"To Godrick."

Arista Milocathe
Arista takes just a small sip before setting the glass down and looks at Alethiro, "I am really happy to see you though, and grateful to you Clara for thinking of bringing him with the rest of you." She wraps her arms back around her husband, just trying to soak up every minute with him so that it would see her through the next part of what they still had to do.
Thinking for a moment she says, "In case anyone missed the announcement earlier, we're having a girl. My heads kinda all over the place so I don't remember what I say to whom most of the time" She shrugs and smiles slightly as she gives him quick kiss on the cheek.
Clara Risbane
Clara raises her glass again. "Congratulations, Arista. And it was no problem, Alethiro had been a great help building the chapel and really the only friend I have in Valwick..."
She pauses for a moment, mulling over her words. "Well, among the people there presently. Anyhow, I thought it would be good for both of you to be together again for a little bit."

She nods, "It's a great gift for me to see him again and it means more to me than I could ever express in any words."

Noting her body language and tone, Arista gives Alethiro another kiss and pats him on the arm as she stands up. Going to Clara she gives her a hug as she says softly, "Thank you again, for everything. You're always gonna be family to me Clara." Stepping back from the embrace she gives Clara a smile before going back to Alethiro so say their goodbyes.

Sādhanā
Sādhanā walks over to Clara placing a hand on her shoulder. "You will always have a protector in me Clara."
She pauses a moment. "I have two important things I need to tell you, one for Barkley and the other just for you. We faced a white dragon, Syralth is her name. She obtained information that something she's looking for might lie with the Anizari. If she comes across the knowledge of the Anizari caves...well they're less than a day from Valwick. Have Barclay keep an eye towards the skies."
Looking Clara in the eyes she smiles. "The second is that you aren't alone in more ways than one. You have living family, your aunt Rikali, your father's sister is alive. She was among the prisoners kept in the mines under this bridge that we were able to free. She's in a town a few days from here with the other refugees and a few other allies of ours keeping safe, and we'll be passing through there on the way back. She can't wait to meet you."
Clara Risbane
Clara brightens considerably. "I have an aunt? That's...wonderful!"

"To Godrick. May we all come to peaceful ends."
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
"We should be back soon, and I didn't say this before but congratulations Michael."
Arista Milocathe
Arista looks at Clara and Michael for a minute as she takes Alethiro's hand in hers.
"Would it be alright if I had a moment alone with him? There's something that I really do need to tell him, while he's here and everything. We could go to the sleeping quarters to talk, I promise it won't take too long."
Sādhanā
Sādhanā returns the embrace. "It's been my honor to do so. Thank you for teaching me to believe in something bigger than myself."
After a few moments she steps back with a warm smile. Without looking, her hand reaches down and finds Ylrhea's squeezing it reassuringly.
Ylrhea Corissca
Ylrhea smiles as she feels her love's hand squeezing her own. "Yes, Arista, go ahead and talk to your husband. You've earned at least that much."
Arista Milocathe
She smiles as she starts leading Alethiro towards the women's sleeping quarters. "Come on my love, there's something I really do need to talk you about something."

Alethiro Milocathe
Standing up, he said, "Excuse us." And followed his wife to the sleeping quarters. Once there he sat on of the beds, "Before you say anything, I feel I should tell you. My Father, Step-Mother, and Brothers arrived in Valwick not long after you left. While helping build the church, I've also been mending that fence as well. They can't wait to meet you."
Arista Milocathe
The look of worry that she had on her face when she told him they needed to talk seems to fade somewhat as it's replaced by a mixture of surprise and joy. She takes his hands in hers, "Oh Alethiro that's wonderful! I'm so happy for you my love, for us and our baby......wait, do they know about the baby?"

Alethiro Milocathe
"Yes they do. I informed them the day you sent me the message."

Arista Milocathe
She nods slightly the coloring in her cheeks darken slightly. Taking a deep breath she prepares to explain something that's going to be difficult for him to understand or possibly even accept. Taking his hands in hers again she looks into his eyes, "Okay....I have something I need to explain to you too and it's not gonna be easy for you to hear. Just try to stay calm though. After we left we found out that Alethia had been following us. Apparently she went to that shadow lady's place and rescued Niccolo from her. She takes a deep breath before she continues, "Everything just about that Drago had told you was true. She had been completely turned somehow into a full on Vampire.....but, though I can't really explain it I...I felt something change in her. She felt horrible about all the things she had done and didn't think she deserved forgiveness, or her own family for that matter. It took quite a while....but I think she started seeing it too. Then one day, keep in mind a lot has happened so my memory of events might be....kinda clouded. I heard Sarenrae's voice ask me if Alethia deserved a second chance....so of course I said yes and she took away the Vampire part of her and made her like Drago is. Am I going too fast for ya honey? Sorry bout that.....it all happened kinda fast too. Anyways, long story short....your sister's alive, she worships Sarenrae now and she's an initiate Priestess I guess you would call it. I've heard her sing and she has the most beautiful voice my love. She's in Siphas with Niccolo and some others. She really wants to see you and the rest of her family again....but....but she's scared. She thinks your family will....I don't know...toss her out or something because of what she is. She's afraid that she's lost her family love.....but, we can fix this right? Love? Are you okay?" She knew it would be a lot for him to take in, she just hoped she did the right thing telling him.

Alethiro Milocathe
Alethiro sat there in a stunned silence, trying to process the world shattering news that his beloved had just told him. "She's.......she's.......alive?" Is all he managed to get out, barley.
Arista Milocathe
Nodding she says, "Yes...I'm sorry to bring it up so suddenly...but I thought since you were here I should try to explain it to you, rather than just springing it on you when we get back. Are you...are you okay?"
Alethiro Milocathe
The Elf leaned forward, putting his elbows on his knees, and his hands over his mouth. Alive. Once more alive after all these years. He looked at Arista, "I'm...I'm alright. It's just....I never thought to see her again until after I stood before Pharasma to be judged." After another moment, he added, "What will my Father say?" Thinking once more, Alethiro tenderly embraced his wife, "You don't know what you've given me."
Arista Milocathe
She holds him close, "I didn't do anything...it was Sarenrae who brought her back. I just...I talked to her is all. Talk to your family after you get back home and try to explain it to them. I'm sure it won't be easy for them, but they should know that there is nothing the dawn flower can not do. She has missed all of you so terribly too."

A momentary blush crosses the Dhampir's cheeks before he answered. "Such as what?"

"Well, there is one thing." Drago said as he pulled out his storm motif-ed flute. "I picked this up back when Ylrhea and I escaped Chalandra. I was using it to help distract me from the Thirst. It's been a while, but I think I might be able to whip up something." The Dhampir began thinking.
Tarja Silverscales
3 people marked this as a favorite.
"Open your mind to me Stormborn. I remember a tune once played by one of your ancestors. I'll sing, you play."
As Drago began playing, Tarja lifted her voice in song.
"My life upon this plane,
Was that of a feather in the breeze.
Then I came upon your beauty,
And my cares they did freeze.
You are the light,
By which I find.
My way in the world,
And out of any bind.
I Will always hold,
My love for you.
A passion so bright,
Tride and true.
Until the sun sets
At the end of my days"
Arista Milocathe
Knowing that they didn't have much more time to be together, she decides not to tell him about all the other stuff till after they get home. Instead she just scoots over a little closer to him and wraps her arms around him while leaning into him.
She lets out a little contented sigh, "Well...now you can go back home and tell them about your sister and that we're having a girl. I hate the thought of you leaving, but I know you can't stay. I'm sure Michael is getting tired and would like to get back to Jelks. I'm just so happy you were able to come my love. It has helped to remind me why we keep fighting, and what we're fighting for. Once I get home though I want you to myself for at least an entire day though." She brings her head up to give him another soft tender kiss.
Ylrhea Corissca
Ylrhea nods in agreement, the words resonating with her.

"I suppose it is getting close to that time. I just wish we could stay the night." After the kiss, the Elf stood. "Let's head back to the others."
Arista Milocathe
She stands and gently caresses his face with her hand while smiling up at him, "I wish you could stay the night as well....but, it wouldn't be fair to Clara or Michael. Ill be home soon, I promise." Looping one of her arms through his she leans against him as they walk back out to the others.
