You find nothing extraordinary on your sweep of the room, but we cannot move forward until we resolve whether or not Bolger wishes to attack. Being Chaotic good, he may very well decide to take exception.. so I want to give him the chance to act as he wishes.

"I daresay so, they should serve us well!" One of the skeletons opens its maw wide, and V places his head inside for several seconds before pulling it back out unharmed and taking a bow.
"Shall we?"
The two skeletons move across the bridge, then wait for the party to follow.

"First I'd like to check the southern part of this cavern. I think I spotted a door of some kind on the far side..." says Rogar pointing at the door on the soth-eastern side of the cavern, then he adds:"Aramil, friend, I trust you checked for traps and the like too, right?"
Perception check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

![]() |

Leery of using undead creatures as allies, Silas gestures with his sword. "Let one of them open it, if they can. That way, if it's trapped we'll know."

![]() |

Well, DM, do they have opposable thumbs? They oblige if so.

![]() |

Once sure there are no traps around Rogar reaches the door on the eastern side of the cave and checks its contents.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

GM DevilDoc |

Sorry, Today got busy with homework.
No traps are found on the door. As the party opens it, you realize that it brings you right back to the cavern with the bridge.. but underneath it. The silo like cavern stretches above your heads, and a door blocks your movement forward.
Going to go ahead and assume you check it for traps.. No traps are found.

![]() |

Rogar nods at Vanzetti:"Let's unleash your undead beauties... let's open the door and they will chek the next room out for us!"
If needed Rogar opens the door and then waits for the skeletons to get in

GM DevilDoc |

Rogar opens the door and reveals a vast, cathedral-like space that seems even larger because of its emptiness. Two rows of stone pillars run down the center of the hall, supporting a vaulted ceiling sixty feet above. The east and west walls contain tall alcoves—some hold strange objects or displays, and others sport tall stone doors. To the north, twin stairwells ascend to a raised platform with more alcoves, and a circular stand just south of this platform supports an immense mechanical device.
However, you are not alone in this chamber. As Rogar opens the door, it also reveals 4 individuals within the chamber, and they turn as one to greet the party. "We welcome you to us, friends" the central figure calls out to you as she steps forward.

![]() |

Perception check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
"Uh... well met?" says Rogar as the four greet the group.
"Something's very... very wrong here... what's going on exactly???"
"So... we didn't expect to meet other human beings down here. What is that you are doing? We are here to explore these ruins and if your aims are not different than ours maybe we could collaborate..." adds Rogar trying to sound pleasant and charming while staying on his guard and whispering to the others:"Something's off... these people don't seem to be in control of themselves..."

GM DevilDoc |

Cocking her head at Rogar's questions, the leader responds "We are waiting for the coming of the Black Goat and we shall all become Children of the Goat"

"They're obviously talking about the goat-demon Lamashtu." Silas points his sword toward the nearest figure. "What did you do to yourselves?"

"No. We will all become Children of the Goat" the leader says, raising a hand crossbow at the party.

The Amazing Vanzetti himself will follow that up with a reiteration of his souped-up snapdragon fireworks from earlier. The first one goes off in Mr. Green's face, inflicting fire damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 and dazzling them for 1 round, with a DC 16 Reflex save for half damage and no dazzling.

I cannot find any reason to NOT be affected by Bless.. It clearly says ALL ALLIES, so lets go for it!

Just to be clear: are we going to kill all of them? I don't want to ruin anyone's fun but we can subdue them as well without killing them. I ask because Rogar is NG and doesn't believe in killing people he knows are not doing stuff of their own volition (unless he has no choice of course), it's more an roleplaying thing for me than anything else, with a different character I could have taken a different view (or truth be told if Rogar hadn't noticed these people are not in control of themselves)

![]() |

Not kill cultists? Well, I suppose if we can simply subdue them...
Kyra casts Hold Person on the green one, and then moves into better position.

Considering how death mechanics work, we could cut them down with lethal damage, then Kyra could run through and stabilize them before they actually *die.*

Seems like a good plan, although if Rogar attacks normally he risks killing them anyway

You can keep pulling your swings, then; you've got the attack bonus for it. You could also switch to shield and smaller weapon....

The skeletons run in and take out Iklavni.. and it really is not a pretty sight.

The party spreads out, examining the room. It appears to be some sort of display room, with items staggered throughout the room in their own niches in the walls. Each column is inscribed with a name. Along each wall, there is an exit door about half way down, and the far end of the room is a raised dais with stairs on either side of the room to reach this raised portion.
