Bitey can tell that there was something here but there is a strong smell of sulphur and brimstone which has overwhelmed the scent, it seems to be in this one location and does not move

Atajay, you notice that the leather strip is coloured with a red pigment and from the colour and smell you think that it has come from a tannery. Asking around you find that the most famous tannery in the immediate area is a business known as Salir's Fine Leathers.
