I'm back! All my PBPs died/went on hiatus at once, so I haven't been paying attention. Then I got lost in a black hole of Dwarf Fortress. Also forgot that I was playing a cleric in this campaign.

Yes, Brute, this is what I was referring to. You rolled a 20 on me but then did a confirmation roll against Dasiji instead of me. I just applied the damage to me and Dasiji should ignore damage for that attack in Round 1.

Oh, ok, got it. The problem was that I had all of rolls down and then I added a roll for the crit confirm and that changed all of the rolls after it, shifting the results. I didn’t catch it. I was trying to get the post out before my wife got too grumpy with me for not coming to bed. My bad. :)

Hey Brute, I didn't do the math earlier but I assume I took damage in the surprise round based on flat-footed AC. I just remembered I have the Defensive Strategist trait. I should have made mention of this earlier but just wanted you to be aware.

Also Stonecunning gives my perception +2 for unusual stonework. Unfortunately it's a nuisance that they put the responsibility of this check on the DM. Was I not ever within 10' of any Goblin holes? Seems like something I might've been able to recognize being Dwarf and a goblin racist.

Dasiji drops one of the goons, Broot drops another.

Attack on Broot: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20, Crit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5, Crit: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Attack on Kort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5, miss

The third goon throws a bag at Kass.
Touch Attack on Kass: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10, misses, but when it hits the floor it bursts open. Small spiders start spreading over the floor. Kass takes 1 damage.

Kass, Kort, Noa! Then round 2.

then a couple posts later I filed an action for round 1 (a couple of missed claw swings):

Remember guys, a lot of this scenario is player driven. I can't really move the story along unless you guys attempt to do something.

Noa is suggesting we camp in the house.

She's willing to go looking for info, or the golem-maker, with Dasiji (or anyone else/more) going with her.

She wonders if the corpse has anything more to say.

If we agree to camp here in the house, we'll have to do something with the body. If only for sake of decency.

We can scatter and try diplomacy or Kn:Local singly or in pairs, and regroup in a bit?

@Broot: When you don't have a good Diplomacy bonus, it's generally safer to Aid Another. Then you don't have to worry about any possible negative consequences for rolling low. :)

@Noa: You have to roll to Aid Another. ;)
