Out of charector, I dont care really one way or the either. In charector Chellian would uh... protest yeah we will call it protesting and not whining, about you know maybe just one night looking for someone doing graffiti. Looming before the yawning hole that leads to the basement, Malakos triple checks his gear is situated before peering once more into the darkness.

Do I see anything with my darkvision like how deep is it or is there enemies?

He'll start uncoiling a rope, tying it to a surface nearby and preparing it with knotted handholds to make it easier to climb down.

Looking around at the others, who maybe don't have Darkvision, he'll cast Light on the rope before throwing it down into the pit.

She hadnt slept well the night before, the mixture of the poor warden's wifes story mixed with all the unnatural things occuring made it difficult. And she woke up angry, she was tired of that stupid jail, tired of being afraid of it and the things with in. Since none of the others wanted to you know avoid the place, there didnt seem to be any point in whining further.

Standing outside of the pit with the others, she watched Malakos check his gear only slightly nervously. Once he had the rope secure she nodded and made her way down first.

Sisu, excited that they finally got something resembling information from the warden's wife, wakes up ready to explore the lower level. She anxiously paces as Malakos sets up their descent and then begins climbing down after Chellian.

I leveled up Sisu this weekend and then went and forgot to update the profile so I'll have to do that when I get home from work today. I do know she didn't take a point in climb so at least this roll is accurate


Looking down into the pit you are able to tell that it is about 20 feet deep. Malakos you are able to see that at the bottom of the pit is a pool of dark murky waters. You guess that over time and because of the floors above crumbling into the lake it is seeping into the dungeon below.

Malakos finishes tying off the rope and after casting light on it it illuminates the pit. The light shows the jagged wooden rim of the hole and the blacked timber and stone of the lift shaft. Any of the machinery that powered the lift tumbled into the dungeon below during the fire.

With the help of the knotted rope you are all able to make it successfully down into the dungeon below.

This cavernous chamber may have once been an underground cellblock, but it has long since collapsed. The crumbled walls are thick with mold and stained with soot, and heaps of fallen stones and charred wooden beams line the area. Water drips and seeps along the walls, collecting in a dark, murky pool in the middle of the room. To the north, the twisted remains of a wood and iron life lie in a heap in a shallow portion of the pool. The jagged hole in the roof yawns above you. And to the west, a partially blocked opening seems to open up after several feet into a dark but stable tunnel.

As soon as you drop from the rope the whole room erupts in a cacophonous roar of screams and howls, the echos of the souls who were burned to death here. Stopping as fast as it started you notice that the surface of the dark water begins to ripple. As two spirits rise up ready to attack.

You seem to recall from your studies that these undead humans respond better to weapons that slash, like swords versus other kinds of weapons.

Chellian's powerful attack was enough to destroy the disgusting creature, Rahela's crossbow bolt flew through the area it was previously standing.

Sisu's spear hit the creature squarely in the chest but the sharp tip wasn't strong enough to pierce though its skin.

I dont Suppose Chellian got an attack of opportunity against light blue when it came for her, she does have reach.

They had closed enough he using her glaive would be awkward, but she didnt really like leaving Malakos and Rahela exposed but the space was too tight to properly weild her gliave. Gritting her teeth together she stepped back away from the monster ghost person thing trying to rush her and darted around behind it. Planting her feet she brought her glaive guisarme hard across the foe that hit her...and its friend.

Same question for Sisu; she had da spear going so would she have gotten an AoO when yellow came into 5' range but moved out of the 10' threat area? I guess it's kinda moot since the piercing damage from the spear is pretty useless. :)

Seeing that her spear wasn't affecting the ectoplasmic creature, and as it moved into close enough range that the spear was useless anyways, Sisu drops it to the ground and lashes out with her hands.

Chellian's quick moving and powerful attacks cut both of the creatures in two and their slimy bodies splashed into the murky water.

Searching around the edge of the water and in the shallow areas, you find nothing but rubble and lots of shattered bones mixed in with the debris. AS you head out of this chamber and down the hall you do notice that unlike the two floors above you the walls and floors here are unusually free of dust.

Moving down the hallway you come to a central dungeon chamber. Four dark hallways exit from this large empty chamber, each striking out in one of the four directions of the compass, and each decorated with a soot-caked brass nameplate affixed to the ceiling just above the entrance. A rubble-choked stairway leads up in the middle of the room, while ten skeletons dressed in scorched prisoners' robes lie on the ground.

you notice scratches along the rubble and stone blocks, showing their futile attempts to dig out the deadfall from below.

She drew in a deep breath readying herself to charge into the skeletons when Rahela channeled her goddess energy and they collapsed.

Watching Rahela annhilate those undead skeletons so easily, Malakos is awed by the powerful magic granted to her by her God. "That was really something, even my most powerful spell right now couldn't have wiped out so many creatures at once,"

Looking around the paths available, not seeing anything to indicate what might lie down each hallway. "Let's head down the right hallway and work our around this place?"

If anyone has a stabilize cantrip or something similar it would be quite useful. Due to being at -12 I'm gonna need a nat 20 to stabilize myself
(only DC10 but I get a -10 to the roll...+2 from CON and -12 from HP = -10).

Watching in agony as the headless skeleton's axe bites deep in Sisu, dropping her to the floor in a bloody mess, Malakos's anger and fear rise.

"If we don't kill this thing soon we are all gonna die!" he says as the fear rises in his voice, a creeping panic starting to take over.

Flipping through his spellbook frantically for a spell, staring in horror as he realizes he fired both his magic missiles he had prepared for the day he draws on his innate arcane magic to fire a wimpy bolt of magic, the best that he can muster in this dark time.

His fear overcoming his nerves as he watched his new friend get cut down before his very eyes.

Red... everything became suddenly red. She roared in anger and fear... but mostly it was the anger that seemed to overwhelm everything else. With an almost feral roar she swung her Glaive-guisarme at the undead monster with all her might. Despite probably not realizing as to why she did it she advanced closer to the monster Screaming in anger the whole time.

Attacking, hoping hat hits, if not oh well. Chellian is moving directly across the path of the undead monster provoking an AoO if it can do that. Yes this is done intentionally, eating an AoO so someone can hopefully get to Sisu to either heal her or drag her away to heal her. Raging round 1/6

Sisu continues to quietly take a well deserved nap, but at least the pool of blood around her doesn't seem to be getting any bigger.

Things started to take a turn for the better after Chellian runs up screaming and lays waste into the flaming skeleton, reducing it to a smoldering pile of bones. Sisu's unconscious body gladly takes the healing channels from Rahela causing her blood to being to cauterize and the wounds to slowly start to heal.

WHEW! so scary...i WAS so worried i was going to kill you *yikes*

Looking around the room, you find nothing of note in this room.

Im going to "move" us to the next room U4, but we need to heal up Sisu :)

and to answer your questions from the discussion...you guys did find a "bloodstained handaxe" in the vault upstairs. you guys dont have any other info for it but i will tell you it acts as a +1 handaxe

The portcullis leading into the next room is raised. Several iron doors line the walls of this large, empty room. In the middle of the room, a hinged ten-foot-square metal grating lies over a dark pit in the floor. A thick rope has been tied to the grating and dangles into the pit below.

Looking around at the others, Malakos rushes forward to help save Sisu, fumbling as he draws out a potion of cure light wounds trying to remove the stopper.

The skeleton shattered she roared out again in frustration dropping her glaive and picking up the partial remains throwing them into the wall was all the force she could muster. She continued to lay waste to the bones until she noticed Sisu moving. With a moment of Clarity she looked about and sheepish dropped the grisly remains taking deep breaths and sort of wiping her hands off on the front of her pants sheepishly.

"Are... are you going to be okay?"

She asked Sisu picking up her glaive and almost pouting as her features went from the reddish flushed angry hue back to her normal fair features.

"I think I'm going to be just fine, thank you Chellian. Also thank you Malakos, but you can save those for when they are more needed. I can make a couple extracts that should help me, as long as you don't mind waiting a couple minutes."

Start at 4/25. Take a minute to make a CLW Extract: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Now at 14/25 hp. Take a minute to make a 2nd CLW Extract: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Now at 22/25. Probably just chill here for now and save my last 2 extract slots
