originally provided but write Sovereign Court as the faction please.

So no EXCHANGE FACTION TOPICS! Sorry again for the confusion.

I got a little aggressive in my PbP scheduling. Sorry. :) I so rarely get to play nowadays that when we got multiple options for playing Season 8 stuff I got excited!

Part 2 should go significantly faster than Part 1, I think! And I'm fine with starting now. My plan is that if Part 2 runs "long" then I'll just play someone else in the same level range and probably party role for Cosmic Captive, and hope that Retrocon 2020 is a thing, and maybe Ninlil will still be eligible to play Cosmic Captive then. :)
