"Spin, I...appreciate the apology," she said, miserably. "It doesn't fix anything, but it was the right thing to do."
She carefully looked anywhere but at him. "Your...joke....just hit a little too close to the truth."
"It's not something you have to worry about. It's my problem. I'll deal with it," she added, dully.
He looks back at the dejected girl, "Well, I'm sorry." Not knowing what else to do or say, and feeling horrible about how his joke made her feel, he walks back into the class-room.
"See you guys back in class." he mutters
Telpathically to Spin:
"Hey, Amada, would you mind walking over to the library with me? I don't really think I can handle going back to class right now, and I'm sure I don't want to deal with Mom just yet."
After "Intro to Agartha", Krays tries to get Lysander's attention
"May we speak privately?"
"How many do you think are going to come back after ten minutes of thinking you're crazy?" Keaton asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Honestly, most of them. It's just my daughter and her friends I'm not so sure about. I'm starting to feel bad about insisting that she come back to school this term."
Spin stops in his tracks, and the look on his face as he turns to regard Ephebe would be comical if he weren't so serious. 'Stunned disbelief' somehow falls short, and you're pretty sure he's going to have to clean floor-grime off his jaw.

Asch remains quiet for a moment. "If you need anything Baby send me a message and you know I'll be there in an instant." He says as he gives her a kiss and a hug and heads back towards class.
"You ok?" Asch asks seriously when he walks by and sees Spin's dumbfounded look.
Moves off to the side an motions for him to follow
"I have only been made aware of hunters in the last day cycle or so. I do not understand who or what a hunter is, and would like to know more."
He slumps his shoulders a bit
"I don't know why there is conflict here among you and Ephebe, and I wish to understand it for several reasons. But...first and foremost, I..Owe...you an apology. I don't know if you heard what I said to you after the assembly was over or not, but it was uncalled for. It seems you're not necissarily hostile, just you have little ones you look after. My clan is lost to me, so I can somewhat understand your behavior..."
Looks to see what reaction he's getting from him before he continues

Obviously appreciative for the question, but not wanting to repeat his earlier mistake of blurting out Ephebe's business, Spin just shakes his head in wonder.
"Geez. Let's talk about this later…" It's obvious that something is jarred loose (at least momentarily) in Spin's brain.
"Who's the new....." Asch starts to ask and then the hunger explodes within him like a ton of bricks exposing him as an undead. "Who are you!" He asks as the familiar pain starts in his mouth as his jaws are forced open by elongating fangs.
"Honestly, most of them. It's just my daughter and her friends I'm not so sure about. "Asch! Get it under control!" she snapped. "Mr. Antairus is here as a guest teacher."
Jiminy pauses as he hears an ominous gurgle then shrugs and continues working.
The new student enters the classroom for his 'Introduction to Agartha' class, quietly passing by Krays and Lysander as they are leaving/conversing.
Asch's fingernails cut deep into his palm as he shakes.
"I...I"ll try..."
Spin, being ripped from his stupor by Asch's out-cry, steps up next to his friend, ready for anything. He eyes the dark-clad man warily, whispering out of the side of his mouth, "what's goin' on, Asch?"

"Yes, well, I can probably arrange something.. my brother keeps so many secrets he should't, so why can't we?" He says with a sly grin. "Besides, I must do something to ensure you keep working on my serum."

He moves his cape out of the way so it is not in the way of his cane as he twirls it. "Besides, it's be awhile since I've got any real excitement."
"Un...undead." He manages to say as his shaking lessens slightly. "I...I think..I'll be ok." He says as he glares at the vampire.

Lysander's eyes look sad, though his face reveals nothing.
"You are either born a Hunter or become one when you marry. From that point on you are trained in your clan's style. This can be anything from magical espionage to army warfare. One thing is for sure though, sooner or later you can a sixth sense of sorts. Other than that, we usually have a network that gathers information."
"Un...undead." He manages to say as his shaking lessens slightly. "I...I think..I'll be ok." He says as he glares at the vampire.
"Come now boy, I can smell your cut palms from here. I assure you I can't be hurt badly." He says with a grin that shows of his own fangs.
Amada gladly goes to the library with her. "Sure, I'd love to."
