Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Trignotarbs

Nayce approaches the savant and cuts at it with his blade.

3rd shroud on savant. Blade from the Mist using 3 shrouds. 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30 vs AC. 2d12 + 13 ⇒ (4, 2) + 13 = 19 damage on a hit plus 3d8 + 15 ⇒ (3, 1, 6) + 15 = 25 shroud damage. On a miss, 2d8+10 shroud damage only.

TRIGNOTARBS

Nayce waits for the opportune moment, watching for his opening and learning the Savant's weakness before delivering a devastating blow. Dripping ichor, it loses control of its accummulated knowledge and a zone of mind-rending psychic tumult explodes around the insectoid.

Keeping her focus on Greeg, the Queen once more probes the goliath's weakness, hoping for an easier target.

Insight v Ref: 1d20+23=30. Success. Can attack Greeg v Ref to end her next turn

Succeeding, she hisses and claws at him again before easing herself away a little, aware that company is coming. She winces slightly as her attack is repaid in kind. Takes 5 damage from Greeg.

Mandibles v Ref

Cronin does what he can to support his allies, but his words make no difference to Kagash.

"I am a warrior and I will follow your example, oma. My brothers are succeeding, it is this one we must conquer."

For once Don's lightning reflexes desert him and his daggers cannot damage the diminished swarm.

Male Goliath Warden - Stoneblessed

Greeg reacted instinctively as the Queen tried to place some distance between herself and his hammer. His previous maneuvre had left him ready for such an eventuality. The hammer swirked in, striking her body but he was unsure as to how much pain he had caused her.

He followed this by stepping in to her and trying to slam his hammer into the chitinious body again, but to no avail. This creature seemed to have a strange effect on him, and it galled the great Warden to realise he may die without landing a solid blow on the Queen.

AoO Attack vs AC due to my previous attacks ability 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (12) + 17 = 29, Damage 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 Not sure if that hits, so reflected such in my description.

Standard action Mountain Hammer -Standard Melee 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (5) + 17 = 22 vs AC 2d10 + 8 ⇒ (4, 5) + 8 = 17 damage and target takes a -5 to hit penalty until end of my next turn. Pretty confident that misses and reflected such in my comments hehe.

Shift into combat with the queen and mark her as my target - move action and free action

Current state - HP = 73, Surges = 11.

Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Trignotarbs

If the triggering of the zone is an Immediate Reaction, I can take the rest of my turn. As part of that encounter power, I can shift my speed. I was forgoing that part because I wanted to be next to the Savant, but now I'm pretty sure I do not... If I can, shift to G4.

@Nayce, yes, it's an immediate reaction so you can shift.

@Greeg - quite right. They both miss. She has a tough carapace.

TRIGNOTARBS

Nayce ducks instinctively to avoid the damaging burst, while Greeg holds his ground and closes on the Queen again.

Not one to be bothered about which deity helps him, Cronin breaks free easily with the Raven Queen's aid.

Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Also, the Savant has no shrouds, and I am not set to take damage at the start of my turn. Was that reaction due to being bloodied, or is the Savant still unbloodied?

@ Nayce. Cut and paste error. The reaction was due to the Savant being bloodied. I even remember typing it, but clearly didn't save it properly.

Aedre hisses distressingly as the icy hand continues to clutch at her, putting pressue on her thorax and holding her in place. Contemptuously throwing off the restraint, she lunges at Kevaras once more.

"Well, this is a conundrum. Help Nayce with the whatever it is, or help Greeg with the Queen thingy. The whatever it is does seem to be in quite a bad way." Guldarin strokes his beard for a moment, then points his rod at the savant. "Blow him up, or maybe it's a her, I haven't had a chance to inspect closely enough yet and anyway insect gender isn't really something I know much about, I shalll have to ask Dram later. And send help to Greeg. Amy, the bear would like a lift. Yes, you can cuddle him if you wnat to, but he is allowed to swat you in return."

Hit the Weak Spot, targeting the Savant. 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26 vs Rex, 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (1, 7) + 9 = 17 radiant damage, any resistances the target has are reduced by 9 and any vulnerabilities are increased by 4 teomnt

TRIGNOTARBS

The Savant ducks aside from Guldarin's attack and pauses to correct the dwarf on its gender.

Don looks around, judging the situation. The swarm was too close to its momma for him to get in any good shots. The big one he might land another good hit on, that could be fun, but he wasn't sure of reprisal.

Greeg laughed as the queen looked ready to fly away. " Oh no you don't you great parasite! You stay and face my wrath eh!"

He swung his hammer in hard, aiming for the wing or at least some other vulnerable part that might slow the wasp so his companions could close with it. If this failed, he might be forced to throw his javelin at the damnable thing, and that was far less satisfying than smashing with his sparking hammer.

Weight of earth attack. Standard vs AC 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26. Damage if hits 1d10 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18

Male Dwarf Invoker/Divine Philosopher 14

"A hermaphrodite, eh. That always sounded to me as if it would be very confusing although it does work for lots of species of plant, not that those are exactly hermaphrodites, plants not being sexual creatures the way animals are, but it would seem to require lots of unnecessary bits of biology to make that work unless your whole species worked that way and I don't believe yours does." Guldarin pauses. "Certainly your Queen is female, and there are certainly some males among you, so that's so. By the way, are you dodging exceptionally or do I need a new pair of glasses?"

Move to J12
Hand of Radiance, vs savant, 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19 vs ref, 1d4 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 radiant damage

Turning his attention again to Aerdre, Andaros swings the dawnblade in an arcane pattern and icy crystals again swirl around the blade, as the Icy fist again seeks out it's target in the skittering death.

Attack Vs.Reflex

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17 Damage 2d8 + 14 ⇒ (8, 1) + 14 = 23 cold damage and target is held.

TRIGNOTARBS

Beleaguered as it is, the Savant cannot resist turning pompously to Guldarin.

"Our society is ancient and complex, but I will enlighten you. Our Queen lays many eggs of great virtue. It is from these alone that a Savant may develop. Most of our kind are born to serve and many are needed. We may all lay eggs and spawn larvae. As Savant, we may be permitted to fertilise our Queen if she honours us in the Great Devouring..."

The Savant's lecture is interrupted by its monarch.

"An honour you will never achieve if you do not kill these intruders!" she hisses.

Andaros - had to move you to get you within 10. Let me know if the new position is bad for you.

The eladrin emerges from the shadow of the nearby building and attempts to grab at Aedre once more. The attack is unavailing as the wounded Spider Queen ducks aside.

Her young shift and attempt to batter Kevaras once more, but it is futile. So few are their numbers that the attack does nothing.

Rolled a 2.

Kagash looks for guidance to Cronin, and decides to aid Kevaras. His scimitar swings, but disconcerted by Andaros's failed attack, his blade is less accurate than usual.

Would the fact Aedre is dazed change that action?

Missed that. It would. She'd use an AP and take OAs from Cronin and Don to get out of Dodge using a double move action for 16.

Male Human Rogue/Daggermaster 14

That's exactly the reason I dazed her, heh.

Seeing the spider hesitate, and start to retreat, Don growls, "No, No. You come back here and take your $*#*%-kicking like a giant spider!"

Aedre's panicky skittering takes her safely past Don and Cronin.

Andaros, unless you can get to within 10 squares of her, you can't reach her with Bigby's. I really hate to say that after you've rolled a crit :(

I expend a Daily Use of my Circlet of Arcane Extension which I use to boost the Grips range by 5 squares. Hopefully that and my move should get me close enough. I'm having a bit of trouble interpreting the latest map. I can't see where she is.
