Chapter 7: To Forge The Future Combat Map
This is the
discussion
thread for
four
campaigns:
Male Dhampir Stormborn Sorcerer 5/Summoner 1/Archmage 1
Since I can't seem to post the roll on the Gameplay, I'll post it here.
EDIT: Never mind, it works now.
Female Human Magus (Bladebound) 3
Sorry busy weekend, had a guest.
M Human Oracle 1
I was running Skull and Shackles for my table group yesterday, sorry.
All quiet on the western front...
Male Dhampir Stormborn Sorcerer 5/Summoner 1/Archmage 1
Hmm.
Edit: I'm thinking..."rampaging dragon". *waves hand over horizon for emphasis*
Male Dhampir Stormborn Sorcerer 5/Summoner 1/Archmage 1
I couldn't help it. It just popped in there.
Ooh. Ghostbusters reference.

Sleeping Orc is sleeping...
Who we waiting on?
Aurelea. Who else is here?

3 of 6. Perhaps I need to rethink random encounters...or roll them myself from now on.

The orc has spoken...err, snored!

Anti-snore spray needed for Orc. A few tabletop campaigns ago, we had a PC get killed for snoring too loudly >.>
For what it's worth, I will probably not be able to post during the day on Friday. Morning maybe, late night perhaps.
Sorry if I'm just flinging story at y'all.

Tis good. The whole point of playing is the story.
There are a few who would disagree with that.

Not that I would EVER do such a thing to you, Henry :)
Oh, I was referring to those who derive obscene pleasure from campaigns that are strictly a series of combat encounters stringed together for no apparent reason.

I've had a few of those in the past; hack-and-slash is not my cup of tea. In my home campaign at the moment, we have spent the past 5 weeks in the same town without "progressing" the "main storyline." We have been instead quibbling with the locals over differences in etiquette, cheering-up a depressing sentient construct, and going to psuedo-war with a fruit vendor for refusing sale of a particular variety of apple. I would much rather do such things than to min/max my way to roll-play boredom.
Video games are much better for that sort of thing, I think.

In the Name of the King was actually one of his better films.
I can't say I've watched more than House of the Dead and Bloodrayne (perhaps a snippet of Alone in the Dark) by him. Those were enough though.
♀ Tiefling Spirit Ranger 14, Trickster Tier 4
Rampage was one of the only movies of his ive seen, didn't like Name of the King. and I think people tried to petition so that he would stop making movies. Could be BS though.

I heard Rampage was accidentally 'decent'.
Cyna, does your lack of posting in the gameplay thread mean you're just going straight to bed?
From what I know is that Boll's movies are funded by investors and thanks to the German government, if they perform poorly, investors get a tax write-off. So I think they're made bad on purpose.

@Skaar: Yes mostly that and working right now slow computer frequent calls and guests that sort of thing.

When it comes to movies, I'm not that hard to please. But when I saw In the Name of the King, I seriously considered asking for my money back. It's the only film I've seen to even make my think that. That's how much I hated it.

Skaar, you will one day get a job too. Making babies and welfare checks only go so far, and social security is a long way off for Orcs :)
♀ Tiefling Spirit Ranger 14, Trickster Tier 4
Anyone seen Iron Sky? That was a entertaining movie to watch.
My top hated movie of all time: The Doom Generation.
Part of me must have liked House of the Dead if I bought Dead Island for the PS3...
Iron Sky sounds a bit like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
♀ Tiefling Spirit Ranger 14, Trickster Tier 4
It's about Nazi's on the Moon.
It's one of those movies that bad but funny bad.

"Come see the violance inherent in the system! Help, help, I'm being repressed!"
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Besides, It's not a gaming session until someone quotes Monty Python
Hmm, I could turn these Eyes of Shiva into something unexpected...like the Spanish Inquisition!

In other news, has anyone watched the Dr. Who spinoff Torchwood?
Male Dhampir Stormborn Sorcerer 5/Summoner 1/Archmage 1
That was very entertaining, thanks Skaar.
I admit I don't watch much television or go out to movies nowadays. I really don't have much of a life :P

Well I mention it because it's kind of famous in the television world for handling LGBT characters fairly well and the main characters sleeping with everyone they run across.
I think I could see us being that party.
Ah. It's on Netflix so I might watch it eventually...after I finish My Little Pony. *stare*
