well that's rather odd' seeing the odd uncovered patch if ground Seamus dismounts, tying the mare to a tree he carefully approaches the area along side Paletress "I don't know a lot about the woods but that doesn't look normal. As they get nearer Seamus takes a careful look around. I wonder if this is where that hunter put his traps'
'maybe I should have stayed near the horses, don't know that a rapier is the right tool for cutting down a tree' Seamus, as he is drawing his rapier, approaches the nearest tree, assuming it will be the east one And taking a proper dueling stance thrusts at the moving tree. Touché

Paletress, the Laughing Blade
Paletress, battered and severely bloodied by the earlier strike, nonetheless deflects both subsequent blows while pulling her sword and shield while excessively hoping the horse stays still. Terrified laughter erupts from her as she brings her sword down on the enemy to her left, murder in her eyes.

It seems like everyone is waiting on Sparhawk to show up on the thread. In the meanwhile, I will also enter my character's action during this round. Unless Sparhawk does something absolutely crazy and destroy the tree next to Beollimandus. Then the only addition will be to command his horse to move within striking distance of the next closest enemy tree.
Beollimandus will heed his horse to stay in position while he swings his greatsword at the tree right next to him.
MELEE ATTACK: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 GREATSWORD DAMAGE: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 5) + 3 = 10
"Someone help Paletress in the front - she is flanked by two of these monstrosities!"
brvheart
Broken was too far back to cure Paletress this round. Only Paletress hit, but she needs to make a DC 13 reflex save. It is a DC 20 ride check to control your mount Paletress.
brvheart
Sparhawk will advance on horse next to Brocken and dismount. Seamus is up.
Paletress, the Laughing Blade
Not really trying to control the horse. Pathfinder rules are kinda vague about what it takes to just let it sit there. Ordering it to attack with its own abilities and such takes the dc 20, but no mention whatsoever regarding a 'sit like a lump' maneuver. Paletress is panicking too much for her to think about much else...
Reflex save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Really confuzzled ride check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
If the horse rears and throws her, that's pretty much gonna be what happens.
brvheart
The horses are untrained so you have to keep it from panicking in combat, ie control the horse. You are now prone and the horse has bolted.
Control Mount in Battle: As a move action, you can attempt to control a light horse, pony, heavy horse, or other mount not trained for combat riding while in battle. If you fail the Ride check, you can do nothing else in that round. You do not need to roll for horses or ponies trained for combat.
Sparhawk.
Greg moved sparhawk good. Sorry, I got tracheal bronchitis two or three days ago and am not doing great. Some codeine cough syrup and it knocks me out.bot me if I am too slow
Seamus Passeri
hope the dkkp the horses under control, maybe I should have offered to hold them? Seamus 5 ft steps behind the tree that he had attacked, while now attempting a flanking maneuver he thrust at the tree again.
attack: rapier, sneak attack attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 2 = 23 for damage: 1d4 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 2 + (2) = 8

You shouldn't have, but I am allowing it. Damage is done, then you fall prone.

I am going to pronounce my second round since Sparhawk's player is sick (get well soon, buddy) and may need to bot.
As a swift action, I will 'challenge' the tree that I am flanking.
As a standard action, I will attack the challenged tree with my greatsword.
MELEE ATTACK: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 14 GREATSWORD DAMAGE: 2d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6, 2) + 3 + 1 = 12.
I will continue to order my steed to stay in position to take advantage of the flanking position.
"Paletress needs help! Someone should aid her in attacking the back-most tree."
brvheart
Sparhawk is too close for the glaive so he will pull his MW Longsword, sword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Paletress, the Laughing Blade
Paletress goes full defensive and stands up.
Reeling from being thrown by the horse she shall henceforth name Skitters, Paletress throws her shield arm up in a defensive posture and squeals with terrified laughter as she works her way to a standing position.
"HA HA HALP HA"
Sparhawk.
Thanks DM. I would also use a swift action to imbue weapon as magical +1 for 1 minute and try to flank if possible. Woke up from my codine stupor to check game lol. Back to bed for me. Thanks B will be better by Monday for sure.
brvheart
Hope you feel better soon! When I grew up my coughs were so bad I was getting cough syrup w. codeine when I was 2. We used to get it over the counter at the pharmacy so now I am highly resistant to it and most pain killers.
Ok, due to the creatures clearing the snow, I will allow the 5' step.
brvheart
Sparhawk kills the tree he hit. Paletress is subject to an AOO for standing up.
slam: 1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 3 - 1 = 8 damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7 plus sticky resin
brvheart
Looks like we are waiting on Brocken. Autumn downed another Fir. One left.

Paletress is healed for 5 pts.

Again, I am going to assume our friend is not going to be able to run his character tonight, so I'm going to speak for my character's action prior to his turn with the assumption that the DM will be botting Sparhawk.
As a swift action, the challenge is "removed" from combat.
Beollimandus will command his horse, Arri, to move left and forward so they can approach the last tree (I can't move the horse token but was able to move my character's token to represent where I want my horse to go with him) as a move action.
The Cavalier will then swing his greatsword at the tree.
MELEE ATTACK: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 GREATSWORD DAMAGE: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 5) + 3 = 11.
"Beollimandus has come to aid you, Paletress!"
brvheart
I am making all horses controlled by all characters. That is a miss btw.
Paletress, the Laughing Blade
"THOSE TREES HIT ME ON PURPOSE!" Paletress shrieks, punctuating her statement while hacking at the body of the remaining tree, stopping her wild-eyed tantrum only after running out of breath. Pointing towards the bolted horse while gasping for breath, she continues: "Ha... ha... And Skitters over there is a real jerk! Ha... ha..."
After several more gasps she turns to the cavalier and blows an errant strand of near-white hair out of her face sulkily. "Heh... A little more of that last bit of healing should fix me up I think. Heh heh. Nothing broken far as I know. Heh."
Seamus Passeri
'why are the trees attacking us? Is it the fey or some other threason?' While Paletress rants about the trees and horses, Seamus looks around the now-kindling looking for anything of relevance.
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Afterwards he goes and pats the sorrel mare, rubbing her neck. "Good girl, you should do fine as long as I don't expect too much from you right!" mounting up he prepares to follow the team as they cross the valley, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious.
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
