Questions as I peruse your material....
How do cavaliers gain regency?
Can bards never gain full regency from a source? "Bards are found all around Cerilia. Bards receive 1/2 regency from their Guild holdings. The Bard class is detailed in the Core Rulebook. All bards can use the Masterpiece rules."
Would classes from the Advanced Class Guide just pick one of their derivatives for regency designation?

Actually, there's a couple of feats in which you can define your regency derivations. It still burns feat slots, but it's the best we have.
Cavaliers would initially be law, since they are of the AD&D Warrior Group.
The Advanced Class Guide isn't something I can get, except for the beta, and so it's up in the air for them.

So if it's ok to submit my idea here I go:
I am thinking about an Anuirean or a Brecht minor Noble that was tricked to take part in a fight against his family. He managed to hold his nobility rank but he left his home seeking revenge on the Noble that tricked him.
He fights with armor, shield and axe. With primary colors yellow and black, on a shield or on his coat of arms.
(I have a byzantine fighter as Icon something like this :

I submit Lorn, a Human Ranger (Spirit Ranger) from the Rjurik Highlands.
As a Ranger he earns full regency from law and 1/2 from trade.
Lorn is closely tied to the lands and his people. He is a traditionalist of his people's culture. He has studied history of both the people and the lands and this knowledge has created hatred for the spread of arcane magic and the goblin lands.
He intends to use this knowledge and hatred for his enemies to guide his people to a prosperous future.
