I keep forgetting that I'm NG. So, the decisions I've made make more sense to me now. If I keep doubting myself, it will eventually get to the point that I'm not able to make decisions when it's really important for me to do so. All any of us can do, is go with what our gut tells us. They just look like wolves to me, and they're not chasing children or humans...so....*shrugs* Lol
Turning to face her wife, Tesia gently pullsx her down into her lap. Giving her forehead a kiss she smiles, "I just love you, you know that? You always know what to say to make me feel better. I think I've been overthinking things a lot lately, and doubting myself....my decisions, but you're right, and all we can do is make the choice that we feel is right for everyone. Too many people are depending on us, for us to get sidetracked now. We need to stay focused and see things through, so we can meet back up with the others." Giving Rhy's cheek a kiss, she picks her book back up and continues to read while holding Rhy close to her, Rhy's presence was the calm in her storm. She made sense when nothing else did.

The rest of Tesia and Rhadaya's watch passes without any incident beside some screaming, most likely from the goblins, in the distance.

The rest of the night passes quietly and you awaken to feel snow falling down around you.
---
From the last tower, Roshan sees nothing else of interest.
Tesia Stormbringer |
If there is anything you want to add Rhy to the previous night's conversation, youh can just retcon it when you have a chance. We got company over right now.
Tesia Stormbringer |
Tesia stretches as they wake up and looks over at her wife before looking around at the snow as it falls, "Yeah, we should make pretty good time today. Here, I have some extra rations if anyone needs them." She says, pulling out some extra rations from her bag in case anyone needed them. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long to get there.

Leaving the tower, he walks back to Sadhana, "Well, there was nothing of importance up there, and I didn't see anything interesting from the tower. I'd like a better look at those remains, but it's going to be dark soon and I don't want to keep you from your friends. I don't have to know everything right away. So, what is it that you're seeking?"
Rhadaya Stormbringer |
Looking at the sky she nods, stretching her body after awakening. "That will be good, it'll be easier if the elements aren't against us as well."
Tesia Stormbringer |
Tesia shrugs as she puts the rations back in the bag. Picking up the bedding, she starts putting everything away. Making sure the fire is out, Tesia turns to the others, "Okay, I'm sure we can find it. Should we go on foot, or try to find it by air? Though approaching from the air might startle them." She kind of shrugs, "It doesn't really matter to me how we get there though." She says while taking in the area around them to try and figure out how to get to the other town.

Roshan looks out towards the setting sun as he waits patiently for an answer from the magus.
I'm actually kinda hazy at this point on what we're doing. Sorry.
Rhadaya Stormbringer |
"That would make sense. Get an early start to avoid being out after dark. Isolated villages like this basically need each other to trade things they don't produce themselves." Rhadaya adds

I think we were just checking out the roof and watch towers for clues as to what happened here, as well as what really happened to my great great grandfather. I don't really remember the exact reason for us being here, except I guess to learn things about thed people who first came to this island? Does that sound right?
GM Henry Fortuna |
After a couple of hours of walking, Tesia spies a larger village up ahead. The village is surround by a circular stone wall and she sees two armed men at the gate leading inside.
---
Going back to the skeleton, Roshan sees that he could possibly get the holy symbol around its neck. If he didn't want to put himself in any possible danger, he is pretty sure his Unseen Servant could do it.
As the sun finally sets on the temple, you all feel an unwelcome and distinct chill run up your spines.
Tesia Stormbringer |
As she leads the others, they stop just before coming up on the guards. Raising an arm in greeting she says, "Good morning, could you tell me where we are? We're not from around here, and are unfamiliar with our surroundings."
Roshan Sharma |
Okay, so yeah, you guys were just checking it out. The Temple was pretty much just on your way to wherever it was you were going. I can't even remember that right now.
Reaching out with a portion of his power, Roshan uses his magic to make the holy symbol come to him.
Seeing that they wouldn't find anything else of importance up here, he makes a mental note of the location of that town as they head back inside.
Feeling the chill run up his spine he looks around at the others, "Okay...I've been in a lot of creepy places, but I've never felt something like that before. Do you guys think we should leave this place? I just...I mean, if you want to. I wouldn't want you to feel like you had to stay or anything...I'm not really sure I would find anything else of use here anyways." Roshan says, sounding just a little disappointed. He found out what was really important to him though, so maybe he didn't have to figure out everything right away.
Still holding the holy symbol in his hand, he looks down at it as they try to figure out what they should do.
Sādhanā |
"That's....definitely not normal....hell even the shadow plane didn't feel like that. After all this time, and the fall of the temple I doubt this ground is consecrated any longer either." Sadhana says suppressing a shudder.
"Did you plan on spending the night in the temple itself?" she asks Roshan.
Roshan Sharma |
Thinking for a moment he says, "Oh, I almost forgot. There's just that one locked door left....but, I'm not sure I want to stick around long enough to find out what's behind it right now, you know...considering everything that happened here, and that weird feeling. If there's any further investigating to be done, it should probably be done after the sun comes back up." Roshan glances somewhat nervously out a window as they discus what to do, while trying not to appear nervous. He thinks back to see if he can recall any information about the Temple or surrounding area being haunted.

So, basically...we went back inside to where the others were waiting once the sun was setting and I was done going through the towers....right? I just forgot about the locked door, but it might have to wait. I don't wanna get attacked by some restless spirits
Tesia Stormbringer |
Giving him a polite nod of her head she says, "Okay, thank you. Um...do you have a place to eat here? I mean...one you might recommend?" She asks with a friendly smile, wanting to avoid just wandering around the town aimlessly. They still had a lot of ground to cover and she didn't want to get too distracted, but they did need to buy supplies. This looked like it would be a good place to find what they needed if it was a trading post as the man said.
Tesia Stormbringer |
"Thank you again for all your help, I'm sure we'll find what we need here. Have a good day gentlemen." Pausing for a moment she turns back towards them as something they said sticks with her, "You said before that we're not monsters. Does that mean then that you get a lot of them here, and what kind of monsters have you seen? If you have time and don't mind satisfying my curiosity that is." She didn't want to pry too much, but she couldn't help but be curious as to what they meant by "monsters".
Rhadaya Stormbringer |
Rhadaya chuckles at the guards' generally bored demeanor. It looked like they hadn't had to deal with anything truly dangerous recently, which was definitely a good sign.

With a slight involuntary shudder at the ominous feeling as the sun goes down, Celia pays a bit closer attention to the area around them, feeling for it's nature.

Swallowing he says, "I just rembered stories that I had heard from some other more experienced treasure hunters....they say that this place is "unholy", but they would never get into specifics. I really think we should get out of her for now. If we want to know what's behind that locked door, I'd be more than happy to pick it after the sun has come up." He offers, a slightly nervous tremor to his voice as he starts to recall the stories he would hear.
GM Henry Fortuna |
"Goblins, orcs, the occasional dragon," the guard answers. "Nothing too strange, though I'm sure there's some of that out there."
"Well, there's that undead kingdom further east," the other guard says. "But they haven't done much...yet. We end up fighting a few strays, but it's been quiet for a while."
---
Glancing at the holy symbol, Roshan sees the name "R. Lazaro". As you talk, you see the bones in the room start to rise, not taking any particular shape, but as if they were simply marionettes being held by some invisible puppeteer. Debris flies against the walls, pushed by some unseen force. Celia believes that there might be poltergeists about.
Celia Ashimel. |
"He's right, we should leave, there are likely poltergeists, and whatever else here." Celia says.
The cleric quickly casts a spell, a shimmering field of divine energy springing up around them all.
