This whole thing has been my favorite part of this game, so far. A little bit of throwaway fluff to introduce the necklace, and it blossomed into all of this. Serious props to you guys. Kel, in particular.
On a sadder note, I'm going to officially deem Buhayra as abandoned as of tomorrow. I'll be spending the day with my partner and his family tomorrow, but I'll try to reach out to some players who posted in recruitment to see if they'd be willing to come on as replacement. If any of you know any of them personally, I won't turn away recommendations.

Just curious, GMs: how are we handling Buhayra's disappearance in-game? Are we just moving along as if she weren't there before, or will there be some story element involving her deciding to retire from the piracy business?

@ Baolus: I can lend the money, sure. Especially as it seems like we won’t be raiding this village.
@ Keh: For now we have two ships. We could send her with a skeleton crew to go sell the ship and wait for us in port. Plenty of things could happen to her there that would make her give up piracy.
I do have a plan for having her exit the game, yes. Until then, she'll basically be a background NPC. Of course, Sven's idea is a good one. If you want to send her back to port with the lugger, you can do that, too.

About the boots, I decided against buying it... I looked at the wrong price. It costs 2000gp, so I'm not sure it is worth that much!

The herbalism druid domain acts like Brew Potion but only for spells I can cast. I can make 4 free ones per day.

Can you turn into a goliath frog? It has a Climb speed, so at night you can scale the walls. Sven could fly up and maybe carry one person. Maybe Tamesis, as she might be light enough.
Once the ballistae are shut down, our ship can batter down the gate. Or we can let down ropes for everyone else to climb up.

Right now my wild shape is limited to small and medium- aquatic or water subtype or that have the amphibious special quality. I can also choose to grow a pair of tentacles.
Giant flying piranha linked above is aquatic, small, and has fly speed :)

Do we need to kill them? An actual agreement could get the fortress taken and with men already defending it. Killing them all might well leave us with a tower and no soldiers to occupy it.

Realistically? There is absolutely no reason not to form an alliance, if the terms are beneficial to us.
Tamesis is just evil, and sees them as a threat. To her, forming an alliance will result in her being stabbed in the back, because if the situations were reversed, that's what she'd do. She'd rather leave someone she actually trusts in charge.
Also, everything dies eventually. The world will drown in flames. Destruction is her purpose.
Making money and having a good time is Sven’s. Destruction serves little purpose if not for one of those two. He urges the captain to not throw away either without good cause.

How much time until the dinner? I could brew some hibernate potions disguised as Urgan's Hangover Prevention Elixir. Each one would take 2 hours to brew.
I could also start some other 1st level spell potions if there are any requests.
