Temp HP: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Header updated!
Cup |
I have not updated saves on both characters, but EVERYONE in the party is under Good Hope. +2 to attacks, damage, skills, saves.
Mr. Peppers |
Unless someone else cast it, or you have an item of it, I don't 'think' there is any haste floating around.
Mr Peppers only had 1 3rd level slot left and he used it on the bolt to fry sharks. Sorry but Mr Peppers was pretty scared of those sharks!
Uesugi Hideyoshi |
oops I got all excited. Minus one to all attack rolls and no extra attack. Sorry Red.
Mr. Peppers you party pooper!
Uesugi Hideyoshi |
Now that is how scenario should end. Good choice Red!
GM Red |
I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. We are more or less done, I've just gotta post the conclusion.
I'm so glad Mr. Peppers reminded us about Aquel's Aid spell, and that the temp hp saved Gallix! It would've been really difficult for me to flat out kill a Red Arm character. I GUESS you could always raise dead, but it's pricey!
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne |
I’m very glad for that Aid spell too, but hey, if the dice decided t take Gallix that’s just the way it is.
Glad to be able to keep playing with the Red Arm though!
Mr. Peppers |
Its unpossible to have too many hp... especially coming from the eyes of an Elven spellcaster of squishiness.
GM Red |
Day job rolls, please!
And if anyone wants a more fully filled out chronicle, give me your initial XP/prestige/fame/gold/prestige spent.

I want to make a check for my faction card.
Recruit a named NPC aristocrat, noble, ambassador, or similar figure to cooperate with the faction with a successful Diplomacy or Knowledge (nobility) check (DC = 14 + your character level + 3 for each of this goal’s checked boxes)
Diplomacy vs DC27: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Day job Painting: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Mr. Peppers |
I can get that info for you tonight when I get home Red.
On a related note to Uesugi's check (rough time getting that one completed, eesh!) I'm trying to complete the last two boxes for Mr Pepper's card so I was looking for some info on our next mission.
Mr Peppers is taking a 1 mission hiatus (as is CUP) to make space for a couple people for your next mission. But the mission after that (if there is one..) is it going to be the special I'm seeing talked about in early January?
IF so... does it provide the ability to complete either of these two goals? AND/OR Am I able to complete either of these goals from this mission? The one that is at all questionable would be the second one.
(1/2) Participate in an adventure that includes at least two encounters that do not take place on the Material Plane.
(1/2) Resolve an encounter with an organization led by genies, elemental forces, or those who revere them.

That first one can definitely be completed through this scenario. I don't know a whole lot about Race for the Runecarved Key, other than that I did sign our group up for it. Hmm may know!
As Mr. Peps said, Cup and he will be taking a short break for our next game. Two local VCs wanted to try out play-by-post, and Hmm requested that I run the game. I don't have the bandwidth to run a normal Red Arm game AND run that game, so I figured I'd combine them. That game will take place over here, so feel free to dot into discussion and gameplay.
To be clear - this is a one game break for Cup and Peppers and all six of you will be back for the special in January. You two can feel free to watch the other game, and insert random gameplay posts too if you're so inclined (maybe you're in the same place at the same time, somehow ;)
Cup |
Pep and I are on a TOP secret mission... Together! Maybe we can send you dispatches from it!
Mr. Peppers |
Ok, I'll check off the first one and hope to get to the next sooner than later. As far as chronicle...

I think Cup is finally getting her wish to be alone with Tuxedo Mask! Go easy on pointy ears Cup!
D.Arth |
I'll get to the other details tonight.

Perform Sing: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 20 = 32

Get your 8-20 chronicles here!
Errors? Let me know!
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne |
Thanks, Red! Mine looks good.
Man, there's some rad stuff on that chronicle sheet. Very seriously considering that frost amulet of mighty fists right now. I'm gonna have to hold off, though. Uesugi's adamantine katana has made it all too clear that I need something similar to be effective. Besides, I'll soon be at a level where my unarmed strikes count as cold iron, so it may be time to switch out old Fey-Basher.
Sirettis |
Looks good to me. Thank you!
Mr. Peppers |
"Hey guys... where'd everyone run off to? Guys?" Tall, dark and lonely wanders off to get some research done in the Grand Lodge Library while the others are away having fun.

”Oh hi, Mr. Peppers! Long time no see!” a familiar and unfortunate-looking dwarf maiden appears around the end of one of the Library’s shelves and walks toward the solitary elf. Begrilda Hammerhild waves at Mr. Peppers as she moves toward him, then pauses and gets a quizzical expression on her face. ”Say, I just realized everyone just calls you Mr. Peppers. So do you actually have a first name? Oh! I bet it’s some beautiful elvish name isn’t it, and you just don’t want people to mispronounce it. Is that right?”

Mr Peppers looks up from his tome, his eyes narrowing a bit as he tries to remember meeting this particular Dwarven 'maiden' "Have we indeed met? I think I'm still trying to clear the water out of this one ear and its gotten my mind all out of sorts."
He sets down the book and continues "At any rate, yes, I do have a first name, but I ask to be called MR Peppers, as a sign of due respect for my age and station. My first name shall remain a mystery until the proper time Miss Hammerhild, but just so you know... it IS magnificent..." He says with a sly smile.

"Of course we've met," Begrilda says with a pout. "Don't you remember? I traveled with the Red Arm of Absalom for a short time while Gallix was away." She crosses to a nearby chair and sits down heavily, "Oh well, I suppose you all have had lots of grand adventures since then. I can't expect you to recall one mission traveling with a love-struck dwarf maid."
She falls silent for a moment, perhaps just long enough for Mr. Peppers to think he might be able to return to his studies in peace. Before he can read his first sentence, though, Begrilda hops back up out of her chair and selects a book from the top of Mr. Peppers's stack. "Whoa! What are all these funny symbols?"

Mr Peppers winces a bit as she startles him from his work yet again This is going to be a long 'vacation', don't the decemvirate realize how important I am to be forced into unnecessary 'vacations'?
Mr Peppers looks up slowly from his book, his enhanced eyesight focusing far to closely on the distorted and wholly overwhelming facial structure of one Begrilda Hammerhild yet again. He quickly looks down at the tome "Those are arcane runes Miss Hammerhild, does the church you represent not encourage at least the basic teachings of arcane theory and understanding?"
His blood starts to warm a bit as a torrent of arcane symbols and equations flood into his brain, sending in pleasant feelings of excitement and relaxation at the same time. "While the divine gifts the Gods bestow their followers are grand and sometimes potent, they are no match, and essentially even granted thanks to ARCANE philosophies."
He sits up in his chair even closer to the table, his hands waving around demonstratively, his eyes flash a pale blue color as he really starts to get into his end of the discussion "While there are the two distinct types of magic: Arcane and Divine, and of course alchemy, the bastard little brother to the Arcane, in the end their beings are tied to the same thing: The Arcana! And if you can understand The Arcana, you will understand Magic in general. Not at least taking the time to gain such basic knowledge you do yourself and your Holy Mother a disservice!"
Begrilda Hammerhild |
Begrilda stares blankly at Mr. Peppers, her mouth slightly agape as he expounds on the majesty of The Arcana. When he finishes elf-splaining to her about magic, she shrugs, closes the book with a snap and takes her seat again. "Oh! Well that's all very interesting of course, but I've found a lot of truth in the idea of the Divine Mystery. Sometimes magic is just another tool for those who believe to use in service to their deity, even if they don't possess a deep understanding of the mechanics of it like you. In other words, it's a matter of faith!" She pauses and looks across the table at the elf, wondering if he holds to any kind of belief. "Not that it's a mark of a lack of faith to study these things more deeply, I just don't think it's fair to say I'm dishonoring Bolka by not being an expert like yourself. I admit that I'm somewhat ignorant of things like this. Maybe you could give me some basic lessons so I can understand how to use my magic better?"
Mr. Peppers |
Tall, dark and overzealous gives the Dwarf a look of perplexion Did she actually insinuate she could reach my level of arcane expertise? I must have misheard that. "You're making it sound like all you 'holy rollers' are just flying by the seat of your robes and are happy propping up the tagline 'ignorance is bliss'." He says with a chuckle.
"I'm sure many Deities are extremely happy that their followers are merely sheep, doing their bidding, spreading their tenets, increasing the size of their flock... their power! Nethys isn't one of those Gods. He is the God of Magic, of the arcane, of its knowledge! Grow your own knowledge, grow your own power, expand your understanding... your flock and your Bolka will reward you for it."
He settles down for a moment and reopens the book she just closed. "While this tome has knowledge far past your ability to understand, I would be happy to show you some of the basics that can be gleaned from its introductory pages. And, if you'd like, I could help you towards increasing your understanding of the theories of magic and the arcane while the rest of the Red Arm are away."

Does anyone here has a Core PC between levels 3-7? I'm trying to gauge interest for 8-02: Ward Asunder.
Sirettis |
CLICK HERE and add yourself to the sign up sheet, I'll try to rustle up interest for a game of 8-02 over the weekend.
GM Red |
The Red Arm & Co. game just finished up so Gallix, D.Arth, Uesugi, and Sirettis are free again!
I was thinking we'd likely hold off until Race for the Runecarved Key on Jan 5th. Not quite enough time to squeeze another game in. Looking forward to it either way!
Gorgeous Gallix Granbonne |
Woohoo! Looking forward to the special!
I hope everyone has a great holiday! Anyone have any special plans?
Mr. Peppers |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Hrm. I plan to be stressed out, running around like a half dead chicken, trying to make everything work out, cook, clean, deal with gifts and fight the weather.
I'll also plan to eat too much, watch/listen to some football as I make stuff in the kitchen and make time for at least one night out drinking and playing games with friends up for the holiday.
Then once New Year's arrives I'll let out a sigh of relief and focus on icefishing for the next 3 months!
Sirettis |
Are we planning to do anything for Solstice Scar B?
Uesugi Hideyoshi |
Don't forget about football Peppy. LOTS OF FOOTBALL!

Are we planning to do anything for Solstice Scar B?
That is totally up to Red!
I am okay playing in #8-99B. I am also okay with skipping it if you all decide that you want to do so. My holidays have been nuts!
Hmm
