Wrath of the Il-khanids: The Mongol Conquest of Khwarezmia (1220 - 1221 c.e.) (Inactive)

Game Master Sebecloki

The Mongol conquest of Khwarezmia from 1219 to 1221 marked the beginning of the Mongol conquest of the Islamic states. In the ensuing war, lasting less than two years, the Khwarezmid Empire was destroyed.

I hope to get my post up tomorrow. I was hoping to get them all done tonight my I'm too tired... T_T

Back from holiday now, haven't finished full build yet but will as we roleplay. I'm not great at coming up with names and wanted an appropriate historical name, so his name that he has given himself is supposed to mean Outcast or Exiled one. If anyone can give a more accurate suggestion feel free. Also i will choose a pic as soon as the website stops being broken.

What i envision for this character eventually is to return to Japan to conquer with Kublai Khan(unless this story deviates from the historical account) or even defend it from the invasions perhaps even being the one to invoke the Kamikaze/divine wind/typhoon that destroyed the mongols fleets.

So depending on how the character develops and opportunities and choices made he could go with or against Genghis eventually. Though he is neutral evil and mostly looks out for himself, seeks his own gain.

Of course his alignment won't affect his participation in the war campaign, just in the way he gets the job done.

I've had a cold, then an upper respiratory infection which... doesn't seem to want to die! My fever came back with a vengeance Saturday night. I spent all of Sunday in bed, and went to my doctor's today. They upped the antibiotics and gave my steroid and a cough syrup. However the cough syrup knocks me out, so my ability to reply in a timely manor will be effected... at least for a day or so till my new meds kick in.

Avatars are fixed, in case anyone didn't know that.

Also, I don't want to be alarmist, but be careful with that infection!

I work in the lab side of healthcare, so I'm getting updates on our emergency command team's response to COVID-19 every day now. Stay safe everyone!

Friends,

I have 2-3 new slots open in my Dark Sun-esque campaign -- Serinbaal the Lands of Torment. It began as a Dark Sun conversion of Legacy of Fire but has basically turned into a complicated homebrew setting and campaign over time. I can fill anyone in on details if they're interested, as there is a lot of plot (3,300+posts and counting).

Build rules are almost identical to this game.

How's everyone doing? Anyone else done with their characters yet? Let's try to get this rolling again?

I am back to the boards, trying to juggle being back here and working but I'm pretty much fully back. I need to find what I did with the papers that have Sechen's character sheet, but if I remember correctly she was pretty much done. I think I had just feats left to sort out...

I'm having a really busy time trying to deal with the end of my semester and COVID insanity at work (I work in a medical lab), but I'd like to get this back on track. Did everyone finish their characters yet? I'm ready to start introducing some action, but I can't do that until stats are finalized...

Seb, are you still accepting PCs for this? And are the restrictions on 3pp rules(PoW, Spheres, etc) still in place??

Yes, I'd love to have several additional players.

And yes, since we already have characters that were built w/ those restrictions, I think it's only fair we keep them.

EDIT: also, I just finished my last final for the semester yesterday, and I have about a week and a half of downtime now. One of my projects over that period is to get this game up and running and do some updating on the others.

No problem! Just wanted to ask. Legendary classes are available, right? And can we use 3pp mythic stuff, as long as they don't introduce new rules? Lost Spheres has a path I'm considering.

Yes, we're still using third party stuff, I actually found some more stupid overpowered feat material I'm going to link to, as well as synergy feats -- just not big subsystems like psionics, spheres, veil weaving, and spheres of power/might, and I guess I can tack on pact magic here too, though I don't know much about it.

Is Lost Spheres the stuff to do with the City of Seven Seraphs?

It's the company that published the setting, but they have a lot of non Cot7S stuff.

It's probably fine, what exactly do you want to use?

I had to totally redo Sechen. (Sorry it seems my phone didn't make the post go through, been having trouble with that.) Though it was my own fault. I was working on her feats and spilled my morning coffee all over it...

I'm about half way done with the crunch, I have tomorrow off so I should get further on it. There is just so much to redo! XD

But I am still here. My job is one of the necessary ones but it had been throttled by everything going on so there is no only me and one other worker there for our area. He takes the evening shift and I have the morning shift save for his two days off which I have the evening shift. I'm still able to post but it is mostly from my phone and at a much slower rate.

Glad you're still around -- I have one of those jobs too, and I've worked a ton of extra hours the last couple of weeks because of a certain invisible enemy.

Ah, bird of a feather.

Looking at the Master of Many Forms mythic path from Mythic Paths of the Lost Spheres.

Yeah, that's fine. As I said, the thing I want to limit is whole other subsystems that do things differently.
