Round 2
The deep gnome moves up to the other window and jumps into the smoky room.

Round 1
At Damien's shout Vhillish scours the area above;
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
and scowls as he spots something:
"I see you, hooded blighter!"
The canny veteran brings his arbalest to bear on the distant target;
Ranged: MW Arbalest: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Hero Point re-roll of above: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Small Heavy Crossbow Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Edit: Realise the bolt may not actually hit the priest, but at the very least it'll keep him wary!
DM Grimmy
Jerrid chokes at the ghastly odor as he passes through the window but manages to fight off the sickness. The ghast by the window turns at the sound of Jerrid gagging, but too late. The deep gnome has vanished in the smoke.
Ghast perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Kevezyat seizes the door and bursts it open. Before her in the smoke is a ghast, squinting in the light let in through the now open door.
Vhillish's shot sails in through the curtained window in the steeple above and lodges in the orc priests eye. Tavik swoons, catching the curtain as he nearly falls over, bringing himself into plainer view from the courtyard below. Blood sprays out onto the white and gold curtain of Thyr's chapel, and soaks the priests own hood, making it a darker shade of crimson.
Tavik draws back the hood, revealing the glint of mail beneath the robes.
The priest clutches his holy symbol and incants.
Round 1 - Tavik
Hold Person on Vhillish.
DC 14 Will or paralyzed for 4 rounds.
Tavik withdraws from the window and out of sight from the ground below. 5' step
DM Grimmy
Round 2 - Janna
Janna checks the steeple to see if the priest can be seen.
No such luck. And everyone who goes near those windows is gagging and puking.
The breezy beauty quaffs a vial of anti-plague and tip toes quickly to the edge of the chapel, pressing herself against the wall by the window so close that the priest would have to lean out of the steeple above to get a view of her. Tipping her head to the side she peers into the smoke filled room. She hears the slathering vile creatures stumbling in the smoke, and feels comforted that her sneaky little companions will soon get the drop on them in such a confined space.
The first ghoul who steps in front of this window will get a jolt.
Janna Fort vs Sickened: 1d20 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 5 = 14 ok
DM Grimmy
Round 2 - Ghasts
The ghasts have not noticed Jerrid entering the chapel, just as they had not noticed Sam before him... but as the fallen one rises and Sam slashes out at it through the smoke, it snarls and hurls itself at him biting down hard... at air. Even with the incense from the candle lending it unholy strength the ghost is too slow to sink it's teeth into the spry halfling.
Bite: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 2 = 11
In the doorway, Kevezyat Fane paints a fearsome picture, a black silhouette framed by the morning's glow. The ghost before her snarls and rakes her with tooth and nail, infuriated by the sun let in through the open door.
Bite: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 2 = 25
Claw: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 = 21

Sam and Jerrid can hear the sounds of their recent traveling companion being eaten alive.

Round 2 Sam, effects smoke inspire
Sam's readied attack went off, he also gets an AoO when the undead creature rises.
Sam strikes as the creature rises with his magic dagger.
AoO dagger small: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 16
His dagger misses in the smoke. He steps to the very center of the room under Lannet, and tries to help his friend.
This puts him in a position to strike at the ghast facing the paladin at the ghast's back with his two daggers.
right hand dagger +1: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 = 10
miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 21
left hand dagger: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 2 + 1 - 2 = 24
miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 39
damage weapon: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
damage precision: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
Sam prays to Freya in what may be his final stand. He also declares his last will and testament: "I bequeath all my worldly items to the church of Freya!" Four dagger strikes, and only one hits, I must have been eating too much rich food. It is making me soft,
I think I was told I have one hero point left, so using if for a reroll is probably not a good idea.

Round 2 Effects: Inspire Courage/Arcane Shot
DC14 Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
As the priest's foul incantation attempts to render him with a malaise akin to rigour mortis, Vhillish resolutely shrugs off the magicks;
"Bounder! Blaggard! Have at ye!"
The veteran reloads with well versed efficiency (Move Action), raises his arbalest to shoulder, and with n'er a twitch of his 'taches readies to let fly with another shot:
Ready a shot when/if Tavik shows his ugly mugly...
Ranged: MW Arbalest: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Small Heavy Crossbow Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4

Round 2
Fort Save, DC 15: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Fort Save, DC 15: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Kevezyat pulls open the door, ignoring the resistance from the ghast within. Momentarily defenseless, the ghast scores with its claws and noisome maw, drawing a gasp from the paladin's lips. Cold, cold digs deep from where the undead touched Kevezyat, slowing her limbs, but her resolve and faith allow her to cast of the effects off the ghast's horrible magic.
Regrouping, Kevezyat takes a moment to place a hand over one of her wounds, allowing Freya's power to penetrate and knit the wound.
Swift action, Lay on hands: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Her hand then returns to the hilt of her holy sword, Valkyria, bringing it around in a flash to bear down on the abomination before her...
Attack,Power Attack Great Sword: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 - 1 = 8
But the quickness of the ghast proves it's mettle, dancing back at the last moment, her blow passing through the air at belly level.

Nice saves guys.
Sam's slash snaps a tendon and the ghast in the doorway turns from Kevezyat momentarily to shriek at the small figure appearing behind it in the smoke. It's rancid spittle splashes Sam's face, it's breath reeking of death and decay.

Round 2
Leoven finish his spell, and another earth elemental materialize ready to flank with Sam (in the up and right corner). The young priest then hurries to use his very last piece of magical power to cure the obsidian valkyrie of the party
Slam: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 1 + 2 = 281d6 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
DM Grimmy
I'm not sure but I think Sam's token got moved by accident. He should be beside the green ghast token, that is the one he hit already. Correct me if I'm wrong guys. But if that's true, the elemental may not be able to set up a flank, but with that damage he can kill one ghast if he targets the one Sam already hit (green).
Leoven.
If not flanking then -2 to the attack. Leoven still put the Elemental in the corner, so perhaps it draws the attention of the yellow and the light blue enemy

Sure can Deputy. By the time your initiative rolls around again, you essentially just take the same delay/ready action again. Though if it's a ready, you can even keep it up and reposition with a move action each round.

Round 2
The gnome goes for the creature in the doorway. His sickle slices down at the heel of the beast.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Then he steps back into the corner flanking with the elemental.

This time the attack is much higher, aimed at the stomach of the ghoul.

Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Round 3
Janna maintains her position peering in the window hoping to get a better view of those inside.
if the window is open, then ready action to blast with magic missile the first bad guy type she sees
If window is closed....see spoiler
Janna offers a short prayer for forgiveness and she grads a piece of rubble and smashes the window open.
Damien "Wet" Winters
You'll probably need to move up to the window to see anything Janna. With the smokestick you won't be able to make out anything further than 5ft away for a while yet.
Round 3
Seeing the unholy energy flash within the chapel, Damien shouts to the others while moving forward, "Look lively! We need these walking strips of jerky down now! Real threat's up stairs!"
Drawing his shortsword, Damien steps forward and drives it deep into the gut of the ghast assaulting Kev at the door.

Janna - The Storm Maiden
I though she was right next to a window?
DM Grimmy
I'm giving the ghast partial cover (-2) against Damien for attacking diagonally through the door (past a corner). Still hits, barely. 18 AC on these guys.
Janna is by a window, pressed to the wall so she can peer in. She'll get LOS to anything stepping in front of the window.
Damien Miss?: 1d100 ⇒ 82 ok
Damien's shortsword slides into the monstrosity's abdomen. Black guts spill out and the creatures eyes go wide but it hangs on to undeath by a thread. 2 hp remaining.
DM Grimmy
Round 3 - Ghasts
The ghast in the door slides back off the short-sword and struggles to get past Kevezyat to Damien in a rage. With the paladin in it's way, it lashes out at her with tooth and claw, eyeing Damien all the while.
Bite: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 2 = 15
Claw: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 = 17
Claw: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 + 2 = 16
Even with the added vigor from the unholy candle, the ghast is too distracted by it's rage towards Damien to cause any real trouble to Kevezyat. She easily deflects it's attacks.
Inside the chapel, at least one ghast is flummoxed by the appearance of the earth elemental, but the unholy hunger of the other creature keeps it's attention fixed on a victim with living earthly flesh... Jerrid!

round 3 continued
Janna, peering in through the window, the smoke obscuring nearly everything. she starts to mutter some curses about the smoke when she catches a movement.
she re-positions to ensure she isn't about fry someone important.
confirming what she saw, the figure lumbers unlike any of her companions. she is confident that it is one of those undead critters. the ones she was supposed to have learned about but failed that exam due to her getting caught up in a little "misunderstanding" with a local merchant.
with a silent prayer that she is making the right choice she lets fly 2 electrical arcs that bolt into the target.
magic missile damage: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 4) + 2 = 8

The three heroes outside the chapel doorway see hallmark electricity arcing through the smoke. A shriek from the target confirms to Janna that she has chosen well... followed by a thud as the creature falls to the chapel floor and stirs no more. Acrid burnt flesh wafts to Kevezyat's nose, a haphazard limb protruding from the smoke filled doorway to rest inches from her feet.

Kevezyat feels Leo's gentle touch on her shoulder and the warmth of Thyr's bleesing flow through her.
"My thanks, Leo." she says over her shoulder, turning to see her immediate foe dispatched by Damien's hammer and Janna's magic.
"We grow strong together, on this quest. May naught stand before us in our holy work." she thinks to herself before surging into the mist.
She moves straight forward until , two 'ghastly' forms emerge from the smoke...

Gathering her strength, her sword leaves swirls in the smoke as it passes violently through the air...
