"Please remain still and calm. Or don't, either way we're going to probably put you full of holes before you can do the same to us with those teeth." Special Circumstances flicks his hand out towards the dragon, a sudden rush of gravity dragging it down. Then he scuttles off to the side with one hand desperately holding his hat on his head as the wireframe armor appears around his body.

The dragon needs to make a DC 15 Fort save or be unable to move from where it is. Standard to use Gravity Hold, Swift to attune to photon, and move to new location.

Majko moves forward, drawing a pile of junk from her pocket. As she does so, she whispers a magic word. A shock of electricity shoots from her hand, creating almost-magnetic bonds between the pieces of metal and plastic in her hands. Casting Junk Sword to create a Reach and Non-Lethal weapon. The formian sends a telepathic shout out to the dragon as she does so. "I come from the darkness of the hives. I don't fear the dark."

(Special Circumstances, first, the range of gravity hold is 30ft, same as psychokinetic hand. Second, your gravity hold can only immobolise when you are graviton attuned but you said you are going photon attuned. To keep the game going, will change it to a ready action, and that you are going graviton attuned.)

Before the dragon can react, however, the Starfinders lay their fire on it! Harec's first volley sends a dart of acid which smashes on a vulnerable spot and what's more adheres onto its shadowy skin. Zac quickly follows up with his hunting rifle as well but the dragon's tough hide deflects the bullet. Omzig attempts a daring bluff and the dragon almost turns (for some reason), but stops short when it realises the feint for what it is. It grins maniacally at the little skittermander, ready to retaliate only to be interrupted by Omzig's perfect shot landed. (DC can also be 15 + 1.5xCR, but you didn't need it anyway.) Sharmain follows up with three magical bolts that slam into the creature, but it does not seem to do as much damage as it normally would. (Perhaps Omzig did disrupt her mystical connections earlier.) Meanwhile, Majko and Special Circumstances move up, the former creating a magical weapon of her own, while the latter raises his hand, ready to work his gravitonic powers.

The shadow dragon roars partially in fury and partially in pain as the blob of acid keeps burning away. It bounds forward, ready to take to the air to close in on the Starfinders but the solarian quickly activates his power, pinning the dragon to the spot. It roars again in anger but this time, waking nightmares burst into your minds!

(Everyone will save DC12 or shaken for 1d4 rounds.)

Majko smirks as the dragon collapses under it's own weight. "Good work, Special. Keep it up." The formian moves forward and slaps at the dragon with her staff of junk parts. As she does so, she hesitates for a moment - reaching out with her senses. I don't see a scale-less spot. Perhaps Omzig can feel vibrations as well? She pauses and searches the beast for a weakness, causing her to miss the blow.

"You got it, bugsy girl!" Special continues to concentrate on the mystic an stellar forces he doesn't really understand, but is very aware can make down feel extra down. He even holds a hand out dramatically to help himself focus.

Everyone, please help me by specifying whether you're targeting EAC or KAC. Thanks!

Fear sweeps through the team, leaving half the team shaken. Omzig attempts yett another bluff at the dragon, who merely roars back, "My armored scale is in perfect condition!" Despite the failed feint, he still manages land a bullet through the supposedly tough scales. Both Sharmain, Harec and Zac, however, sends their shots into the ground instead. Majko fares no better, with her weapon bouncing of the dragon's armor. Special Circumstances tries to keep up the gravitational weight on the dragon, but with yet another roar is breaks free!

The dragon glares at him for the indignity. Ignoring Majko completely, it takes flight towards the rest of the Starfinders, landing in their midst. (Majko, it failed its tumbling so AoO please.) It then swivels its long neck around and chomps onto the solarian, puncturing deep through his armor! What's worse, he feels some shadowy essence pouring into him. (Will save DC12 or frightened.)

Feeling shaken from the ineffectiveness of his attack, Zac moves to better cover and takes a half hearted shot at the dragon.

Sharmain tries to rally, she steps out so she can focus on the dragon while she yet again reaches for the mystic energy of the stars. She channels that energy to send shooting stars of force heading toward the nightmare creature.

If she could stay against the wall and poke her head out to target the dragon she probably would, however, I think the rules insist you have to be standing with a line of sight to be effective? I am losing track of systems, does a five-foot step count as movement? If so, then only the first two shooting stars count.

Sharmain, yes, guarded step (Starfinder's 5-foot step) is a move action. However, from where Sharmain was, her top right corner has line of effect to the dragon so you didn't need to take the guarded step. (It also means you don't have complete cover from the dragon). Have moved you back.

Majko slams her weapon in the dragon's back as it passes but other than a slight twinge, it ignores the injury and continues on its attack on the solarian. Omzig calls out encourage to him, restoring him somewhat. Majko quickly closes in on the dragon but this time, her weapon glances off the dragon's armor.

As Zac retreats, the dragon sees an opening and swings around with its massive maw, chomping onto his shoulder. The ysoki similarly feels the mind-numbing poison flooding into him. The effect is so bad that he misses his shot completely. Not trusting her shaking hands, Sharmain returns to her magic and sends three shooting stars smashing across the dragon's head.

Harec knowing full well he has little chance in melee combat with a dragon attempts to withdraw and put some distance between himself and the dragon momentarily exposing himself as he turns his back on the creature.

GM Harec does a double move withdraw action but that won't prevent an AoO from the 2nd square I left...if Harec is still standing though he should escape further AoO's even if the creature has 10' reach (indeed if such an ability existed; I don't believe even combat reflexes, allows you to make multiple AoO's on the same individual for the same reason [ie. in this case exiting a threatened square])

"Oh! Hey! Watch the duds! You're not scaring me off! Check out this braverism!" Encouraged by Omzig's shouting, Special Circumstances takes a defensive step back and tries to put a shot right between the dragon's eyes.

Harec, it had already taken its AoO on Zac, and if I don't remember wrong Starfinders doesn't have combat reflexes. Still, as a ranged character, good idea to get away. :)

Finding himself trapped between the dragon and the cavern walls, Harec wisely elects to withdraw while its attention was on Zac. Special Circumstances shakes off the effect of the poison but his shaking hands still send h is rifle shot flying off onto the ground.

"You should flee while you have the chance. Or you will never truly escape this nightmare!" It swivels his head on its long neck and locks its eyes on Sharmain, obvious that it does not like the shooting stars thus far. It hops forward (guarded step) as its sinuous neck reaches around the wall and rips into her shoulder. It's her turn to feel the nightmare's poison! (will DC12 or frightened for 1d4 rounds)

Special Circumstances fires a pair of shots at the nightmare dragon as it chases Sharmain about the small space. "Hey, back off buddy. Pick on someone your own size!" He was clearly not its own size, being about as big as one of the thing's feet, but he thought it sounded cool.

Woah, you guys have really offended the dice god somehow... If it's any consolation, you quite close. There is a reason why it went after Sharmain...

Both Zac and Sharmain are overwhelmed by the nightmare poison, and turn tail to flee. The dragon sinks its teeth into Sharmain's back just before she gets out of range, negating Omzig's good efforts to restore some of her stamina, before withdrawing its long neck back through the door. The rest of the Starfinders attack, but all to no avail. Majko's weapon again fails to penetrate the dragon's hide. One of Harec's shot smashes against the door frame while the other flies past the dragon into the cavern walls, but like Special Circumstances' both shots.

Harec, because you are firing through the door, the dragon has cover, i.e. +4 AC

"No match for you, little vermin? We'll see!" The dragon draws to its full height then its head dives down at the formian, ripping into her in two quick attacks, rending exoskeleton and flesh. The wounds are terrible and Majko falls unconscious from the wounds.

gm couple of things the burn dmg should happen every round until the dragon does something to neutralize the poison also I just moved the angle I moved should afford the dragon no to little coverage (like shooting down a 5’ wide corridor also did sharmian get the same cover bonuses to her AC? In pathfinder standing at or around a corner affords a +4 to AC and no AoOs but don’t know about Starfinder

Harec, sorry forgot about the acid. The dragon takes another round of acid burn and is actually down by -39.
On cover, you can find the rules here. Your earlier square was a problem but this one is fine now. Yes, Sharmain also got the cover bonus to AC, but it hit anyway. Separately though, forgot about cover and AoO so no AoO on her when she fled.

Hmm, looks like dice gods still not appeased. Special C, you forgot to subtract 4 for the full attacks

While Sharmain and Zac flees past him, Harec repositions himself to get a clear shot, but this acid dart careems off the dragon's tough scales. Omzig keeps up his attempts to faint, but although they still fail to distract the dragon, his energy pistol punches into its shadowy substance much easier than Harec's darts. With Majko fallen to the ground, the dragon swivels it head to stare down Special Circumstances, who starts momentarily and misses both his shots.

The dragon ignores the little skittermander, leaping through the air to land beside the solarian. Its wide maw clamps down on the halfling but when it pulls back, Special Circumstances is none worse for the wear, as his gravitonic armor has repelled its teeth.

Realizing that careful aim or no Harec was unlikely to get lucky again like he did his first shot and find a soft spot in the dragon's hide...Harec lets loose with two rapid shots again and screams Why don't you just die!

Taking a quick inventory Harec realizes he only has three darts left in the magazine of his rifle..jamming his hand into the ammo pouch he only feels four more darts bumping around against each-other. damm might regret not picking up more ammo before I went on this mission! Harec slams one of the darts in the bottom tube slide of his rifle's magazine. better hope this ends soon or we're all going to be dragon food!

Harec only has 4 shots left in his rifle magazine and 3 left in his ammo pouch! I should have bought more ammo before I left but ..

Sharmain, finding herself surrounded by barriers excepting the way she entered, hunkers down facing the wall and prays to Desna for protection and courage. Her inner spirit tentatively reaches out trying to find her mystic connection to the stars. She whimpers softly as she realises she has abandoned her team.

I have Sharmain at 7 SP. Even though she did not experience the AoO, she still received the boost from Omzig.

"I don't think he's amendable to the suggest, Harec!" Special glances at the cowering members of the team and his downed new friend, then curses to himself. "Damnit. Get out of my face!" Despite exposing himself to a strike, he fires a shot from his blaster at point blank for the dragon's mouth.

The situation looks increasing hopeless. Two of the Starfinders are still overwhelmed by fear, dashing out of the mausoleum from their nightmares. Majko continues lying on the ground, right under the feet of the dragon. Harec and Omzig fires rapidly in desperation but their shots are badly aimed and fly helter-skelter. Similarly in desperation, knowing that his shot has to count now or the dragon would take him down next, Special Circumstances raises his rifle to fire. The dragon immediately swoop in and take a opportune bite into his shoulder. Gritting through the pain, the halfling fires at point blank straight into the nightmare beast's eye. Completely unarmored, the laser shot punches right through the head! The dragon rears up and screams in fury but the scream gradually softens as the living figment slowly dissipates into a cloud of dancing shadows until soon, there is no evidence of the dragon nor its scream left in the cavern.

Good job! Finally!

As the dragon fades, so too does the fear in Zac and Sharmain. With Majko finally returning to consciousness, although tottering on her feet, the Starfinders move up to the altar where they find three slots,
one for each part of the map. Wary of any other surprises, the Starfinders carefully insert the map pieces, whereupon the light of
the runes dims until dormant, and the force field around the central room drops. With their weapons held tight, the team make their way down the stairs to a vault where they find nothing more dangerous than various strangely shaped bottles and cryptic devices are stored on shelves: the Dreamer’s relics that they have come to retrieve!

With the relics retrieved, the Starfinders can make their way back to the ship. Almost as soon as the ship has taken flight, Venture-Captain Arvin contacts you directly. "A nightmare dragon? But it dissipated after you defeated it? I fear then what you encountered was merely the its nightmare projection into this plane, but even then, it is a formidable foe. Congratulations on banishing such a monster. Who knows what nefarious purpose it would have should it have gotten its claws on the Dreamers' relics, corrupting the dreams of such a delicate race. You look like you took quite a beating. Return swiftly, and you will receive the best care that can be provided by the Starfinder Society." When you show him the relics, he is extremely happy. "But if you are up to it, before heading to the hospital, I invite you to personally hand over the relics to Whisperer of Solar Winds. He would be most pleased. Exactly how these relics may prove beneficial to the Society is as of yet unknown, of course, but I, and the scholars of the Communion Vaults, await eagerly for whatever potent visions Whisperer of Solar Winds might bestow upon us in the future with the help of these relics. Well done!"
