"Two sugars," the old man answers. "It would have been better to have Gashka here to explain all this but I hope that you will tell her what I am about to say."

He stirs his tea for a moment, then looks to Derika with a forlorn expression. "My name is Lucato. I am a traveler of the universe, but such power does not always mean that bad luck doesn't happen to me either."

Lucato gestures to the orc. "Thrainn saved my life once. While I was journeying through the lands of Cadranite, some bandits fell upon me and would have murdered me if it had not been for your father. Unfortunately, my ability to travel is dependent on specific times. Due to the attack, I had missed my window and was stuck in your parents' land for a year. This happened almost precisely a year before you were born, Derika. I would almost say it was fated to be so, but I believe people can craft their own fate."

He sips on his tea for a moment before continuing. "I do not know why or how but somehow the bloodline of your ancestors presented itself within you. Your parents were living in a town that was very superstitious and willing to spill blood to ward off bad spirits. Without the means to move at the time, I volunteered to take you some place safe...another world. Thrainn and Kealey protested but I saw it as the only chance for your survival. If you have anyone to blame for the life you led, it is my fault."

He finishes the tea and moves on to a tankard of water. "Pardon me while I catch my breath."

She cocks her head to the side as she seems to be taking it all in and giving everything he's saying consideration. Finally after a few minutes she nods her head, "Yeah...I think I can only take this information in short bursts as it is." She sighs and takes a breath or two and lets them out slowly before looking up at them, "I don't really "blame" anyone for the life I led. Not in that way. I just...I didn't know what happened and the clerics at the temple never told me anything, and I...I just thought that I wasn't wanted.....because of what I was and I hated it. I hated who I was because I thought it meant that I didn't deserve anyone's love or compassion....but....Vishanti helped me see that that wasn't true....but while I was younger I became very angry and aggressive. They looked at me with either pity or fear, but never compassion or love. I wasn't angry at them....or you...I was angry at myself for being unloveable and I took it out on those around me." She stops for a moment and takes a few drinks of her ale. Looking down into her drink she says, "By the time I was nine I was stronger than the strongest Cleric there and they didn't feel that their other charges were safe around me.....so they took me to the military academy in Ganz and gave me over to the commander there." She kind of shrugs, "Things just sort of progressed from there, though some of my powers didn't start presenting themselves until more recently. I even argued with Vishanti that I wasn't magical at all, just some kind of freak...until a drunk soldier in the town that we appeared in got a little too....friendly and I accidentally fried his face while trying to push him away." Looking over at Vishanti she smiles, "In many ways I should be grateful because if you hadn't done what you did....I might have never met the love of my life." She says giving the back of her hand a kiss before looking back up at them.

Thrainn smiles. "I'm just glad to see you again...healthy...alive. Even if we don't talk again after this, I want you to know that I never forgot you and I loved you everyday since the day you were born."

Kealey nods in agreement. "Yes, Derika, you were never unwanted or unloved. Lucato...just made sense at the time and it was hard enough keeping Gashka safe. You were the cutest shade of blue when you were born."

She blushes and wipes at her eyes with the back of her hand, "Why....why wouldn't I want to see you or talk to you again? Are you going away again? I...I mean you're my family right? Why wouldn't I want to know you?" She pauses for a moment, looking at Vishanti with absolute love and adoration. Her gold eyes shimmer as she looks back at them, "Besides....if we don't see each other again, how will you walk me down the isle and give me away?"

Rajni yawns as well and stretches, "I'm pretty worn out too from everything today. I feel like I should give Dillon a break from seeing me tonight and get some rest. I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be very busy. Thanks for everything cousin Ranjeet and we'll see you soon. We're so glad that you're here." She says again, sounding pretty sleepy.

"You've had your whole life without us," Thrainn answers. "I didn't know if we fit in anywhere in that."

Lucato pulls out a strange gold pocket watch. "I don't have much time left so I must finish the story quickly. The world you came from is gone and so is the one that Gashka and the rest of your family came from. There is a great cosmic threat that is erasing universes...so, to repay my life debt to Thrainn, I brought you all here. There are many indicators that this threat can be stopped here, so this is the safest place I could think of."

He polishes off the second tankard of water. "I thank you for your kindness and sorry I cannot explain much more."

In a flash of light, Lucato disappears.

"I guess all that sugar wore off, huh?" Elena asks Rajni with a smile.

"Give you away?" Thrainn asks, grinning. "When are you planning to get married?"

She shakes her head at the strange departure, "Well....that was different." Looking from Vishanti to her father she smiles, "We had talked about it before coming here, but at the time we had someone staying with us that had been through a great loss and we didn't want to cause her more pain, so we never really set a date. I would like time to plan this out though, so....maybe a couple of months from now?" She suggests, looking tuo Vishanti tho see what her reaction would be. "I just....I love her so much, I don't want to put it off any longer than necessary to plan it. Is that okay with you love?"

She nods, "My sugar high is turning into a sugar crash."

"I think I might need another glass of wine," Kealey says. "It's been a long day. Oh, this is Dran and Sara by the way. Your brother and sister. They're not very talkative right now since...well, they lost their home."

Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10

She nods, "I understand, I had a hard time adjusting when we got sucked into this new world too....we both did. It's good to meet you Dran and Sara. Do you think they'd like a cookie or two after they're done eating supper?" She asks as she takes the glass to fill it for her mother....whoa....mother. Shaking her head to clear it a bit she says, "Look....I know this is a bit weird for all of us, but really I'm just...I'm happy that I actually have a family again. Not just a family of friends and comrades, but a real family." She takes a breath and lets it out slowly, "I have someone that loves me, and then I found out about Gashka being my older sister...and now...now I have a mother and father, and a little brother and sister. My family has literally tripled in size in just a day and...and I'm okay with that." She says as a tear slides down her cheek while her back is to them. She tries to wipe it away before turning back to them with her mother's glass of wine, "Here you are...mother." It was a little strange saying it, but it felt a little good at the same time. Pouring herself and her father a little more ale as well, she gets the jar of cookies and sets them on the table in case anyone wanted some. Sitting back down she says, "I really think you two ought to be the ones to talk to Gashka about everything. She's known you for much longer than she's known me and....the loss might be easier to take coming from you." She says, unsure of even how to tell her sister that her home and all her friends was destroyed and that she would never see them again.

Kealey smiles. "Thank you, Derika. I'm trying to adjust to this as quickly as possible but it's...a lot."

"Yes, I'd like a cookie," Dran answers.

Sara shakes her head. "I'm fine."

Thrainn nods and sighs. "Yes, I know it'll be hard for her to hear, but I'll tell her."

Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10

She nods, "You can say that again." She takes a cookie out and passes it to Dran, "Here you are." Looking back at her parents she says, "So...I really don't know that much about you except how much you mean to Gashka. So, tell me about yourselves. What did you do back home?"

"We were simple people," Kealey answers. "I was just a regular housewife. I sewed, I cooked and did a few odd jobs around town."

"I hunted, farmed and did some carpentry," Thrainn says. "Not much more than that."

Elena laughs and stands up. "Let's get going then. We don't need you passed out in the street."

Female Fetchling Ranger 6 HP: 51/51; AC: 20, T: 16, FF: 15; Init: +7; Fort: +7, Ref: +10, Will: +1

"Pftt...what you talkin' bout? You're the pregnant one, not me. I'll be okay, you're the one....that needs rest." She says with another large yawn.

Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10

She smiles, "It sounds like a wonderful life. It seems like a very fulfilling one too. Gashka had seemed pretty....down until you all showed up today. I was just beginning to wonder if I needed to have a long talk with her or something....I don't know, I just think everything was starting to get a little overwhelming for her."

"Uh huh."

Female Fetchling Ranger 6 HP: 51/51; AC: 20, T: 16, FF: 15; Init: +7; Fort: +7, Ref: +10, Will: +1

"I'm okay." She says as she stands up and staggers a bit to the door, "I can make it home."

"Her childhood was traumatic," Kealey says. "I suppose that followed her until now. She's always felt safe with us, but, when she got older, she left home."

"We didn't know what happened to her after she left," Thrainn says. "Unless you'd like to tell us, Anyka."

Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10

Her eyes follow her father's to where Anyka stands in the doorway. She hadn't even heard her come in, "Anyka....sorry I didn't see you there. Do you want anything to eat or drink? Can....can you tell us what happened to you guys? Please Anyka? Maybe it would help to talk about it?"

Priya goes to Rajni and puts an arm around her. "With my help, you will. And if you argue with me, you won't like the outcome."

Female Fetchling Ranger 6 HP: 51/51; AC: 20, T: 16, FF: 15; Init: +7; Fort: +7, Ref: +10, Will: +1

She sulks a bit but allows her auntie to help her, "Okay....okay, I got it, but I coulda made it." She says before yawning again.

Asha takes Juhi's hand as they head back home. She holds the door for everyone before closing it behind her. "Do you need to go to bed, Rajni? Or would you like a little coffee? It's still early yet."

Female Fetchling Ranger 6 HP: 51/51; AC: 20, T: 16, FF: 15; Init: +7; Fort: +7, Ref: +10, Will: +1

She plops down into a seat at the table, "Maybe some coffee and a cookie if we have any left?" She asks before laying her head on the table.

"I think we still do," Asha says, making the coffee.

Asha puts the cup of coffee and a cookie in front of Rajni. "Here you go."

Female Fetchling Ranger 6 HP: 51/51; AC: 20, T: 16, FF: 15; Init: +7; Fort: +7, Ref: +10, Will: +1

She sips on the coffee as she nibbles on the cookie, "Thanks mama."

"Back again?" Halfpocket asks Gashka as she walks in.

"Yeah, my family showed up and Barclay found them a house, but it has no furniture so I'm trying to get them somed temporary stuff to use until we the regular furniture. So, I'm gonna need four bedrolls, pillows, and blankets. I'll also need some cookware, utensils, dishes, and fladtware." She says as she ticks off the items on her fingers.

Halfpocket helps Gashka gather the requested items. "Will that be all?"

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

She thinks for a moment, "They'll probably need some personal hygiene items as well. Let me see, I think I'll take four grooming kits, four bath towels and washcloths, a couple of kitchen cloths and towels, and some soap. I guess I'll wait till the morning to get them the groceries they need for the house. I think that should be it...except...." She goes to the section where the kids stuff is and picks out a sweet looking doll for her little sister and a wooden painted horse for her brother. Taking the last couple of items up to the counter she says, "Alright, now I really think that should do it. You don't think I'm forgetting anything they might need do you?"

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

Hey Anyka, did you see above where papa asked you a question? Are you going to answer him? Just wondering if you saw it.

"That should get them through the night, I would think."

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

She blushes, "I know it may seem like a lot of stuff, but I'm not sure what they have with them and the house they're moving into is completely unfurnished and I want them to be comfortable and in case they didn't want to stay at the common house I just wanted to make sure they would have what they need. I don't even know if they have any extra clothes with them for how cold it is here, or anything to sleep in. I didn't even think to ask them what they were able to bring with them, but it didn't look like they had much in the way of luggage." She pauses for a few minutes, seeming to try and collect her thoughts and control her feelings. Finally looking back at him she sighs, "They just showed up suddenly and I don't really understand how or why....but it makes me wonder if.....others from our other world are okay too....if they might be somewhere else....I don't know, I probably sound like a lunatic right now, but I just can't stop all these thoughts from running around in my head." She says as she tries to block out certain thoughts of a fuzzy pirate.

Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10

Looking at the expression on the tight lipped rogues face she says, "Hey....if it's too soon for you to talk about it, that's okay. We were just worried about how Gashka's been acting lately and were wondering if you could tell us anything that might help us help her.....but if you can't, then that's okay too. We can always wait for her to get home and talk to her about it, if you're not comfortable talking about it to us." She says, trying to make her sister's friend feel less uncomfortable since it probably seemed like all eyes were on her.

Looking at her father she says, "Gashka has just been....kinda out of control lately with her emotional responses to things and I was just...I was wondering, was she always super bossy?" She asks, wondering about why Gashka was always trying to tell her what to do. Though she hoped they had worked that out.

Thrainn shakes his head. "It's news to me."

"I think you shouldn't try and think of everything at once," Halfpocket says, totaling Gashka's purchases. "While it may seem that you have a lot on your plate, it will be manageable if you take it one day at a time. I'm pretty sure they don't expect you to do everything for them. It'll work out if you just take it slow."

Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10

"Hmmmm...it must be an effect of whatever she went through then. Maybe that coupled with finding out she had another younger sister she didn't know about. I'm by no means helpless though, I just tried not to give her a lot of grief since she already seemed to be pretty upset." She says, trying to rationalize her sister's erratic behavior.

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

She nods as he looks over everything she had gotten, it really was quite a bit. Thinking for a few minutes she responds, "Yeah....I know. I have a tendency to do that. It kinda makes me feel fried sometimes when everything is going on at once. I just...I haven't had a whole lot of time to process everything we've been through, so it's difficult to think about things one at a time when it feels like you're being drowned by stuff. I'll try to slow down though. I guess I shouldn't care so much about the how and the why and just be happy that they're here and they're safe."

Male Human Witch 7 HP: 31/31; AC: 14(18), T: 11, FF: 10; Fort: +4, Ref: +7, Will: +6; Initiative: +1, Perception: +3

"She seemed to calm down a bit after seeing her parents," Chris says, putting Renard's bowls in the sink.

Halfpocket nods. "Just enjoy the rest of the evening with them and then handle a few more things tomorrow. That'll be thirty gold, all in all."

Female Half-Orc Bloodrager 7 HP: 84/84; AC: 17,T: 10, FF: 16; Fort: +9, Ref: +4, Will: +4; Init: +0; Perception: +10

Derika nods, "That makes sense if she feels safe when they're around. She feels more secure and safe with them around, so she's a little more stable maybe now that they're here? I don't know...as long as she's feeling better."

Male Human Witch 7 HP: 31/31; AC: 14(18), T: 11, FF: 10; Fort: +4, Ref: +7, Will: +6; Initiative: +1, Perception: +3

Chris nods in agreement.

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

Damn...a girl can't even go out for a while without people psychoanalyzing her? Lol

Giving him a smile she says while counting out thirty five gold, "You're right, here you go....and thank you. I gave you the thirty-five since I ended up getting a couple of extra things that I didn't think of at first, like the cots, teakettle, and few other little trinkets. I don't think I've seen a store stocked better than this in my life. Have a good night Mr. Halfpocket." Opening up her bag she puts all of the goods in it before shutting it and leaving the shop.

When all is said and done she walks away with: 4 bedrolls, 4 blankets, 4 pillows, 4 cots, 2 folding chairs, 3 lamps, 3 pints of oil, cookware, utensils, flatware, 2 different bars of soap...one with a fresh pine scent for her papa and brother, and one with a light flower scent for her mama and sister. A stove can, a tea pot, a box of herbal tea bags, a waffle iron, 4 grooming kits, shovel, a dish set with enough of everything for 8 people, a set of towels and washcloths for the kitchen, and 4 washcloths and bath towels for them so they each have one, a pretty soft doll for Sara, and a wooden painted horse for Dran.

Female Fetchling Ranger 6 HP: 51/51; AC: 20, T: 16, FF: 15; Init: +7; Fort: +7, Ref: +10, Will: +1

She seems to perk up a little bit with the coffee, but her eyes still look tired.
