Frostine
Frostine laughs at Goldi's exclamation. She reaches down and rubbing Mr. Truffles head she says, "See....nothin to worry about. I knew she'd come along eventually."

Distracted by the scent of good food she nearly runs into Jettar, "Sorry sorry...but that just smells so good. I'm trying to get better about that clumsiness. Sometimes I just get distracted though."
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir
Coming up from belowdeck fully dressed and geared, Sigrdrífa strides into the galley following the scent of food.
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir
"Yes I did," she chuckles sitting down,"Though I see a few disappointed faces." she laughs.
Frostine
Frostine gets a moderate amount of everything, but again nibbles at it while intermittently giving Mr. Truffles pieces of bread with egg and meat. When her plate is about half empty she looks up at Jettar, "So....umm....you said before there were some questions you needed to ask me? You can go ahead and ask them now if you like." She smile before taking anotther small bite of eggs and bread.

Jettar Haroth
Jettar loaded his plate with as much as he could. Sitting across from Frostine, he murmured a blessing to Gozreh for the bounty of nature, and apologized for his lapse at last night's meal. Tossing all of the meat to Shadrath, the Fetchling dug into the bread and eggs, barehanded once more.
At Frostine's request, he cleared his throat, "Yes I did. The first thing I wish to know, is what other abilities do you possess? Beyond that which you have over ice of course."
Frostine
After taking some time to chew she swallows her food and takes a sip of water before looking back at Jettar, "By abilities....do you mean other magic type stuff, or just abilities in general? Or perhaps you mean magical as well as non magical. I'm sorry, I just want to make sure I'm understanding what you're asking." She smiles apologetically as she takes another small bite of food.
Frostine
She swallows her food and takes another drink of water, "Well, it won't take that long then. For the most part just the ice stuff...but I can do some small things that are pretty average I guess. If I try I can detect if an item has magical properties, I can read and understand magic in written form, and I can do this thing with colors where I can disorient or blind foes within a certain radius. Other than that...not much really. Oh, I can clean up stuff too and do small things like that. I believe it's called prestidigitation?"
Jettar Haroth
"I see. Well, we have two courses of action available to us at the moment. We can either go up on deck after this meal, or we can take a step back and try some exercises tomorrow. I leave that up to you."
Frostine
She takes another bite or two before putting her plate on the floor for Mr. Truffles to finish off. She finishes her water as she takes Goldi's hand and gives it a light squeeze before letting go.
Jettar Haroth
Taking that as a queue, Jettar got up, piled his plate with the other dirty ones, and went on deck. Moving over to the railing, he ripped a piece of his cloak, waved his hand over it dowsing it in water. Holding it out in front of him, the Druid said, "Alright, hear is the first thing I need you to chill this water on this scrap of cloth, but do not freeze it."
Frostine
Frostine follows Jettar over to the railing, and raises an eyebrow as he explains what he wants her to do.
Looking around she says, "Ummm...okay...maybe it would be best if you set the cloth down and then I touched it....just to be safe?"
Frostine
Taking a deep breath she touches a single finger to the cloth. Almost instantly frost spreads out from the center of the cloth. She quickly removes her finger and looks up at him. "See? That coulda been your fingers. I don't know if I can make something cold without freezing it. It almost always happens by accident and I can't seem to control it."
Jettar Haroth
"It's okay." He thinks for a minute. Breaking the frost off the cloth, he sets it down again, "Try this, hold your hand over it and envision something like a cold morning at home. But not cold enough to snow."
Frostine
She nods, "Okay I'll try...." Holding her hand just over the cloth, she closes her eyes and envisions a cold morning back home in Kaerndal. Not quite frosty, but a definite chill in the air. The kind of chill where you can see your breath when you wake up in the morning.
Slowly she feels a coldness rising from the cloth underneath her hand. Opening one eye she kind of squints at Jettar, "Did I do it?"
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir
As she finishes her breakfast and Jettar takes Frostine aside for her lesson, Sigrdrífa strolls around the deck, enjoying the chill sea air.
Goldilocks "Sugarsnap"
After breakfast Frostine is off practicing with her new friend. Sugarsnap and Truffles head on deck and truffles keeps watch while Sugarsnap starts to climb as far forward as she can and still be comfortable.
Once she finds a place she sits watching the sea and the waves. every so often she glances back to see if Frosty is alright. but as the minutes tick by, the glance become less and less frequent.

Awe....Goldi. Just remember, friends are friends, but you're her family and no one could ever replace you. She won't be at it all day long. *Huggles you*

"Yes I expected much the same," Sigrdrífa replies with a grin. "But great sagas aren't written by people who stay at home."
Sigrdrífa Helmsdottir
"Aye, or at least an aspiring one. I seek to find great tales like my father, and his father before him." she says with pride. "What brings you this far south only to head back north?"
Frostine
She looks at the cloth, a small smile on her lips, "Ahh yes...that's a lovely color." She looks up at Jettar, "Don't you think it's pretty? I once had a......" Catching herself she stops mid sentence, "It's nothing.....so, did you want me to do anything else right now? I can't do the color thing here....it might hurt someone and Id probably get in trouble."

"Well then here's to finding answers. A good tale takes all kinds, sodiers of fortune included." she says with a nod.
GM Henry Fortuna
Thorgr smiles. "You hoping to find a tale that surpasses the White Fangs of Grimmur?"

Heh
"I doubt that. I don't see anyone around here wrestling a linnorm into submisiion with one hand." she says laughing heartily. "But we already have an interesting bunch aboard so it's sure to get interesting."
Jettar Haroth
"Never doubt yourself Frostine. Remember, your magic will only grow stronger. And while there is beauty in it, fear can make it terrifying. Not just fear from others, but fear within yourself as well. That's why I've taken to helping you, so you do not fear it." Realizing that what he said probably didn't help, he added, "Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you. One last thing, can you change it back please. Then I think we're done for today."

Frostine
She nods and waves a hand over the material, changing it back to it's original color. She then turns and looks over the railing at the water, "I.....I try not to, and I know Goldi believes I can do this. She.....she's done a lot for me. I've spent the better part of my life being afraid. Of myself, of what I could do, of how I could hurt others.....but, Goldi has always been right there with me. She and her family are the only ones, up until now, that have even tried to help me understand it. Goldi is the reason that I have the little control over it that I do have. Everyone else either told me that it was wrong.....or.....just.....it doesn't matter anymore what any of them thought. I'm not there anymore, so it doesn't matter." Without realizing it, a slight frost starts to form on the railing as she grips it. Finally feeling the cold under her hand she stops and takes a breath. Closing her eyes she concentrates and removes the frost from the railing, hopefully before anyone notices. Looking at Jettar she says, "Thank you for trying to help me. I'll keep working on it and try to get better."

Lord Admiral Truffles
Truffles lying on the deck, unable to reach Sugarsnap, pops his head up. he starts sniffing around some, then meanders over to where Frosty was at the railing.
he he sit down looking at her...snort
When she looks down Truffles opens his mouth.
Frostine
She laughs a bit before leaning down to pet him, "Are you hungry again already? I'm sorry Mr. Truffles, but I don't think I have any snacks." She scratches him lovingly behind the ears.

Not really sure how long has actually passed since breakfast
She turns and looking back at Jettar she blushes slightly, "Thanks again, I think I need to go with Mr. Truffles now and check on Goldi."
She bends down to pet Truffles again, "C'mon Mr. Truffles, let's go see what she's up to." With that she heads off with Truffles to find Goldi.
Lord Admiral Truffles
Truffles trots off all excited, and stops at the doorway to the Galley. looking to frosty a little confused.
When frosty goes to find goldi truffles trots on behind her, making sure she goes the right direction.
Frostine
Frostine finds Goldi and approaches her, "Hey there....I think I'm done with that for today. Whatcha doin? I kinda think I've been spoiling Mr. Truffles too much...." She lowers her voice slightly, "He's wanting to go back to the galley already....but, I don't think I'm feeling that hungry yet. How bout you Goldi? Should we maybe see what the others are up to?"
