Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

"What kind of attention?" she asked confused. "I just told her the truth. That a classmate of mine said that there might be a way for me to watch without having to interact with the crowds."

"It really is an ingenious invention. I will have to remember to thank Professor Rosa later. I am not usually able to attend group actiities."

"This music is fascinatingly bad. It is melodic enough but those sounds simply do not go together."

male human monk 16

ohh the kind of attention when you meet someone from a big family and i just kind of figured that since you had so many sisters they might all want to who you are hanging out with, thats all I didn't really mean anything by it.

Lang thinks a moment
I remember when I first was to be a student to Master Hito back at the temple, My mother probably asked him a million questions, and of course she insited he meet my gandmother, all she did was sit there and stare at him, I think she gave him the evil eye or somthing because everytime she showed up he would just shiver and look the other way

Lang looks over at Ignace's snacks and noticing his out bag empty

I was kind of wondering what that stuff tastes like I know you Firebirds like it and all but do you think I could try it?

Image

"You are welcome to share my snack....but human and firebird physiology is different. I am told that humans often find our food unpleasant tasting and vice versa," she said, holding out the bag of burnt sugar crisps so he could take one.

male human monk 16

Lang takes a piece and pops it in his mouth

the taste is something never experienced before. its burnt, it should be sweet and has a very bad after taste that may never go away.

Lang just smiles at Ignace trying to pretend how great it is.

bluff: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

his face soon turning various shades of red then green.

Tastes really good he tries to convince himself as well as Ignace but after a few moments he turns away looking for a place to spit it out.

He quickly reaches behind him and grabs Sun's candy bag and spits it into the bad.

It was so good I wanted to save it for later so I can enjoy it again and again

Baboon

Sun totally unexpeting the what has just happened looks in astonishment then grads back his bag.

That is my candy bag remember. you didn't want it.

Sun loks in the bag forgetting Lang jsut spit the firebird candy into it.

Ohh look a new piece of candy

He grabs it and puts it in his mouth then in seconds spits it out what kind of joke is this?

male human monk 16

Lang looks to Ignace

seems it's also unpleasant to baboons as well

indicating Sun

Ignace giggled.

This is a very difficult thing to accomplish. She rarely smiles, let alone laughs. A giggle is nearly unheard of. :)

Ardiente, even with all his creativity, could not find a way to dance to this. It was somehow more painful to listen to than Rocks Fall. "Would you like to take a break?" he asks of Tamina. He was only sweating slightly, despite the rather complicated dancing the pair had been doing.

Male Elf Bard 14/Sorcerer (Maestro) 14

Dancing in this slightly inebriated state was great. Ehos hadn't thought once about how if his scarf came off he would likely kill everyone around him. Instead he was focusing on his dancing. Magic was flowing out of him to those around him.

Inspire Competence in Preform (Dance) +5 as a bardic dance.

Ehos suddenly loses his balance, tripping and crashing into a pair of girls dancing.

He immediately fishes for his datapad, bringing it out. 'Sorry. A bit drunk.' he displays to Sadie and Morrivan.

"Yeah, I think now is a good time to go get some refreshments and hope someone puts these guys out of their misery soon," she laughed.

Upon seeing Ehos slip and fall from her stance near the doorway, Anahita frowns a touch and walks on over purposefully, concern on her features.

"Are you well, Ehos?" She reaches down with a slight squat, to assist him up while rising herself. Her hand is firm, with what appears to be an effortless act in raising him to his feet- holding him by the upper arm to provide balance as well.

Then her face smiles while studying his features, and the drink in his hand which mirrors her own. "I see you enjoy the drink as well. It is rather ..tasty."

She sips some more, helping him keep balance.

"It's okay, Ehos," Sadie said. She was going to help him up, but another girl beat her to it. She shrugged and went back to dancing with Morrivan, who was in her opinion a lot more interesting than Ehos right now.

"Well, they kinda had to go with who was left and still together. The concerts towards the end of the year are way better. But FAIN is good. And I think there's only one more band before them."

My training has reached an advanced enough stage that I am being permitted a break." Ardiente takes a sip of the punch. Blech! Sugar water. He makes a face. She sips some more, helping him keep balance.

'It is quite... potent. As I said. I am surprised you are managing as well as you are.' the datapad is having some trouble keeping up with Ehos' brainwaves. Or perhaps it is merely Ehos himself having trouble stringing together coherent thoughts. Either way, the words are slow to come up on the screen. 'Thanks for the help.' he says as he sways slightly again.

The blond-haired elf looks like he's focusing intensely. His blue eyes locked on some distant point. The gaudy but easy-moving outfit he is wearing is very reminiscent of minstrels Anahita has met in the past. Clothing designed to attract attention. An odd paradox, given Ehos' generally withdrawn nature. Perhaps simply a relic of his former life. Several other pouches and pockets adorn the clothing, including a rather large one in which he had been storing the datapad.

Seemingly satisfied that his balance has returned to normal, (it's only a slight improvement. Anahita is still correcting him occasionally) Ehos turns to face the young woman supporting him. On a drunken impulse, he displays. 'You are exquisitely beautiful.'

Female Human Teenager

Even though very dark skinned, or perhaps merely very tanned, the flush that rushes to her features is coupled with a quick downward glance before she rises up her face to peer back at his eyes.

"You are too kind, Ehos. My thanks for your compliment. Let me help you stay straight, lest you fall." She continues to support him, her grip is not immense, but when and where she holds him, is mightily done so.

Her arm moves somewhat quickly after saying such, and slips properly through his, not quite a grapple move, but one that allows him to lean on her, and her to guide him while he chooses to do so.

While the blushing fades slowly away, her thoughts, chaotic and tumbling, zipping this way and that, silently without being spoken, she peers away standing near the others in her support of Ehos.

She sips more of her second drink, it's merely 3/4ths full now. The sweetness of the drink, mixed with that other oddity of taste, gives her expression one of curiosity and pleasure.

She does at some point, however, look over at Ehos and his outfit, though not letting her gaze linger too long on any one particular detail, back up to his face and such.

>> I've never been this way, nor this close, with an Elf before. He is very kind, and generous in his praise. I've no idea what to do here. I think he is enamored of me, and so quickly! What did I do to deserve this? And my own reactions .. mmm. What has happened to me? And so quickly I have changed. I am lost, yet fear it not. <<

An impressive and warm smile comes over her while she stands between all the others, realization suddenly dawning on her, they were all her age, or there about, human or not. Peers, in some manner or another, if by that alone, she finally felt the connection never known to her before.

Male Elf Bard 14/Sorcerer (Maestro) 14

It seems Ehos thinks he was just stating a fact, as he turns back to face the stage, unaware of the turmoil he has caused in his companion. The dance floor had rapidly evacuated thanks to the most recent band's yowling. He feels very stable with Anahita's arm looped through his. Her hands are strong and sure, yet somehow tender as well. 'Thank you again, though you do not need to thank me for being honest.'

'I probably shouldn't have any more.' The datapad is still a little disjointed, though it seems to be smoothing out. Perhaps it is self-correcting, or Ehos is simply sobering up. The latter doesn't seem nearly as likely, given that the cup in his other hand is now empty, and his need for support has only increased while the pair have been standing here.

Just my luck, can't even get the girl drunk cause she's a DRUID and immune to poison. Mumble grumble mumble.

;D

Female Human Teenager

Ehos:
Sorry! It's not a choice in her part.

"Would you prefer to sit, or are you okay?" Her eyes flash over his face and her color dims as he speaks of honesty, perhaps the explanation helping to clear things and soothe her mind.

She offers to guide him elsewhere, otherwise, indeed, she seems to have smooth warm skin, no roughness to the flesh. Her nails are somewhat short, though definitely not the type that has visited a beauty parlor, if such exists /here/.

With a few glances around as if to gauge her options, or more importantly, Ehos' capacity to remain standing, she looks for some tables- and then peers for the exit to the garden. At the very worst, if he did get too ill, he would be among nature.

Looking around at the ladies near her, Anahita smiles warmly and nods a bit politely as well, keeping her arm laced with Ehos', guiding him towards the exit out.

If Ehos Does Not Resist:
Assuming he does. Heh.

"If you wish water, I can provide such as well. I am concerned this music and your drinking may have ..affected you." Almost motherly, but not, more the dutiful and caring nurse it appears.

Before long, they are just outside, where the fresh(er) air blows by quietly. If he does not resist, she helps him sit, and sits near him, sideways with her legs, watching to make sure he is well.

>> Ah, he was merely being honest. For a moment there.. << She does not frown or seem cross at the thought, on her features, but rather, back to her default calm expression, studying his eyes and face. She does take another sip from her own drink though, oblivious to the alcohol that runs through is veins.

If Ehos Does Resist:
If he does, and wishes to merely remain, then Anahita continues to support him and lend her strength, sipping her own drink while politely, and quietly, gazing upon others and keeping Ehos' in sight.

Heh. Choose your own adventure!

Dom had been treating small injuries for quiet awhile. Finally he had time to rest the music that had been playing was ok but not anything he had been hoping for. He stepped out a door way that lead out side. He left the cool air flow across his face. It felt good, but so much bending was starting to wear him out.

Everything here was new to him. The anger the thought he could actually create meaningful relationships. On the road he would only ever have a friends for a week or less. Even the so called girlfriends he had gained would have lasted the amount. Having to leave behind everyone that he had grown close to each time he left with his family. So was the life of a traveling bard, but here the people around him he would know for a while at least till they graduate.

He sighed as he gazed out over the gardens. Memories of his travels wear being compared to everything that had happened today. He still wondered if he was meant to be here. It wasn't like he would amount to anything great, he was only a bard, and many of the other students he had met were nobility or would be great generals. Why was he here, he would never make a great warrior or be counted as a valued member of a court. He would only be invited in to a court for playing a songs for the king.

'I think sitting is the right choice.' he displays, allowing her to guide him out into the gardens. They find a pleasant hillside near the exit and sit, overlooking the majority of the gardens as well as the last vestiges of the sunset. Ehos suddenly feels very self-conscious as Anahita tends to him. Embarrassed even, by his lack of control. He shifts uncomfortably on the grass. 'A glass of water would be wise I think.' he responds sheepishly. 'I apologize for being a burden. If you wish to return to the dance, please do. I will be fine in a moment.'

Tyrrin had returned to her elf form, and was taking time to sit with Jaiye and Wyrd, enjoying a late supper. There was only a few things left to calibrate. Most of the equipment was setup, and faster than she had thought. Wyrd and Jaiye had assisted her in setting up the computer banks, and the system had turned on successfully without draining the school of power. All, it seems, had gone well. Tyrrin decides to reward herself and the party with a little frivolity. She focuses on the open sky she can see through the gap in the tower, and splays her hands wide.

The Half-Alive Streets | Truth of the Seeker | The Sanctuary of Drowned Delight

Very suddenly, in the twilit sky above Avalon, a beautiful green and red aurora leaps into existence, covering the sky with a radiant, mystical glow. The patterns dance and shift and twist in very beautiful ways, casting an eerie yet enchanting light across the landscape of Avalon.

Dalesman:

If the Harbinger is in orbit, they can probably tell that something is directly interfering with the planet's magnetic field.

Ehos' attention instantly goes to the sky, calmly observing his sister's work. He had seen her do it enough times to not be alarmed by the sudden appearance of the aurora. He gives an assuring look to Anahita if she appears to be alarmed

Female Human Teenager

Watching Ehos' attention turn skyward, Anahita does the same. Her immediate expression is curiosity (seems the default, given the newness of nearly everything so far) and puzzlement.

"Is that common?" She inquires of Ehos. She goes to sit down as well, reaching for his cup and taking it from him gently. If he resists at all, or not, she gives him a playful smile and says, "You asked for water, I shall provide. If you wish more, I will provide." An intonation and gesture later, giving clear indication to any knowledgeable spell caster, she casts create water, a low level divine orison. His cup fills with clear, clean, water.

She then, just as casual as you please, turns to look up and enjoy the aurora in the sky, with the same sort of curiosity as before, though as time passes, still sitting there sideways, propped up on her left elbow, her expression turns more and more to the calm mixed in with enjoyment.

It's clear she's not thinking anything, simply being present to the moment and majesty of the sky's illumination.

"Is there anything in particular you would like to see?" Vai inquires, though she knows it's probably unnecessary. This calm was exactly what Fei enjoyed.

'Not quite so common.' Ehos displays with a touch of wonder himself. Tyrrin must be a really good mood. He was gripping his empty cup fiercely when Anahita tugs at it. He lets go after she playfully chastises him, smiling stupidly behind the scarf. 'Thank you for the water.' he pulls the scarf down to drink the cool, crisp water, and Anahita catches the smile.

Time passes as the pair sit outside in silence, and Ehos' eyes eventually wander from the spectacle above to Anahita's form beside him. He can't help but examine her curves once again, despite the loose fitting clothing. He shakes his head and splashes the remainder of the cup of water across his face, hoping to sober up. He respected her too much to make a move. There was something about her... she wasn't just another barmaid.

Ardiente was getting increasingly antsy to see FAIN. This was the last band before them though. He wondered if Raelle still remembered her promise to introduce him... but she was fawning over David. He didn't want to be too close to that. It was... unsettling, to say the least. That was the old ways though. The old way of thinking. He had to put those feelings aside. He should probably get some air. "Would you like to join me outside, Tamina?" he offers his arm.
