Fun fact, John 6:34 is right in the middle of one of Jesus's first scuffles with the religions establishment.

Huh, I just found out a quite interesting piece of information under the 'Dodge' skill description.
You actually get a boni to dodge an attack if you have cover against the attack.
Here's the extract (page 121):
'Example Modifiers:
+20 - Character has full cover between him and the attack
+10 - Character has partial cover between him and the attack'

The +10 is the most interesting thing which you probably want to keep in mind, since this will always apply when you are firing from cover.
The +20 thing, is for those cowards of you, who are behind cover without firing back at the enemy.

Oh Bolus. You really need to meet a certain Ogryn. :)

Hah that would be something!

Any thought given to changing the maps to google slides instead of docs? Google actually has a phone app for slides that makes editing on phone possible.

||Tactical-Map|| Shared notebook ||Strategic Map|| Imperial Attack Plan||

How's this, Bolus?
I was struggling with it due to constraint 'drawing' area (a thing I love digital drawing apps for, since I never know how big my stuff gets beforehand ...) but yeah, for the tac map it might work.
Hows everyone else?
Preferences?

Might want to check out roll20.net also. It is pretty powerful, has a built in grid, can do hexes, can change the size of the maps when you need to .. I use it for all of my PbP games and some of the TS3/Skype games I am in.

Roll20 is awful, as in practically unusable, for mobile.

I have posted on the map with a proposed chimera placement.

Male Tech-Priest Enginseer | Wounds: 6/14 | Armor rating: 6 (4 head) | Fate: 1/1 |

Ah, well that is true. It is not mobile friendly. I am pretty much never doing PbPs from my mobile devices so I never face that...

Yup was able to edit it via the Slides app.

There's really no perfect solution. Everything has its upsides and downsides.

I'm using Powerpoint online for my own games just because it's got the best mobile app (and I use it for fog of war purposes on prepublished maps) but even that's got problems.

Well since Bolus also spoke for a retcon I don't mind either way. Do we continue or do we go cave exploring?

I'm good with either. We're going to have to bring up the vehicles anyway so we have to clear out the orks in the canyon anyhow. Maybe after we're done with this bike scene we can go exploring?

||Tactical-Map|| Shared notebook ||Strategic Map|| Imperial Attack Plan||

We can do a retcon if you want.
Just give the word once you decided.

They may get suspicious if their bikes stop showing up every so often. Let's explore then conquer.

[ooc]tech use +20, Logic -10]
[dice=tech use vs 62]1d100 - 1 DoS
[dice=logic vs 32]1d100 - no dice

Note that you score a DoS for the initial success as well as for any raise by 10.

So on your roll of 47 against 62 you score 2 DoS.
- One for rolling below 62
- And another for rolling below 62-10=52

Male Tech-Priest Enginseer | Wounds: 6/14 | Armor rating: 6 (4 head) | Fate: 1/1 |

Ah. I have been shorting myself by one DoS on every roll because I misread that section.

||Tactical-Map|| Shared notebook ||Strategic Map|| Imperial Attack Plan||

Yeah, to be fair it is one of those minuscule changes from earlier iterations.
A good one, since it greatly eases the writing of combat rules (you just write: "1 hit/DoS" rather than "One hit if the roll succeeds and another hit per additional DoS".
I am still using the old system in my head, but adding a +1 in at the end ^^

Male Tech-Priest Enginseer | Wounds: 6/14 | Armor rating: 6 (4 head) | Fate: 1/1 |

I thought it was different. But I do not have my Deathwatch books with me to check.

It is different in Deathwatch.

Thats what GoW means with miniscule change - Only War introduced that way of counting DoS.

Hey folks, I have set up a shared Notebook (OneNote) here.
- You don't need an account or anything, just follow the link and that's it
- In case you can't edit at first, there's a 'Edit in Browser' button in the upper-right corner, then you can edit stuff
- You all have full edit rights so don't be a jerk and let your creativity break loose :-)
- It is heavily under construction, but it will grow over time
- Most important thing at the moment: Character Archive. This is where all your characters are stored. Feel free to add any non-mechanic stuff there and update your sheet upon spending xp or if you spot errors, out-of-date stuff or find ??? in any entry (that's where I couldn't find the respective info)
- The ruling section is my work in progress section, where I put in ideas for the upcoming changes, nothing final yet, so not yet interesting for you, unless for a sneak preview ;-)
- The rules Section feature a plain copy&paste from the stuff that is written in the various spoilers of the campaign tab. Will be expanded and better structured in the future.

Let me know if it works for everyone, please :-)

Human -2/12; WS 35;BS 27;S 34;T 32; Agi 31; Int 27; Per 26;WP 32; Fel 53; Fate 0/1; Insanity 17

Looks good to me. Easy to scan through on mobile as well.

||Tactical-Map|| Shared notebook ||Strategic Map|| Imperial Attack Plan||

If you want to and have a microsoft account (aka do-you-have-windows-10?) you can send me pm and I'll send you an invite.
Then you can edit&view from the various apps and pc incarnations, making it much more smooth + offline available.

||Tactical-Map|| Shared notebook ||Strategic Map|| Imperial Attack Plan||

Finally back home again.
I'd like to speed things up again.
Everyone alright?

What's the thoughts on the situation: More exploring of shooting&laughing Orks or attacking the known Bikkez-Camp?

Whatever the Orks are doing, it won't matter when the Rokk goes up. Let's go do that and get this thing moving forward again.

Male Tech-Priest Enginseer | Wounds: 6/14 | Armor rating: 6 (4 head) | Fate: 1/1 |

Well, we still need a second power tap. It seems potentially disastrous to start the shooting without we know where to tap in to the second power feed.

Also, how are we getting the forward group out of the canyon before the explosion, channeled by the canyon, kills them all? Or us?

Not knowing a second power node is the only reason we're dallying in that cave anyway. The thing is going through already cost us 1 man and its unlikely to bring us that much more info. Sensible thing to do is get on with it, secure the first node and if worse comes to worst start the distraction then do a mad dash for the forward power cables we saw on the map of the area.

What could we gain by going up there?
We could find out why orks are having fun - probably becaues the other group got fed up with lurking and started shooting like the madmen they are.
At BEST we find out they are currently engaged in fighting the worm things off themselves and we just need to wait for them to be done before we stroll in and mop up.
Worst things?
We walk into an ork 'circle of death' style fighting ring where they bash eachothers skulls in because of the lack of other targets. Guess what? They just found other targets
We walk there, stay stealthy and return - finding out the filthy worms followed us and now our way back is blocked. We die in a somewhat heroic last stand of which no one will ever know anything because even our remains have melted beyond recognition
Somewhat bad things?
We get up there, get noticed because a LARGE group of guardsmen is not the most stealthy thing in the world and start the action without the firing support of our 2 transports.

As for 'blocking the explosion in' - I'd prefer to do this from a side cave. The main canyon should funnel the explosion mostly past us. If we actually have to go in there then pray to the emperor the Rock does more of a giant BURP - killing everything inside it with the shockwave traveling along its internal corridors but staying strucurally intact. Maybe our rockslide distraction to that for some extra 'strctural integrity', you never know it MIGHT help.

My conclusion? Get the transports and do this like a soldier.

Nearly right.
Flat -10 once you have one level.
You're going K.O. once you collected more level than your TB.

Well we can't always have a melee monster with us. That's pretty much what space marines are for - mess you up from range and once you finally get into melee range they just grin and you find out it just got worse =3
Honestly thought this seems like a good fight for good ol' guardsmen. Those monsters don't seem too fast and remember even if you do not damage them as long as you get to over half their TB(after armor) you take away from their movement. So even with only lasguns we could probably hold them back until they die from rf overflow(does 1 damage flat if the shot does not do damage despite roling a 10, instead of doing crit damage tho) and we have hellguns, multi lasers, flamers and if everything fails a melta - who no one knows how to aim - with us.

Indeed. I'm not complaining. I'm just imagining a fight between thud and these monsters. It would likely draw the attention of the main ork camp with its violence!

Sounds fun. Not too healthy for Thudd but fun xP
Altho I think he would've had the most fun without the cyborg monsters - just strolling over to the headbuting orks and litteraly buting in, showing them who's boss =3

The first Ogryn with a personal Ork entourage?

A bit problematic, if Thud'dr still wants to become the first Eclissiarchy-approved Ogryn-Priest. They would probably think of you as a heretic if you arrive with a bunch of Orks scrubbing your shoes...
