Uh, wrong PbP for that buddy. Shows Burnwolf the door (to Limbo).

Lureene: Bring out the gnome.
Suny: Tha gnome's sleepin'.
Lureene: Well I guess you'll just wake 'em up now, won't you?

<insert diabolical laughter here> >:}

LMAO. The part of 'the Gimp' in tonight's play will be played by Straehan the Gnome. Great Pulp Fiction references FTW!

And the part of Mr. Wallace? Looks to see if Burnsten dares give chase into Limbo. Muwhahahahahaaaaa...

Lureene: He will have to wait his turn, he he

I did try, but I got the wrong turn in Albuquerque and ended up here again

Given his pugilistic proclivities and bald head... clearly Rath gets to play Butch! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! Zed's dead, baby.

Settle down children, can you guys focus on the zombits at hand for a few minutes???

Initiative:
Zombie 4:
Zombie 5:
Elorin
Gregor
Abbas
Biter
Alexis
Rath
Burnsten (delaying)
Pete

Rath stands guard of the Lady Alexis' posterior.

Burnsten summons back the ancestral warrior for another go at the swarm. He swings his massive sword and sends zombits flying. The remaining bunnies vanish back into the darkness (answer your questions well enough)?

Up next: Pete, Zombie 4, Zombie 5

MAP UPDATED

"So, is'ing we gonna go back in after undead things? Or trying to pull them out to us?"

Nazard wrote:

Naz, thanks for hookin' a brutha up! :) This is WAY better duty than embracing Brycen.

Round 3 actions

Spoiler:
Pete will hold his readied actions.

Nazard: Did we finally break-up and [effectively] destroy the swarm, or did it retreat?

If it's a matter of it being too dark to tell, then...

Alexis whispers to Elorin, "I'm casting light on one of your arrows. Fire it after the swarm so we can see if it is defeated. It would be better to finish it off now than to have it reform and attack us again later."

Alexis, Round 3:
Alexis casts light on one of Elorin's arrows.

You could always cast Light on me and I'll go in and get their attention! Hey, it worked on that first Beargle!

I'm just sayin'.

Somehow I question the wisdom of casting light on our stealthiest character. I suspect it would either end poorly for Biter or be self-defeating. ;)

Rath is already a human stop-light. He could try to lure out the baddies.

Human (Romandan)

Well you could put light on the ancestral warrior that already destroyed the swarm and is luring out the zombies

Only problem is we don't know for sure if it destroyed the swarm. It could be that something is controlling them and moved them away. We need a better look and unless you have 2-way communication with your summon the way you do with Tracant then I don't see that happening.

Swarm destroyed. Sorry if the fluff description wasn't clear. Technically, when a swarm is destroyed, not all the critters are killed, just broken up, so while there might be a stray zombit or two running around, by themselves, they aren't a threat.

OK, I wasn't 100% sure and so I didn't want to make an assumption about something this dangerous. Thanks! BTW, could you edit the left-hand nav bar to include links to the Skill and Language matrices like Navior did on his site?

"It looks like we've deal with that threat, let's see if we can take care of these zombies and see what's going on down here."

Alexis, round 3 (revised):
Alexis attacks the zombie that's in view.

Launch Bolt 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
dmg 1d8 ⇒ 3

Pete readies for zombies to attack you.

ROUND 4

Zombie 4 moves up to attack the ancestral warrior.
Zombie attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Zombie damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Zombie 5 re-emerges from the northeast corridor and slowly shuffles towards the warrior. Suddenly (for a zombie) it turns and moves towards Abbas. It doesn't quite get to him, though.

Up next: Elorin, Gregor, Abbas

MAP UPDATED

Biter- round 4:
Seeing that the threat of the zombie swarm is now dealt with, Biter gives LongEars a chance to fire his bow before he rushes in upon his newest prey.

Delay until after Elorin's turn, then move around the far side of the nearest zombie, to put me in position to flank him when someone can also close. Then attack (no rage). 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17; damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5.

Did Alexis get skipped last round, or am I too sleepy to know what round we're in?

Alexis, round 4:
If there are still zombies that are not in melee then she'll snipe using her prior attack roll (see round 3 revised above). Otherwise she'll hold off attacking in case there are any further surprises.

Male Elf Wizard (Admixture-Evoker) AC: 15/15/13 w/magic 23/15/20 Init:+9 Perc:+10 F:+7 R:+7 W+8

Round 4 Action:
Move up 25' between abbas and biter unslinging bow as I move. Ready an action to attack any creatures I see that are not Zombies LB atk without PBS 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 dam 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Well do we advance and take out these remaining Zombies to find out what is causing this mess Alexis? I am concerned about waiting, but I know many of our magical resources have been drained.

Alexis wrote:

"Let's take these out and then take stock of the situation down here so we can determine if we need to regroup or not."

"OKAY!"

Alexis Kirmoon wrote:

** spoiler omitted **

Too sleepy. Actually, I suspect you're just confused because for once, Alexis isn't at the bottom of the initiative order![/ooc]

Elorin advances.

Up next: Gregor, Abbas, Biter

Nazard wrote:

Actually, I should be up after Elorin becuase I've been delaying and waiting for an opportune moment, which I dictated to be after Elorin tried his hand at a bow-shot. That should re-insert me into the initiative order right before Gregor. :)

Technically, Elorin is readying to shoot his bow, not actually shooting it, but since Biter is delaying, he can go any time he wants.

Biter advances forward and slashes at zombie 5, taking out a huge chunk of fetid flesh.

Up next: Gregor, Abbas, Alexis

New Initiative:
Zombie 4
Zombie 5
Elorin (delaying)
Biter
Gregor
Abbas
Alexis
Rath
Burnsten (delaying)
Pete

"DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE FIIIIIEEEEEENNNNNNND!!!!!!! ... again."

Male Human Cleric 3

Round 4

actions:
Abbas will 5' step to the right and attack the zombie 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Round 4:

Actions:
Sacrificing one of his entangle spells, Gregor begins to summon nature's ally

Riding Dog: due to augmented summoning will have 17 hp and a +5 bite attack that deals 1d6+6 (plus trip)

Gregor begins casting his summoning spell. Just a note, James Jacobs stated on the messageboards that riding dog should just be dog on the summon monster and nature's ally lists. For some reason, that errata hasn't made it into the srd yet.

Abbas steps forward and swings at the zombie, missing wide.

Alexis holds off on her bolt launch as both zombies are too close to allies.

Up next: Rath, Burnsten, Ancestral Warrior, Pete

MAP UPDATED

Round 4:
Rath continues to play rear-guard and bodyguard until either Alexis requests otherwise or our folks look like they are about to be overwhelmed.

Alexis looks over her shoulder at Rath. "I'm going to stay here with Gregor and Pete if you want to go help them out."

Sick 'em boy! :)

Rath stays at the back with guard duty. Either he's been overcome with a sudden bout of cowardice, or Alexis' posterior is really impressive.

Up next: Burnsten, Ancestral Warrior, Pete

Naz, is it too late to change Rath's action since Alexis released him from duty?

Doooooooooo iiiiiiiiit!

Ravarath wrote:

Yeah, go for it. Conversation is an immediate action, so it can happen any time (or if you guys are to be believed, all the time with some sort of time-warping factored in so that entire conversations can occur over every six-second period).

Alexis catches Rath checking out her bottom during combat, scolds him, and sends him up to the front lines.

Well I'm not saying Alexis is perfect, but parts of her are pretty amazing...

Nazard wrote:

"Hey, eyes up here buddy! Nooo... further up!" >.>

Rath's smirks "Apologies Rajkumari... you are hm... 'poetry in motion' and I have a weakness for works of art." He bows like a courtier with a flourish and sprints off, "Coming, Mighty B!"

Round 4:
Rath does a double move which should put him somewhere in the vicinity of the Mighty Biter, and Abbas. Since he can't strike this round, he will get close enough to give the zombie another target to strike at.

A look of absolute glee spreads across the tiny warrior's gray-green features, "THE RATH-MAN COMETH!!!"

As Rath and Biter advance past the spot where the illusory wall is, they realize that they can see the rest of the party. The fake stone is gone.

Rath advances up beside the zombie.

Up next: Burnsten, Ancestral Warrior, Pete

Pete glances back at Alexis, and gives a sigh, coming from the bottom of his boots, it feels like.

At Rath's pronouncement and Pete's glance, Alexis gives a chagrined look, holds her hands palms-up, and shrugs her narrow shoulders as if to say, I got nuthin'!

OK, heading to bed now. NPC as needed — Justin has a good handle on Alexis' personality. FWIW, I'd like to see if the stealth mongers can scout some of these tunnels so we can make an educated guess if we can press on or if we've burned thru too many spells.

Human (Romandan)

"Yes! keep the eyes in a higher place I suppose" chuckles and advances

Round 4

Spoiler:

I'll move to help my ancestral warrior
if I can charge I'll do it since I still can't tell how many square I actually move (square = ? ft.)

1 square = 5 feet

Human (Romandan)

Ok! perfect! spank you very much... er... thank you very much, yes thank you

Ancestral Warrior
Round 4

Spoiler:

Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
