Fizz wonders about the mosaic and figures that the undead were likely summoned to the room when the living entered the chamber.

Proceeding to the west, the party finds the passage turns to the north and ends in another set of double doors. Opening them, you see a large chamber whose ceilings are being supported by four pillars. Two foul looking creatures are in the room. Each of them stalks the space bounded by the square columns, however they always stop short of crossing that boundary.

Noticing the party, the creatures throw themselves against this invisible barrier, unable to get to you. But a moment later a voice echoes from the darkness, I release you, crypt guardians!
