Also, that last post from you, Xz, made me laugh. :)

nice.

King of Talingarde

I had Thorn do my PM and explain that Talingarde wouldn't fall due to idle hands. Then the normal 'hey, you there, everything okay' message (though not those words).

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

Hope everything is ok with him.

King of Talingarde

Sorry for brevity of post, just trying to get games updated before sleep claims me for the evening.

Hey, i'm seeign that we can now post a spoiler in our 'race' input box on our character sheets, so it stays on every post. You want us to use that? Or would you prefer we post an individual "status" spoiler in the post itself. The difference being that if you went back to review a combat or a previous round, the status would be incorrect for that moment in he combat if we had it in the "race" box.

Let me know.

Also, you ever get any word from Fargo?

King of Talingarde

For me, having it in the post is nice because I know I sometimes forget to update status and have to go back through posts to update appropriately (hey, I'm human too!)

So I think I'd prefer it in the post. That said, it is nice having AC and Saves in the race box to find them easy.

Also no word from Fargo as of yet. I'm actually avoiding holding up combat on him at this point and if I haven't heard from him by the time this fight ends, have already worked out a way to temporarily remove him in case he comes back.

Cool. Updated that last post to include the status as a spoiler. I'm fine doing it that way (it's the way 've been doing it, anyway).

And I think your approach to Fargo's absence is a good call. He's been gone for quite a while with some serious radio silence.

Percep +4. Init +8 -- Hp 50/50. AC 18, t12, ff16. Fort+4, Ref+4, Will+6

Gillman (from Advanced Race Guide) if you're okay with using that from that book, Mark. (link)

Otherwise, there are a few bestiary options for gaining a swim speed as well.

King of Talingarde

I'll allow Gillman.

Update incoming.

King of Talingarde

Wow, Xmas is over! Gotta say this has been a draining one for me. Hope everyone had a good holiday season (for those who celebrate).

Looking over my PBPs this morning (well, evening now), I realize it's been a bigger interruption than I thought it would be. So going through and apologizing to all my games for the somewhat unexplained absence and getting updates in as applicable.

Going to see where we're at and update.

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

Hope everyone had a good holiday. Looking forward to getting this moving again.

King of Talingarde

Awaiting on Gwyn and Kalina for the current round at this point. If everyone's fine with it, I'll wait until tomorrow night to move along if we don' hear from them. Trying to not be pushy what with the holidays and all (and my own lateness from it, lol).

I'm fine with that. I won't be back into a normal routine until the 2nd.

I would like to get this game moving again. We kind of started to stall even before the holidays.

Percep +4. Init +8 -- Hp 50/50. AC 18, t12, ff16. Fort+4, Ref+4, Will+6

Fine by me.

HP: 38/38 AC 22/14/18: F+6, R +4, W+1*, Per:0, Init: +11

Howdy - on travel, please play me out as needed. Back late this week...

Alright, TEAM EVIL! LET'S ROLL!

Percep +4. Init +8 -- Hp 50/50. AC 18, t12, ff16. Fort+4, Ref+4, Will+6

I can heal Odenkirk next round if necessary. Does he appear badly wounded?

He's been hit once or twice before, and he just received "severe damage which the man grits his teeth and ignores". I'm guessing it's something we should attend do. :)

If you'd prefer, Cain can drop his bow and take Odenkirk's place at the rope.

King of Talingarde

At this point, without making a heal check, he's below half health.

Percep +4. Init +8 -- Hp 50/50. AC 18, t12, ff16. Fort+4, Ref+4, Will+6

Healing works for me then. Jumping in the water to get at TN can stay a backup plan as I'm a bit leery of making myself the sole melee target for all the enemies that just gathered around him. It would work out better if bringing him to us succeeds.

Agreed. I'll keep plinking away until they're in range as well.

King of Talingarde

Just wondering if someone updated Odenkirk's HP? For some reason I thought he was at 34 damage before.

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

Not me!

I don't touch NPC stuff. I only modify Cain's stuff.

... or, more succinctly... not me! :)

Percep +4. Init +8 -- Hp 50/50. AC 18, t12, ff16. Fort+4, Ref+4, Will+6

how would I do that?

(not I)

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

Eventually I plan on "modifying his hit points", but I haven't done it yet.

Is that some weird euphemism?

Eew.

:P

On this note, it might be neat to get back into a rhythm of a combat round every day or two (if that works for you Mark).

Here! Here!

King of Talingarde

Lunch Break Post!

Posting will be more consistent,at least on my end. My holiday busy-ness started well before the holidays sadly. I thought I was doing a well enough job keeping up but going back it seems my perception was greater than my action.

On this topic though, another item for me to let you all know. Starting the 13th, I'll be in a new position which will involve a significant amount of traveling, approximately 2 weeks gone, 2 weeks home alternating. I'll be getting a laptop to help me keep up with things while on the road.

During the time I'm gone though it will be longer days than what I do now, along with the expectation that I socialize with the team I'll be working with and handling problems that arise. The short of it, meaning I'll be adjusting to a new schedule.

This means two things. One, I'll be looking at the games I'm in and may end up cutting a couple of them (I have them in mind, but the WotWs aren't on that list).

The other is that I'll be enacting a more rigid schedule for myself in my remaining games, which means expecting posts from me should actually become a little less guesswork as to when.

So a question. Will everyone be okay with a 24 hour combat post limit (weekends excluded), the updates probably being around 8-9pm of whatever American time zone I'll be in that week?

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

That sounds fine to me.

Congrats on the new job. Traveling for work is usually pretty rewarding.

HP 21 | AC/T/FF 14/12/12 | CMD 17 | F+3 / R+3 / W+8 | Init +6; PER +10 | Image

No problems here. Also, if my game is one of the ones you are thinking about eliminating from your commitments - I won't take that personally. It will suck to lose Ez from the mix but we all have different limits on the numbers of games we can run/play. If you are maxed out, you are maxed out. I know I can't run more than one PbP game at a time... so I don't even try no matter how I tempted I get.

Percep +4. Init +8 -- Hp 50/50. AC 18, t12, ff16. Fort+4, Ref+4, Will+6

I hope the work goes well!

Sounds like a good plan.

Cool. Hope you like the new gig. And hope you enjoy the travel (its never been my cup of tea).

And once per 24hr is good with me. :)

King of Talingarde

Need Xanos for Round 10. Going to wait for him this round then will start the enforcement next round, to at least get everyone's input first.

I'll post for Kalina as Kalina stated absence. Haven't heard from Gwyn for awhile, nor Fargo.

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

Super busy for the next week. I'll be able to post but I'm not sure when.

For now, Xanos delays his action. Slave savagely beats a netted fish man.

HP: 38/38 AC 22/14/18: F+6, R +4, W+1*, Per:0, Init: +11

Gratz mate. I had my fill of business travel this summer, but I hope you get off to some interesting locales...

For future reference, please don't ever allow any delay on my part the hold up the game. Jakes will tend to do nothing much fancy - basically hit the nearest good guy as hard as she can... I'm sure the game can survive a round or two without her witty repartee. ;-)

King of Talingarde

Thank you for the well wishes everyone!

Out of curiousity, normally for AoE spells I've seen one damage roll for them. Was curious Xanos why you did multiple rolls for the Stone Call? Mostly asking for consistency.

And also, I'm going to send out another PM to Fargo, but if I don't hear from him by tomorrow night this time, I'll enact about removing him. I already know how I'll do it, and the timing works out good. Plus with my method I can work him back in again.

Going to send out a PM to Gwyn as well.

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

I can do it however you'd like. I've always rolled individually because I assume spells effect everyone differently.

In a Tabletop game most people seem to roll one load of dice for the sake of speed, but in a PbP it's really only my time being eaten up.

I'll do it as one roll from now on if you want though.

King of Talingarde

Hmm, what does everyone else think about the matter? I'm fine with either option truth be told, but just want to make sure whatever option is used is consistent in the game.

EDIT: And as always, please PM me if you wish to remain anonymous.

On a cursory look, i didn't see anything that specifically speaks to this question.

Here's my 2c, though. It's one spell with one(or in some cases a few different) AoE effect. That seems to suggest to me that there should be one damage roll applied to every potential target. The only difference i can see in how it should affect targets hinges on how well they react to the threat (their own saving throw).

All i can tell that multiple damage rolls does is normalize the damage if the spell... which I'm not sure was their intention.

Male Half Elf (AC: 15|11|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3| Wil:+5- Per:+2Init:+3)

Hey guys. I am alive. A combination of factors came together at once and caused me to forget to post or even check the site for the last couple of months. These include the crazyness of the holidays, a crazy work schedual, confronting the decision to move, and having to take time off from my weekly RL pathfinder game (I think that not thinking about pathfinder enough made me forget about pathfinder).

First I would like to apologize. It is not cool to disapear with no word. I realized sometime after Thanksgiving tyhat I had not checked the site in a while, but never had the motivation to do anything about it while near my computer and my phone is not working well enough to check or post from.

Secondly, if none of the cast has any objections, I would be very gratefull for the oportunity to rejoin the villians. Things a settling down in a lot of ways. The holidays are over, and my move will becomplete by the end of the month. It is still a little crazy, so the soonest I can be uptodate on all the posts and post something of my own would be on Thursday. At this I just got home from work. I am going to bed now, then when I wake up I am going back to work. After work I come home, clean up, drive an hour to an interview then aftewards unload a car load of boxes, then drive an hour home and try an squeeze in some sleep before work on Tuesday night. By Thursday, I can post. If anyone does not think it is apropiate for me to return, that is ok. I understand. If you would like, just let king mark know and he can let me know. Either way, I will be catching up with things.

Hope to rejoin you in a couple of days
Fargo.

Good to see you are still alive and kicking Fargo!

King Markadian V wrote:

I have no very strong opinion. Either one is fine with me as well :P

Welcome back, Fargo. Glad you're alright.

As for the AoE issue, I really am fine with either. Honestly, the only way i did it that way is because that's how I saw it done in other PbPs when I was learning this stuff. What ever way makes the least work for Mark is fine with me.

Yah, i've never really thought about it much. in this case, I don't think it would have really made much of a difference one way or the other.

HP 27/35, Temp HP 0, 3 str damage, AC: 11, Fort +02/ Ref +2 / Will +6, Perception:+5 Channel 8/8, Bolster 8/8, Infernal Healing 50/50, Command Undead 50/50. Active Effects: Fox's Cunning

As a note, all my crankiness is in character only. Here in this thread, we're still buds.

Well, I certainly hope I'm not frustrating you as a player; it's certainly not my intention. If that is ever the case, anyone should feel free to call me on it (either here or directly through PM if you'd prefer).

Male Half Elf (AC: 15|11|14 - For:+4 | Rex:+3| Wil:+5- Per:+2Init:+3)

Not quite up to date yet. Tuesdays interview went well, so I had an unexpected physical today. All the way there tomorrow, tonight is the beginning of three glorious days off. Only a week and a half left until I leave walmart behind.

King of Talingarde

Good to hear from you Fargo! I'll be posting tonight when I get home to advance the game. Let me know if you have any questions.

Good on ya, Fargo. Bigger and better things, I hope. :)
