Dusting himself off... Sorek smiles at Nuala "that should do it "
Perception east door : 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
Perception : 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
If no mundane traps are found (now that the magic one has been disabled) I'll open the door and look inside

[]Sorek continues with his standard detect Magic evil and perception focusing on the deep pool of water

No magic, but there is something shiney at the bottom of the pool
Sorek
Looks like there is something down there. Guess I'll go down and see if I can get it. Unless of course one of you heavily armored guys wants to sink to the bottom. Good luck getting back up though.
Sorek hands a length of rope to Lars and ties the other around his waist.
Lars pull me up if I become incapacitated by a trap or something
Sorek tests the waters to make sure it is water and not something else like acid. If it is water, he dives in to the bottom towards whatever is "shiney"
swim: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
brvheart
At the bottom of the pool there is a golden skull with gems set into the eye sockets (1,000 gp value).
WabbitHuntr
Sorek swims back to the surface with the skull. . "a little gaudy for my taste. " and tosses the skull (like a water Polo ball) to the center of the group before exiting the pool.

Sorek
After drying himself off with yet another item taken from his magic backpack, Sorek takes point with Nuala and goes back into the main hallway to check out the room to the south (previously rolled 29 perception for the south door). If no traps on the door....let's open it up and see what's inside
Sorek
going in to room 12 and inspecting the door to the west
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
If no traps found we'll open the door and take a look
brvheart
The walls of this room are covered in bizarre pictures and symbols, hastily splashed on with messy, slashing brush-strokes. The words are in the Common tongue, but they make no sense whatsoever
Aggrammar Deepdelver
"Don't care if it's a skull, or if it's golden - I wouldn't put it home, but would definitely sell it" - Aggrammar chuckles, as they put the valuable away.
going in to room 12 and inspecting the door to the west
If no traps found we'll open the door and take a look
"I'm right behind ya lad..." - the words trail off as the dwarf realizes what is in the room - "What the...?"
Perception to make sense out of them scribbles?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Sorek
While Aggrammar tries to puzzle out the mad scribblings Sorek will inspect the door in the south wall of room 13
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
"Good luck making sense out of that gibberish. I'll leave that to you Aggrammar. Actually I think you may be on to something. Maybe we need to get Lars drunk, and then he'll be able to decode its meaning."
Nuala Sataleeti
Nuala casts detect magic just to make sure there's no underlying message ..
Nuala Sataleeti
"I do not think it wise to get drunk in a place like this.. Its deadly enough without someone stumbling around.. We should just move on.."
brvheart
Inside is a crazed man in robes. He wears a helmet fashioned to look like an array of curling tentacles, and the irises of his eyes are a strange yellow color.
Sorek
"hello"to the crazy man and then stepping back out of the doorway and out of the crazed mans line of sight.
speaking to his companions "crazy guy in robes" stepping away from the door Sorek begins to detect evil on the man.
if he's evil and crazy he'll just come out into this room to attack us, and we're all ready for him. If he's just crazy he might not attack. We are a good aligned party. Trying not to kill everything first, asking questions later. I've got to remember to detect evil thru every door b4 we open them...makes decisions like this easier. Yes yes I know he's a crazy guy in an evil dungeon, but he still has a 1.5% chance of not being evil
Sorek
"He's evil...be ready
we arrange ourselves to fight him here in this room. If he's crazy he'll just come in and charge us. If he doesn't come out to play with us...we'll have to go in after him.
brvheart
This room is comfortably furnished with a bed, chairs, a small table, and a locked wooden chest.
WabbitHuntr
"Come out pig kisser "
do we need to go in after him? Or is this crazy guy going to come out and attack us?
-Posted with Wayfinder
Sorek
"ok Lars...Looks like this pig kisser isn't going to come out. So we're going to have to go in a get him. You and I lead the attack?
If Lars and everyone agree to this plan..
When everyone is ready Sorek will run at the pig kisser a launch a flying kick immediately followed by a quick punch to the head. Making sure to end his turn not blocking the way for others to attack.

Aggrammar Deepdelver
"Wait a second lad. I want to hear what he has to say" - the usually good nature cleric speaks with Sorek in a somber tone, then turning to the man - "You there! What is yer business here!?" - he growls, spear poised in front of him defensively.

not attacking. Going with Aggrammars actions. . Sorek will be right next to the crazy dwarf as he attempts to talk with the crazy pig kisser priest

Almon Elros
Though not one of great persuasion, Almon attempts to use his intellect to circumvent an unnecessary battle.
"We have come not to invade your home, but to search for answers in defending our own."
Sorek
Sorek waits hoping this talk escalates to battle quickly. Hoping that this priest of Orcus doesn't fool his companions into letting him live and remain behind as a threat. The only good follower of Orcus is a dead one. That holy symbol itself worn voluntarily is enough to warrant death in his opinion.
Almon Elros
Sensing that things are going to go south, quickly, Almon retrieves his wand of colorspray so that he can get a feel for how difficult this crazed man will be.
He moves towards the door, but does not enter. "We should look to face him out here as we do not know what he might have in store for us in his 'home'," whispers Almon to the others.
Will ready to fire off the wand if the crazed man gets within 15 feet and line of effect/sight.
brvheart
If you are pulling a wand he is channeling to harm:
channel: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8 DC 13 Will for half
Roll init
init: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Almon Elros
Question: As I was behind the wall, he could not see that I pulled a wand at that time. I can understand that he can channel energy when he sees me walk up with wand in hand. Also, based on the door, only myself and possibly Sorek will need the saves because everyone else has total cover. Depending on when he channels, I might instead take my full move so that I can just use the wand immediately.
