Sorchan scowled at Grim. "You're right about one thing. It's none of your business," he snapped.

He sighed and rubbed his hand over his eyes. "I apologize for yelling. It's been a very long day. My people...if they cannot let go of the past it's going to kill us. And there are so very few of us left. In a choice between buildings and people I choose people every time."

"You two enjoy your evening then. I shall see you bright and early, Jaiye? I must decide how I want to style my hair for tonight as well."

Jaiye blushed a little, but didn't elaborate.

"Would you like some help with your hair? I used to help Ssrena with her hair sometimes so I know a little bit of how to do it," she offered. She seemed more cheerful than usual. Almost bouncy.

After hearing this Salis decided he should step in. "Excuse me I hate to interrupt, but I think that he may be right. I do not know about a temple, but I'm sure there is some sort of knowledge that is going to be left behind. The architecture of the buildings themselves hold a great deal of information about your people. If it is to be destroyed then anything that could hold knowledge sure in some way be preserved. Be it but stories, pictures, or writings." He paused for a second. "I too would like to accompany you to this Sun place so that I may save what might have been forgotten." His voice turned to a very humble tine as he asked this question.
"Firebirds keep immaculate records, which will be coming with them when they evacuate," he said stiffly. "The knowledge at least will be preserved. Look, it's one thing to take the Avatar up there. People can understand that. But you? No. I can't justify it. Even if you could bear the intense heat."

grim can connect two and two and realizes that this applies to him as well, he appears to be thinking of a way to convince him otherwise, what did mom say to do in situation like this, 'look for what they want, if that fails, look to what they have that they would do anything to keep,' the only thing I can think of is his kids... no just no, he pauses

edit "ah... I'm sorry for saying that it was unfair, I um.. I shouldn't speak without knowing the whole story..." he scuffs his shoes in that embarrassed kid way

Fei gently squeezes her hand. "It is safe - my energy levels are very low at the moment."

"I am sorry for that, Vai. I am glad you and your mother are alright. And that no one here was harmed," he adds, looking at the Infirmary curtain around him.

Vare, the Summoner wrote:

"I have a spell that should help us to discern if it is truly a psychic ability. I suspect, however, that you are correct in your estimations: with the amount of magic present in the school, if no one has noticed his ability before - the Headmaster included - then I doubt a simple spell like mine will reveal any details. Still, it does not hurt to double check these things." Vare nods.

"Rena, if you would like to go with Miss Anahita in her search for birds, then I shall attend to making our supper. Perhaps after dinner we can seek to help this pariah further, if he wills and that pleases you, Miss Anahita."

Anahita frowns a moment, then states, "You seem --or I, did not make myself clear. I am rather surprised no one has bothered, apparently, to assist him. Not that no one's noticed. It didn't take me very long to sort out a suspicion, and that was without much magic use at all. Hence my disappointment thus far. Which spell is this you speak of, curiously?"

Then, looking over at Rena, Anahita says, "Curiously, do you share an affinity with animals, your size and such might throw them off, no offense. Though, again, I'm uncertain of whether you can magically change appearance. I merely sought to know if, given your wings, you may have known where other winged creatures might have been, or lurked."

Then glancing back at Vare she smiled faintly and adds, "How long did you need to prepare, and where shall we meet again?"

"Ano.." she stumbles over her words for a moment, before noticing that Hew-kun's nose was bleeding. That alarmed her greatly. "Ano! Hew-kun! Your nose is bleeding! Are you okay? You're not having a backlash are you?" She said, trying to ignore whatever hard thing Hew-kun had in his pocket. After a moment she rolls off of him and fishes for her first aid supplies, a cloth to clean Hew-kun's face up.

As Midori is looking of a cloth Hew grasps his nose, trying to cutoff the flow. The rose tint upon her cheeks told him she new he called her pretty. "No I don't think I'm having a backlash." He looked down to his pants to see why they were shrinking. When he saw the tent he understood why. "I-I should go." He said as he slipped his other hand over his crotch trying to cover his manhood.

People had been staring at the two in the hall way some laughing at the two others making comments on how cute.

"I would say two hours or thereabouts. Let us meet in the school's entrance hall." Vare says decisively, before saying more softly: "What is past is just that though. If we can help this young man, perhaps we may yet ease his suffering. What others do - or do not do - should not be our concern. They may have reasons, or perhaps conditions have changed recently. Either way, all we can do now is help him." Vare says sagely. He ducks slightly at nothing, then seems to attempt to wave something away.

Rena perks up at this, gliding smoothly over to Vare, her voice sounding concerned. "Are you sure you don't want me to stay Inside? I can help to keep them at bay."

"No, no. Please Rena, I will be fine, they cannot truly hurt me anyway. Enjoy yourself." Vare responds. "As far as the spell Anahita, it is simply one which allows me to more clearly read magical auras, including those which spellcasters, psychics and those with natural abilities of those kind naturally exude. It may at least eliminate possibilities."

Rena nods at the mention of her wings, and once again preens them slightly before turning her attention back to Anahita. There's a sense that Rena is probably not used to dealing with people other than Vare. "My instincts may be able to tell me where they would locate themselves, but you are right. Animals will find my appearance disturbing." she sighs, a little despondantly at that. "Perhaps it would be best if I stayed with Vare."

"Okay, Hew-kun. I don't really being the center of attention like this anyway." she responds quietly, looking around at their onlookers. So many strangers looking at her made her nervous. She takes his hand and stands with his help, wondering why his pants were wierdly shaped. Fabric doesn't fall that way normally. She doesn't say anything though, as Hew-kun appeared to be trying to cover it.

Hew lead them to a empty classroom that was near by. Upon first glance the room looked like a science room. Sinks and equipment was spread around the room. Hew walked over to a sink and washed his hands and face. I don't know why I even said this idea. What am I suppose to say. I've already made myself look like a fool. He turned around. "I'm sorry Midori I've just made your day hard. I even caused people to laugh at you for being around me. If you don't want to be around me anymore I understand." He shook his head disappointed in himself. He hasn't been able to control himself this whole day. Maybe he shouldn't have taken back over. Things wouldn't have gone so wrong.

"I do not know the laws of your people but I doubt they hold true any more. If you feel it would be disrespectful for me to step upon the Sun so be it. I understand that much of your people's history and knowledge has been taken off the Sun already. People miss small and ancient things that could be important however. I am a scholar and gathering this knowledge is what I do. As for could I stand the heat, I do not know I would be willing to try. I will abide with your decision. What ever it maybe about this." Salis nods to him and takes a step back. He hoped Lang could go at least. If he wasn't allowed to search for what is left maybe Lang would.

"I think it would be immensely disrespectful at an already trying time. And I doubt you could survive it easily."

"Oh. That does look fantastic. Thank you Jaiye. I should probably hurry though, since Ghalen has been waiting outside for at least fifteen minutes now." She says a little guiltily. "He didn't say it, but he was worried about my honour, and so stayed out." she said that just a little dreamily... which is very odd for Tyrrin.

"Sounds like your kind of guy. Have fun, Tyrrin. I mean it," she said, the twinkle in her eyes contradicting the sternness of her tone.

"Alright... Now, who is your dad or you mom? I'm going to go ask him or her a question."

"My mom is named Pyra and my dad is named Sorchan." She giggled. "It's weird saying my parents' names. They're just Mom and Dad."
