You will find the first one in a cubby like the previous one.

I'll repeat the process from the last one, the only thing I'll change is I'm going to focus so I can use a psychic strike on damage. Actually to add insult to injury I'll pop Precognition, Offensive, and Prescience, Offensive too.

Stealth 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (13) + 23 = 36

Attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19

Damage 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (5, 4) + 8 = 17

You end him in one hit. It will only take you a few minutes to find another one...

Do you want me to roll them all out? I'm going to continue the same as I'm currently doing.

Yes...if you dont end them quickly they can call out.

ok no problem, correct me if I'm wrong but focusing just requires a move action I can take between each kill, and charging my psychic strike is also only a move action, or a swift action if I expend my focus, so ultimately I can rinse/wash/repeat this attack pattern as long as I am killing them one at a time without using more power points.

Orc #3

survival for tracking 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

stealth 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (6) + 23 = 29

attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32

damage 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (4, 5) + 8 = 17

Orc #4

survival for tracking 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

stealth 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (4) + 23 = 27

attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31

damage 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (7, 4) + 8 = 19

Orc #5
survival for tracking 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

stealth 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (14) + 23 = 37

attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

damage 2d8 + 8 ⇒ (4, 8) + 8 = 20

If I don't kill in the first shot, I'll hit them again.

You hit and end each of them. Orc number 5 was actually roaming between cubbys it seems...and that's where you found him.

I'll do a thorough search to see if I missed any, if I didn't I'll come back to the "ogre", but I'll dismiss my hammer before I do that.

survival for tracking 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

When you come back he's still sitting there.
"Ahh done are we?"

I'll nod, "Now where is this orc that stylizes himself a chief?"

"He, I would imagine, is somewhere south of here trying to be chiefy. Help me move this log..."
After you move the log, he claps the dust off of his hands and changes shape...
Into a medium sized insect looking creature. He bows, and says "I can see you are awed by my mere appearance. I am Cabados."

After spending months with Zon in his natural form nothing really surprises me anymore, I'll smirk and return the bow, but my tone is friendly, "Well met Cabados, I am Bergar." and I'll also drop the disguise, returning to my dwarven form.

He doesn't look like Zon by any stretch. He looks like a cross between a mantis and a beetle...he has only 2 normal arms and legs, but he has 2 limbs on his upper body that end in a single pointed striker. His face is insect like with shades of huimanoid, although his mouth opens from side to side, revealing a somewhat normal jaw with rows of tiny sharp teeth.

"Well met Bergar. Lets head into the swamp then..."

You head over the crags and into the hills for a day or so before you end up back in the swamp, so far seeing no sign of any orc encampment.

I'll travel with him but I'm not letting my guard down either, "How far is the orc encampment?" I keep my head on a swivel, always looking for potential hostiles, potential ambushes.

I was just saying that after Zon, this guy's not going to shake me up at all

"I don't know. It moves around. I'd imagine we'll find him sooner or later..."

I'll nod, not pleased by this development, but I'll keep searching for any signs of orcs, passed movements, campsites, anything that might tell us we're on the right track.

Survival for tracking 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

About a day later you'll come accross obvious tracks of a large group of orcs, no more than a few days old.

I'll point them out, "Looks like we're in luck, a large orc party passed through here no more than a few days ago." and I'll change direction to follow their path.

2000 xp for those orcs btw

You'll come across a hastily made camp, with a large obnoxious tent in the middle of it. It has the banner of a clawed hand holding an axe.
"That's him." Cabados whispers.

I'll nod, looking for sentries, also checking to see what time of day it is, "Do you think you can draw the main force off?"

I'm looking for anything that might make me suspicious of the validity of this situation. I already know this guy's good with transmutation.

If you question his motives, Sense Motive.

He'll laugh. "I can't get that big. I could change back into the Ogre, take you in like a prisoner, and the nstrike from within. He'd probably go down quickly...then theres all the other orcs..."

Sense Motive 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

I'll nod, "That sounds like an excellent plan."

"You're serious? Well, ok..." and he shifts into an ogre.
"Heer, you put deese on." He hands you a pair of manacles.
"You don hasta lock em, o course."

I'll use my cloak to disguise myself to look like a more typical dwarf, beard wild, hair uncombed, I'll make my clothes look a wreck and put blood stains on them, and give myself a black eye from an ogre sized fist.

"how do I look?" as I slip the manacles on without locking them.

"It looks gorgeous. You ready?"

I'll nod, "Lets do it."

I'll let him lead the way in, I'm watching the orcs reaction as we come into camp. Does it fit with how orcs usually behave? And of course I have my focus up.

sense motive 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

You walk in front of him, and as you get closer he pushes you a couple of times saying "Git!" for effect. There are two orcs at a the opening to a makeshift palisade, who call out challenges in orcish. He responds and they look at you while he's talking. It doesn't look like one of them is buying it, when Cabados snatches him up by his neck and growls something in his face, showing teeth. He nods and says something in a pleading voice, the other orc has already moved to the side to let you pass. You make your way through the camp, Cabados kicks you a couple times for effect earning mocking calls from the orcs. You come to a large tent with one orc guard. He challenges Cabados and they have a brief exchange. This orc is larger than the others by a few inches and he looks you up and down, and questions the ogre. After Cabados' reply, he nods and goes into the tent. While he's gone, Cabados grabs fistfuls of your robe and growls and lifts you to his face. He whispers "I told them you killed the orcs sent with me, and I came to get more, bringing you back as proof. I also asked for part of my pay. They seem more concerned about the money" and he winks, setting you back down. After a few moments the orc comes back and ushers you in.
You walk into the small foyer of the tent and there are 6 orcs and the chief sitting at a table eating the choice bits of a croc with some trimmings. The tent is barely big enough for the table, and you see personal effects bundles up along the back wall. The chief looks up with his face full, and says something in orcish that orcs all laugh at and Cabados chuckles. He says something calmly to the orc chief and the entire tent goes deadly quiet. The orc chief spits out his food, and marches over the table to stand in front of you. In breoken dwarven he says "You kill five of my orcs? I'll have you torn into five peices..."

I'll wince as he speaks and switch to dwarven also, "I've seen you before, you raided Hedia, yes?!"

"Proudly."

I'll activate precognition, offensive and prescience, offensive...

still in dwarf, "Well that does it then."

I'll manifest my mindblade as a hammer, let the manicals fall off, drop the illusion from my cloak, and smash the orc chief in the face, using psychic strike and my hammer blow at the same time.

attack 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30

Expend focus, 4 power points spent (1 extra round 2 extra damage)
damage 4d8 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2, 8, 7) + 6 = 26

Manifesting a power illicits attacks of opportunity, just like casting does. Unless you have quicken power, silent power, or the like he will know you're manifesting, even self buffs. You should erad the entry on these powers to see what the effect is. You can avoid the attacks of opportunity my manifesting defensively (like casting defensively) but that will immediately begin combat. I'll give you a chance to change your mind or re-think your actions here...

I'll drop the precognition, offensive and prescience, offensive, but keep the rest since it's all only one action; The problem is every time I load up the PDF I have to restart my computer afterwords as it eats up far more resources than adobe normally should for some reason.

I'll manifest my mindblade as a hammer, let the manicals fall off, drop the illusion from my cloak, and smash the orc chief in the face, using psychic strike and my hammer blow at the same time.

attack 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14

Expend focus, 4 power points spent (1 extra round 2 extra damage)
damage 4d8 + 6 ⇒ (7, 7, 4, 4) + 6 = 28

since it starts combat, my initiative 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

I'll take the hit n damage from the first post
He reels as you land a very solid blow. The other orcs scramble looking for weapons.

I'm going to hit him again, I charged the weapon for two strikes with hammer, I'll burn another power point for another psychic strike also!

"That one's for my wife!"

attack 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14

damage 4d8 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2, 7, 1) + 6 = 18

"And that one's for my children!"

You finish him off, and the rest of the orcs present for fighting...

and we'll stop here, as my game is starting :P

I'll pick the nearest target and smash! I'm out for blood, but I'm conserving my power points for a real need now.

attack 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24

damage 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

You clobber one, but he's not down.
Cabados manifests a mindblade, and loses his ogre form.
He picks his closest target and attacks...he attqacks with a series of rapid strikes...and drops one.
The 4 remaining split off...
2 on you
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

both miss...

I'll target the one I hit already, assuming he's still on me.

attack 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

damage 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Well, he was, that blow drops him...
Cabados attacks another one...with one hit, injuring but not dropping him.
The one left on him attacks and misses, while the one on you...
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
hits for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

"Fool orc!"

I'll spend a power point to use psychic strike.

attack 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16

damage 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10

A solid hit, but not enough to put him down.
Cabados unleashes another flurry of hits with his mindbalde, droping his orc.
Yours takes another swing...
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
and hits again! for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 and grins.

I look around at the carnage and take a perverse satisfaction on their deaths, "Look around and see if there's anything of worth." and I'll begin to do the same thing.

I don't care about money, I'm looking for information about his plans, if he's working for anyone, what his next target was, if there was any other major targets he's hit, things like that.

perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

LOL re-read my post...

grrr I thought you were just handling my attack for me, I don't know why that doesn't make any sense at all!

I kill the bastard! Hammer and Psychic strike both!

attack 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21

damage 3d8 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6, 7) + 6 = 25

once he's dead, then I follow the steps in the above post!

He falls...
As you begin to look around, Cabados quips "You may wish to do that later..." as orcs begin to enter the tent...

As I turn towards the orcs entering the tent I'll use Body Adjustment to heal myself, then prepare for combat.

body adjustment 1d12 ⇒ 4

Since you so quickly dealt with the honor guard, the grunts won't be much of a problem for the two of you. You'll soundly defeat another 8 to 10 apiece, the challenge being not letting any of them escape. We'll say you got another 10 points of damage all in all by the time that battle is over. Cabados looks a little banged up, but ok.
3.5k xp for the guards and chief, 1350 for the rabble.
After the carnage is over...the only stuff you'll find is the personal effects of probably the chief packed and stuck against the back wall to make room for the table. The only thing regarding this road closure you'll find a decent quality map of the area, with all avenues in or out of it marked.
It looks like he was focusing on closing off access to Hedia, perhaps.
You'll also find a hastily drawn reciprt of sorts for "dwarfen merchandise". This may have done for an orc, but you can tell it was just drawn up on the spot...
You'll find a masterwork great axe, and about 250 gold in a small coffer.

I'll focus, then use body adjustment, rinse/wash/repeat until I'm healed. Then collect up the stuff.

"You want this weapon or gold? Where are you going from here?"

Do I keep my original xp at 2335 or was it increased to the minimum for lvl 4? The difference is 9185 or 15850, the second option will put me at lvl 5

"You helped me out, I will help you out. I don't care much where my travels take me. My people don't exactly put up roots anywhere. I suppose I'll take half the gold, and half the share of the axe, unless you want it."

Take option 2 on the XP...

I shake my head, "No I've no need of an axe," and I'll hand him half the gold now, "Soon as we get to the city we can sell it. Anything else you think we should do here?"

Assuming he says no, we'll start back to the road. I'll fill him in fully on what I know of my children, who we're going to see and what I hope to find.
