One of the things you can do to something that's pinned is restrain them (usually done with rope or manacles. The bag was supposed to be an analogue to that. I suppose we could bind them with rope first (because it is mechanically viable), but the entire idea of tying up a snake with rope is rather silly.
In the real world the reason why a 22 foot python (mechanical strength somewhere around 30) can be easily transported in a bed sheet is because snakes are completely unable to exercise any sort of leverage against the bag. These are metal constructs, so it's different, but I can't imagine they're stronger or smarter than a real giant snake.
Cain...
I'm not saying it's not a good idea. But you said it yourself, do make-believe snake-like constructs act or think like real-life snakes?
Xzaral said he thinks its' a fun idea... we generally seem to agree... so let's just give it a try. :)
Worst thing that could happen is that it fails and we have regular combat. well, that and Teon eats an AoO or two. :D
Xanos
Xanos will shut the door after Cain fires. (recon the action to happen while he spoke)
that way we can prepare with less pressure.
Shulme, do you have Bull Strength prepared?
Shulme-Silule
Good point. Yea, it'll come after their turn. So I have Price and Your surprise actions, I will need Xanos, Teons and Shulmes, as well as Shulme's round 1 action.
As noted above, no actions for round 1 (or surprise round). As constructs they are immune to my ranged offensive spell (cause fear) and there is too much bigass ogre flesh in the way for me to reach them with the spear. I do have a light crossbow, but trying to hit through a bunch of people standing in the way and DR 5/- seems like just a waste of bolts.
Unless someone has an action to suggest...?

Well my suggestion, in character of course, would be to repent your wicked ways, set upon the path of goodness, and start smiting some evil. But hey, what do I know?

I'll move forward with everything when I get home. Too chaotic for me to focus here at present.

Okay! I'll follow your lead on that. Just as soon as you turn your back to face off with some smiteworthy evil, I'll be right behind you, I promise.
Xanos
Xanos doesn't think he's a hero. To the contrary, he doesn't believe in heroes, or even villains really. Just people, all of whom are varying degrees of trapped and deluded.
When you can see the cosmic ant farm and are able to see that everyone is just warring over who controls the tunnels, labels like good and evil start to lose their meaning.
Not that the other ants care much about what the crazy ant who can see his reflection in the glass thinks.

Just giving you a heads-up that at the end of this month (July 31), I'll be leaving town for two weeks for work. I don't know the status of an available internet connection while I'll be gone, or how much free time I'll have, but I'll post as able.
After that, I'll only be back for a day before heading to Gencon afterwards, getting back home late the 19th. So between those two dates I'll be sporadic at best, possibly unavailable. Sorry for any inconveniences this may impose.
King Markadian V
Thanks! This'll be my, let's see here, 9th Gencon I think? It's a great time, a bunch of my friends and I go. We had to skip one year for it though.
Also I didn't get the job in Texas, but that's where I'll be for those two weeks helping with the center opening. I had a good talk with our HR department about what I needed, and a little more exposure is on that list of things. So I might end up doing a few of these trips (anywhere from 2-5 weeks in duration) in the upcoming months.
I think I'll need to invest in a laptop again.
King Markadian V
Meh, was a little upset at first about it. The reasoning was that I didn't have quite enough experience yet (despite doing the job in the absence of my boss for something like year to year and a half, as well as having a less than effective boss, who was terminated, for a year as well). But as the conversation continued, I could tell it was one of those they had already given it to someone else, and just didn't want to go through the motions of the required three interviews.
So I listened to them for awhile and am planning out for the next one. Well the one after the next one (after Waco it's Vegas, and then another in Texas).

Ah, yeah. Having been on the other side of that - where I went through the interview process for an in-company transfer job only to find out that the hiring manager already had a friend in mind for the job and my interviews were to meet the 'legal requirements' - I can say I was pissed that they wasted my time. If they had a favorite in mind, hire them. Don't make me jump through hoops.

Who are we waiting for.
*sniffle* "And I thought a team of evil-doers and ne'r-do-wells loved having a person with charm, wit, and fast picks. Oh, how you've broken my heart!" *sob* "Now, I'll never know happiness in evil."
The slight woman covers her face as as she quietly sobs for a moment. A sniffle is muffled by her hand wiping away the tears as she finishes crying.
"I guess I'll take this to remember all the good times we had."
She pulls an oddly familiar belt from behind her back. Poor Fargo has just enough time to recognize it before things get drafty and everyone knows the color and kind of underwear the summoner wears. Gwyn just smiles back
All in good fun, all in good fun.

I think it's written into the summoner crunch that GWyn's character specifically ignores all of Teon's defenses... it's somewhere near the back. :)
Okay, im' caughtup in th thread, but am a little unsure of how to continue. With two snakes bagged, does Cain need to do anything to begin the third attempt?
Also, welcome back, GWYN!

Yep, in the 4pt font along the bottom of the page talking about spell slots and fluffy bunnies. :D

Aw, thank you. I'm glad you're back too! Here, have a souvenir.

Hello Gwyn, welcome back.
Thanks! This is one of my favorite games so far and I look forward to getting back into one of the most characters to write.
P.S. Just a heads up, I'm going to be gone most of tomorrow, so no posting until late tomorrow night.

When you find a good joke, you take it, run with it, hammer it into everyone's heads, make them remember it, know it, love it, embrace it, tire of it, then you build the hate. That way I eventually stop using it, only to bring it up as a memory, because you'll always remember the hate!
Or it'll just become annoying >8 )

I'm back. Trip took longer than I thought it would due to a really bad wreck on US 80. Two west-bound cars lost control and swerved onto the east-bound lane. It looks like both vehicles rolled and one of them was rally bad and it's likely that the driver in that one died. An officer came and told us that they were trying to get traffic flowing again and that this was the worst accident he had seen in a long time. When my mother asked him if anyone had died, he said, "We are still trying to determine that."
The scary thing is that could have been my mother, my sister, and I if we had been two or three minutes quicker on the road to see some family in Georgia. Please keep the families of those involved in your prayers. If you don't believe in God, then just keep them in your thoughts. Death is not an easy thing to deal with. It doesn't get any easier the more you experience. I know there are people in Denver morning right now, and I will keep them in my prayers as well, but I thought that you should know that I am okay and that my family and I are safe.
