"Who are you to tell me how I should raise my wayward daughter?!" Rafat asks, his hand deftly drawing his scimitar. "Put that weapon down before you have no hands left to fire it with!"
Smiling to herself, Sādhanā slowly opens the door and enters the room. Sitting on the bed next to Arista, she chuckles as she nudges her friend gently. "Wake up hon, it's about time we all get together and get ready to move on."
Leveling a look at the strange man, Rajni's eyes narrow. "I'll put it down as soon as he turns around and walks away." Glaring at Rafat she says, "This is Valwick and your type of intolerance and persecution, is not acceptable. She has done nothing wrong, and if you ever touch her like that again....I will kill you."
"And who are you? This...feh...woman assaulted me because I came to claim my daughter," Rafat says. "I don't know who she thinks she is but she has made a grave mistake."
"I am the town's watchman and I don't care what's been going on but nobody's drawing weapons over stupid s!@@," Gerard growls. "If you wanna keep this up, I'll be your worst f&!$ing nightmare."
"If you want to know where your shrine is...go talk to Godrick and Barclay. They are the ones in charge here...not you." Keeping Elena behind her she backs up, Shamara right next to them. When they are far enough back, she slams the door in his face.
Rafat beats on the door with the hilt of his blade. "You will come out here, Elena! I blame your mother for letting you associate with such a peasant! I dread to think of who you are bedding!"
"Put the sword down and quit beating on the door!" Gerard yells at Rafat. "I'll talk to Ele..."
His words are cut off as he takes a meaty fist to the face. "Oh, no no no...that's it!"
Fur sprouts all over Gerard's body, his face becoming a bestial snout. His fangs glisten in the morning sun. "You want to do this? Let's do this!"
He claws at Rafat, who punches him twice more, only adding to his anger. Gerard wraps an arm around the man's neck. "Stop or I will make sure there's nothing left for people to find."
Rajni turns to Elena, "Stay in here and do NOT come out, understand?" She gives her a hug and then pushes her back a bit, once Elena is out of the way, Rajni levels her shoulder at the door and opening it charges through, knocking a surprised Rafat onto the ground. "I said leave her alone. You are the one that's a disgrace here. What a coward you must be." She stands over him, hands on her hips.
The sound of a sword being drawn rings out with unnatural clarity."Monsieur, you are assaulting a man of the city's watch, and now fighting a girl in the streets of a city you just entered. If you do not wish to be piled onto the next boat leaving, in whatever condition he chooses to leave you in I would surrender. Maintenant
Rajni's breathing is ragged and suddenly tears stream down her face. "I wasn't sure why Sarenrae brought me here...until now. So, thank you for making my purpose clear to me. I am here to protect people like Elena, from people like you. This is Valwick....and I am Rajni...and as of right now, Elena's body guard. You will curb your violent tendencies, or you will get the HELLS out of our town!" She says this as she once again levels her bow at him. As she draws back the string an arrow appears and is aimed at his heart. "If you want to live here, then you will abide by OUR rules. I don't want to hurt anyone...but I will kill anyone that threatens Elena again. Do you understand me?"
"Almost." Sādhanā says smiling. "Just a matter of the last few of us asking our favors. Everyone is gathering their gear now. I figure you'd like to be at least moderately awake when we leave."
Rubbing her eyes again she sits up, "Yeah, thanks for waking me. I'll have to take care of some of my own.....needs before getting my stuff together anyways." She blushes slightly.
"While your enthousiasme is impressive Madamoiselle, I cannot allow you to execute this man in the street....Surtout sur mon premier jour please lower the bow" Amélie speaks in a calm yet quite commanding voice
Taking a few deep breaths to try and calm herself, she slowly lowers the bow as the arrow disappears. Turning to Godrick she bows her head, "I...I'm sorry...all I could see was...was father." She bury's her head in the older paladin's chest and begins to weep.
Flashing a Arista wry grin, Sādhanā gets up and makes her way to the door. "I'd heard that pregnant women had to go all the time, but this is the first time I've actually seen it happen. Don't worry we'll stop whenever you need hon."
Amélie's eyes harden as she strides over to the fallen bearded man. "Get up cochon!" She guestures with the blade. Without taking her eyes off the man she addresses Godrick. "How would you like this bête to be dealt with Godrick?"
Asha picks up Rafat by his arm. "Welcome to Valwick, husband..."
She then reaches back and smacks him across the face hard. "You are the disgrace to the Mahila! I run the household, you provide for the family. Or did you forget? How Elena chooses to live her life is her choice and I give her my blessing. You've been sailing far too long. You have lost your faith on those open seas."
Her slight fangs show as she berates Rafat in front of all. "I don't know what ports you sleep in..."
"Asha..." Rafat starts.
"No, you will be quiet! Your words have no weight. I alone am the ghara ke mukhiya! I don't need your materials, I don't need your help...I don't need you! For too long, I have let you run your mouth. For too long, I've been afraid to stand on my own, but, now that you have shown that you are a talking ass, I will not let you dishonor our family. Amanurata blesses us without you. I have not even touched the last shipment you brought. This is not Deshur and you are not Nara, unless you've been frequenting their temples of decadence. I do not know you anymore, Rafat, leave my sight!"
Rafat stands there stunned before turning away and heading back to the harbor.
With her door closed Arista tends to her more personal business, then once her hands are cleaned she goes about the room making sure to pick up everything. When she comes across her brother's sword, she unwraps it carefully and holds it to her. Someday Theon...I will find out what happened to you. Once again wrapping it in cloth, she puts it into her bag and heads downstairs.
As Arista beholds the unwrapped sword, a vision of ice covered mountains flashes in her mind. The vision is gone as soon as it arrived.
Rajni:
Godrick puts an arm around the young fetchling. 'It isn't always like this here. I am sorry for the bad memories it brought up for you. He's gone now."
She shakes as she tries to control her weeping, "He...he just grabbed her...and I...I lost it. It was father all over again...." She shudders violently before attempting to take a few more deep breaths and calming herself. She looks up at Godrick then, "But...but I stood up to him, I didn't let him hurt Elena. I wouldn't let him...touch her." She pulls back slightly as if remembering something, "Oh...Elena...I left her in the common house with Shamara to guard her and told her not to come out. I should go get her now....she was...just... really terrified."
She stands there not sure of what she's just seen. Could that be where Theon is? Is that where I'm supposed to take the sword? What does it mean? She ponders these things as she grabs her stuff and heads downstairs.
Bag girls bad girls, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they come for you?:
Rajni stops and looks up at Asha, there is a slight color change to her cheeks. "Asha...I...I'm sorry...I didn't mean to be disrespectful. Of course you can see Elena, I left her in there with Shamara to guard her. Let me call off Shamara first before you enter, okay?" She goes back inside and comes back out a couple minutes later with Shamara. "Elena's in there...but...she's really upset...take all the time you need." Giving Shamara a command the two of them walk away towards the beach.
Rajni bows to Asha then turns and walks off towards the beach. Once there she sits on the sand with Shamara laying across her lap. A few tears still fall down her face, but she realize that it's a release, not sorrow that's causing them to fall. Standing up for Elena the way she did, made her realize that her father's hold on her was truly broken and that he couldn't hurt her anymore. At least not without her putting up a serious fight. She rubs her shoulder where she collided with the big burly man, even though it aches a little it was worth it to Rajni to see the big ape go flying backwards. Although, she didn't mean to hurt...who was that anyways? A man...a wolf? She shrugs as she sits on the sand listening to the waves crash on the shore.
Getting up from the sand, Rajni wraps her arms around Elena in a fierce hug, "You have nothing to be sorry for." Releasing her from the hug she stands back and looks at her, "I'm glad I was there....I think...I think I was supposed to be. I'm just glad that you're alright." She looks at her with a crooked smile, "At least he wasn't a Shadow Demon like my father."
