Cannot get a single high die roll to save my life today. Ridiculous.... >.<
Ephebe |
She smirked.
"Not at all, I was just trying to think of what I would do if I were trying to destroy the world, embrace my not so inner bad guy so to speak."
"And if you were actually bored, we'd all know it, wouldn't we?"
Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |
Jiminy looked back and forth between Ephebe and the armored figure, trying to figure out what the heck was happening. He wasn't even sure if Ephebe knew. She was good at faking like she knew everything.

The troublemaker's stop, flinching and beginning to cower from the room shaking and the loud command, but then they stand straight again and grin. Their eyes looks strange, pupils overly dilated. The jackal rushes Fei while the crocodile heads for Enre, completely disregarding their own safety.

"That's supposed to mean something, I guess?" He asks as he begins to walk toward Ephebe. "Are you sure you aren't confusing me with someone?"
"Aww, too bad, you noticed I was fishing," she said with a disconcerting giggle.
She moves too quickly to see, appearing again behind the armored person.
Touch:1d20 + 20 ⇒ (10) + 20 = 30
If that works, DC 24 Fort save or be removed from time for 8 rds.

Enre growls after the Crocodile bites him. He places his sword to his face , while doing this the blade seems to go sharper, he than unleashes an attack on the Crocodile.

Fei, of the Sun Soul |
Fei is able to avoid the jackal's clawed hands, but he underestimates the speed of his opponent by a fraction, and pays for it as the jaws connect.
Flinching slightly as the kinetic force of the jackal's attack is transferred into him, the young monk responds in the only way these creatures seem to understand.

Fei, of the Sun Soul |
Even with his damage reduction against a non-silver weapon, the crocodile is seriously wounded. The jackal on the other hand is only slowed down a little by Fei's blows. But neither of them appears to feel any pain at all.
Hm.
Realizing that he needs time if he is going to be able to deal with any more deranged lycanthropes, Fei switches tactics and goes for the one thing the jackal needs more than anything to keep fighting - his air supply.
Roll to initiate a grapple (utilizing greater grapple in Stone Oni Stance)
1d20 + 29 ⇒ (20) + 29 = 49

Fei, of the Sun Soul |
The jackal squirmed and clawed, trying and failing to get free of Fei's grasp.
Fei flows around the Jackal's mad attacks like water, then solidifies his hold and grapples his opponent by the neck. He immediately brings the full pressure his strength allows to bear, shutting off his windpipe and trying to cause him to black out.
Pin damage (nonlethal): 1d10 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Fort DC28 for the Jackal to remain conscious.
Khassar Blackadder |
Feeling that the pulse was unusal even for this place, Khassar retrieves his armor and khopesh out of his portable hole and gears up. He asks the walls to show him where he is needed most.
Appearing intially confused it points him in two differnt directions.
Noticing that both trails are different colors, Khassar flips a coin and ends up heading toward the door.
"Oh, they gave it shinies and everything. Yep, its a trap. Here we go walking into it." Khassar says as he knocks on the door.
Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |
"Phebes...I think the statues are lighting up when people use their abilities....and something out there is going very wrong."

"Love the new look, Time. Really, it's long past time you decided to embrace your inner villain."

"Jim" Rivets |
How large are the statues, and how large are the mini-walls of force surrounding them?
Jim will inspect any devices that are being used to maintain the walls of force.
Whatever happens, if we get past these walls, we may be able to take the statues, and possibly stop whatever's going on.

The crocodile is staggered but still standing. He tries to bite at Enre, but his balance seems to be off and he snaps at the air instead.

Gustav Stonecutter |
Vai is busy eating a large plate of food. She's seated near the corner, away from the crowds. She doesn't notice as Krays enters, and looks exhausted.
Gustav noticed the blonde from the previous day and sat down next to her. "I have mixed reactions." he began without preamble. "The history and sciences here are adequate, but I have serious doubts about the philosophies and less concrete topics." Gustav looked at Vai to judge her reaction.
"Jim" Rivets |
Jim opens his chest, and a small trunk pos out, with arms waving about. as it turns around, it snaps to attention, and once it has received mental commands from Jim, it runs off. Commanding it to stay with Ephebe

Crap. I forgot to post that I was going to try and pick up Cure potions and such for my packmate, so I could be a real ambulance.
Krays |
Sees Gustav and heads over, nodding in hello to Vai.
"You...you're not under attack?" he says, suprised.
Ephebe |
Um, you realize that this room is lined with walls of force, yes? I'm not making this easy for you.
EDIT: This post is for Ephebe, who is trying to talk through them, not Jim.
Well, she figured it out pretty quick when she walked right into one...was giving you credit for having hidden them a little bit inside the walls for just that effect. :P
"Owww."
"Well, that was...thorough of them."
Vai Emkar |
Vai flinches away from Gustav when he first sits down, almost standing in her surprise. Then she recognizes Gustav and sits back down, relaxing slightly. "I don't really have any philosophy classes, so I'm not sure what you mean. Gustav right?" Vai is clearly uncomfortable with how close Gustav is to her, but she's willfully not making a move away.
Agarthian Storyteller |
Hairline fractures appear in the wall of force Jim punches and the wrench glows a little brighter from his efforts.
So 8 rounds = 48 seconds. Looking around and talking and snapping(at Keme) seems like it would take that time up pretty quick. Also, I didn't hide them, you could see the walls when Jiminy opened the door.
"We knew who we would have to work with." The mystery man says as he pops back into time. "I bet you thought we didn't have a Champion on our side too, did you?"
"Jim" Rivets |
Who, what? Champions? you can hear Jim say as he continues attacking the wall of force.

Alton Keme de Eil |
There does not appear to be any pattern in the way the statues are set up. The cracks from Jim's punches are getting a little bigger though.
A floating screen appears in the room, flickering a bit before Alton appears on it.
"Knowledge, Keme. That includes the knowledge of how to hide a Champion aura." He says with a warm smile. "It's been really useful, knowing all that I do."
Wall of Force: 67 points of damage so far.

"I'm not that forgettable, am I?" Gustav joked with Vai. Hearing Krays, he said "You were the warning? But everything's fine here." Gustav pointed out all the students in the cafeteria. The boy then dug into his steak, pouring steak sauce on it first.
