Seems I'm fresh out of saving graces by this point, but I feel as though we'll handle the robots just fine. Erm... eventually.

What weapon was she using? Perhaps Krizen or Bravo will find it a better match then what they're using currently.

Half-human Recovering Lawyer, multiclassed as Consultant

Hi all. I had said so to GM Coyote over PM, but I wanted to say here, too, I’m sorry for dropping off into the ether. I was having a lot of fun but had at one point been GMing three campaigns and playing in another three, plus work, parenting and life... it just got overwhelming. When I disconnected for the holiday, the depth of the burnout hit me. That was not cool to y’all nor Coyote, and I am really sorry for that.

Last year actually just got progressively worse until I gave notice to my old job in November and started a new one last month. my work life balance is 1000% better than it was. Then earlier this week I was reading though posts and remembered how much fun I’d had.

To prevent the burnout, I’m going to keep my number of games much more limited now. I see Quitch has left (Sad Panda), and there are a couple of different faces on the crew, but if you’re up for a crazy pirate SRO — and can forgive his d~!$~!@ player for ghosting on you — I would love to join back up when it’s the right time.

As a newcomer I probably don't have much say, but I'm pretty intrigued that there was another SRO character in the game previously. I'm sure the two robots might be able to find some sense of common ground- if the pirate can tolerate all the preaching.

I like this idea as a player. I think Krizen would be rightly terrified of the potential success Soundbyte could achieve.

GM, when I first made this character (for SFS actually) I only used the CRB. I took the priest theme, since that was the theme I thought most closely fit the RP I was going for....However since then this theme

Tempered Pilgrim has been written and it fits my character MUCH better.

Permission to switch over, I'll also switch my profile to a non SFS profile.

So, for whatever reason my work pc is having issues making a new alias, I'll try again from home.

It's supposed to be Farseeker, but I think something happened when I went to register the character with SFS. Since this isn't an official SFS campaign I've always just been using the profile as a hold until I make a new alias.

Time to do that.

GM Coyote, the new COM includes some alternative class features for Mechanics... I'd like to consider swapping out the exocortex for the experimental armor, if that's alright? Haven't made up my mind yet, but it will affect feat selection and weapon choice so I want to settle the direction before leaving the station, assuming your good with the swap.

Yeah, in the Website Feedback forum, there are a few threads on it. It's been an issue for a month or so. They're aware of it and, supposedly, have a "near term" fix for it.

I've updated my sheet. Does anyone think we should do any upgrades to the ship? Is Ship combat going to be a thing going forward? Nalun can donate 1000CR towards upgrading the ship as a "donation" from his order paying for his berth on the Pipe Dream.

GM, I'm totally making this Order stuff up as an ingame reason for Nalun to continue along with the group. Feel free to reign me in if I make any assumptions that don't fit with your worldbuilding.

Generally, the "economy" for ship building is completely divorced from the rest of the game's economy, so unless GM Coyote has a home-ruled system in place, you should keep your creds.

Not sure how we're doing ship tiers. There is an online build tool I like to use...

That is generally pretty easy to use, depending on whether GM Coyote wants us to build it or do it himself (since I imagine we're using a society-provided vessel).

I’m generally going to be staying away from ship combat, at least for the time being. I find it can be a bit of a drag in PbP. I’m currently traveling abroad which makes detailed rules lookup a little tricky, so at least for the next month we won’t be doing any.

When the occasion comes, I’ll let you all know.

I think I missed something at some point... My character sheet says I am still carrying the alien armor. I don't recall if we were actually given the armor / weapons back after they were analyzed...

EDIT: If we did get to keep them and no one else objects, Krizen is able to use both the nanite gun and the armor, and both would be an upgrade for him.

Nothing specific immediately comes to mind (I’m too old to keep memorizing this stuff) but fusions are great for weapons (why worry about dropping a weapon if it’s called), armor upgrades are great, too, and healing serums never go out of fashion.

Actually serious question. On the technopathy node, is that two-way and are SROs considered to have some sort of electronic “telepathy” amongst themselves? If not, can an SRO also just install a technopathy node? This seems hugely advantageous from a stealth perspective but I want to confirm the deets around the rules first.

One wonders. I know we have datajacks and a com unit for free installed, which I suppose sorta acts like a technopathy node. I'm not sure what to purchase for Soundbyte either, may just hold onto it for now.

On re-reading the actual crunch of the technopathy node.... I may have taken some liberties with my communications. Per the text, it's limited to 10 words at a time since it functions as telepathic message. However, an SRO can install a technopathy node with no problems, just as any other PC race. However, you would be unable to initiate contact with any of the crew besides Soundbyte due to the targeting limitations... Except... I think Krizen's Custom Rig will count as a valid target at 7th level+. (A long ways from now XP)

I’d say that SROs can use technopathy nodes between themselves, but it’s still require a standard action to activate.

Cool! If no one has objections, Krizen will wear the armor and use the nanite longarm.

@GM, can you confirm the nanite weapons charges, and whether any additional canisters are with them? Looks like I cannot afford more ammunition, so I'll keep the pistol handy too.
