Male Dwarf Warden/16

Barel will move slightly around to help surround the gargoyle (Move action to V19) and will attempt to help with the tying up. Just in case, he will keep the gargoyle marked.

EDIT: Barel need a save v ongoing from you please.

Barel joins the gift-wrapping party as Thom edges his way towards the next plinth.

The gargoyle remains stubbornly stony.

Off you go again. Post in any order, but Raya will delay until after Thom so she can aid him.

MAP

Arishat
Lanthair - Soul Dance (Stance, concealment and can teleport adjacent to enemy gaining CA on melee miss)
Lynore - to end enc attacks at +2 and can make melee attacks out of melee range
Barel - 10 ongoing (se)?
Raya 107/115hp, 1 surge
Thom
Gargoyle - one shroud; -2 attacks to end Arishat's next turn; marked by Barel; STONE FORM

RevDM, I saved versus ongoing in my last turn...with my font of life saving throw. See post: Friday 8:12.

But just in case I needed another: Save= (13)

Apologies - I missed that.

Male Halfling Monk 18 / Ghostwalker

Do you need rolls for those tying up the gargoyle? I imagine Lynore will be primary, with assists from others, but if you want to use my roll as the primary instead, we can. Thievery 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33.

How do we go about throwing it around?

Female Wood Elf Cleric / 3

Shroud 2 on Gargoyle
Move to Z24
Acrobatics 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22
Perception 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20 Looking for an exit

"You all look like you have him well in hand for now, I will start looking for an exit, since I seem to move around the room easier than most."

Thom steals an envious glance at Lynore, "Damn, some people are actually enjoying this..."

Move to Y6
Acrobatics 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

Wrapping the gargoyle in decorative ropework takes surprisingly little time.

Lynore darts lightly over the room leaving Thom shuffling enviously after her. Remembering Raya's earlier advice he arrives triumphantly beside his chosen plinth. Alas, neither he nor the assassin can spot anything untoward about either edifice.

Arishat looks at Thom as the gargoyle gets tied up. Pity it's not a female gargoyle. He'd know how to do that. "I wonder if we could push it across the edge of each wall... floor... whatever they are. That might make it fall. It nearly did me." Experimentally, Arishat puts her shoulder against the statue.

Athletics check, 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34
Bull Rush, 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
I'm not sure which type of roll is most relevant, or whether this qualifies as a Bull Rush with the gargoyle in this state.

Not sure myself. I think Athletics sounds more likely in this case. DC30 to shove it one square.

Arishat flexes some impressive muscles and shoves the gargoyle towards the next wall. Getting the idea, Raya tries to help and fails miserably as her residual cough continues to trouble her.

Athletics: 1d20+10=14. Was aiming for an aid, but failed at that.

Realised it may not be clear Barel needs to post an action. An enduring problem with semi-freeform turns.

Rev DM wrote:

Unfortunately that has been a problem recently in general (sorry)...and will be a problem tomorrow for our Turkey Day Celebration over here. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Barel eyes the thing suspiciously, and continues to move with it. Barel calls out to it occassionally, to make sure he has its stony-faced attention, and tries his best to prepare to smack the fowl thing (I know not everything with wings is a bird, but...) if and when it becomes less of a hard-case.

Mark the Gargoyle.
Also, can I move with it anytime it is moved and still have a readied action to trigger when he awakens again? if so, ready Standard action: weight of the earth--(12)+20=32 vs AC, and on a hit, he takes (6)+13+6=25 damage and he is slowed UEMNT. If not, then I will just move with it.

Barel looks at Arishat and says "I don't know that knocking it over will help, and it could break or fray some of the ropes during the fall. I say lets let the others search for a way out, while we keep this thing under wraps. Besides, it flew around without much trouble, so a simple switch from one wall to another could be no problem for it."

Barel will be glad to try to help with the next move, if it makes sense, but I am not sure what a simple fall will do to it, other than break the bindings wrapping around its exposed wings.

Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate it :)

@Barel - you can ready an action triggered on the gargoyle moving.

The bound gargoyle does nothing, but the chipped stone continues to restore itself.

Any other ideas what we can do with this thing?

Heh...not a clue Lanthair. But I trust you can think of something...;)

Thom, perhaps feeling time is running out, or maybe just a little reckless, heads to another plinth.

Move to Q11.
Acrobatics 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 add +2 if Raya assists.

Female Tiefling Warlord/Infernal Strategist 18

"And over the edge you go." Arishat tries one last push to get the gargoyle past the point where it topples.

Athletics check 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (16) + 16 = 32.
If it goes over, Arishat is going to move round to the side so she can push it and pull it across the wall-line. If it goes smashing down several times each turn, something is going to break.

Thom clutches the wall as he works his way towards the next plinth. In the meantime, Arishat shoves the gargoyle so that it balances precariously on the border of two walls.

Where are you going to stand Arishat? You've taken a standard to shove and will be taking a move to ... well, move.

Raya readies herself to strike when the gargoyle returns to life as Lanthair moves towards the next plinth and discerns no exit.

With a hideous creak, the gargoyle comes back to life and easily breaks the rope bonds holding it. Even as Barel and Raya attack in response, the four arms lash out at the surrounding group before it takes to the air and heads for Thom.

Barel's readied action hits.

Arishat is bloodied, 36/91 hit ponts - so no chasing gargoyles for the moment.

Thom gathers his robe and his dignity in both hands and stays on his feet. The robe will never be the same again, but thanks to Arishat, the ribs will heal fast.

Barel throws caution to the wind and heads straight for the gargoyle as best as he can.

Move action to R14. Athletics check 1: (8)+12=20. Check 2: (5)+12=17. Crap...I think this means he will be sliding across the room, and will have to rethink his attack.

Barel recovers and stands up, grumbling to himself about wasting time and that damnable gargoyle's wings.

Move action: stand from prone.

Barels makes his way to the wall, but pinballs off it as his foot slips. Propelled elsewhere entirely, he lands winded and brusied before getting to his feet cursing.

Two move actions already, so I have only a minor left. I don't know of anything else useful to do, so I will have Barel start to examine the plinth to which he is now adjacent. Dungeoneering check = (19)+16=35, but a perception check might be better, so Perception: (3)+10=13. If that check is a standard action, then I will save it for next turn.

And he is now bloodied. HP=55/130, with 4/17 surges left.

Thom gulps, That gargoyle is getting TOO close...I need to get some help here. He backs away and looks around and points to a spot behind the gargoyle and yet another creature answers the call...

Move to K11
Summon Stormstone Fury: A hulking elemental of stone and living thunder answers your summons with a sound akin to cracking rock and rumbling thunder.
Minor action; Ranged 10
Effect: You summon a Medium stormstone fury in an unoccupied space
within range. The stormstone fury has speed 6 and resist 10 thunder. You can give the stormstone fury the following special commands.
Standard action: Area burst 2 within 10; targets each creature in burst; Intelligence 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (6) + 18 = 24 vs. Reflex; damage 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 thunder damage. A target in the origin square of the burst takes 2d8 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4 extra damage if hit. Square S13 origin square.
Intrinsic Nature: If you haven't given the stormstone fury any commands by the end of your turn, it makes its attack targeting as any creatures as possible. In addition, you take 5 thunder damage and fall prone.
Symbiosis: While the summoned stormstone fury is present, you deal 2d6 extra thunder damage with area attacks, and each creature in the origin square of your area attacks takes 2d6 thunder damage if you miss.

Thom - you moved across a wall junction and need to make and Ath/Acro check to stay on your feet. Or change you move.

Thom quavers the command words as another of his pets erupts onto the battlefield. The fury claws explodes vaguely in the direction of the gargoyle but the stone creature has no trouble avoiding the attack.

Flying Strike recharge: 1d6=2. No.

Because of my Soul Dance stance, when an enemy misses me with a melee attack, I can teleport to a square adjacent to him and gain CA. I will teleport to Q12.

Flashing around the room, Lanthair appears next to the Gargoyle and then teleports both himself and the gargoyle further still before attempting a devestating attack on it.

Using Tormented Spirit movement technique, I teleport myself to V12 and the gargoyle to U/V/13/14. Tormented Spirit 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33 vs Fort. 3d6 + 17 ⇒ (5, 1, 2) + 17 = 25 necrotic damage and target is weakened to EOMNT.
