Lord Foul II |
With a mix of practice and innate talent, you are able to interlace your illusions with subtle weaves of shadowstuff that make them all the more real.
Prerequisite: Spell Focus (illusion), caster level 10
Benefit: Your figment and glamer spells always require a saving throw, even if a creature would normally not be affected by such illusions, such as by true seeing. Such creatures receive a +4 bonus to their saving throw. In addition, even if a viewer disbelieves an illusion created by an illusionist using this variant and communicates the details of the illusion to other creatures, those other creatures do not receive the normal +4 bonus on their saying throws to disbelieve the illusion. Furthermore, even when presented with incontrovertible proof that the illusion isn't real, creatures must still succeed on a Will saving throw to see objects or creatures that the illusion obscures, although they get a +10 bonus on the saving throw.

Yeah...I had blocked out time this morning to catch up on the game and of course the site was down. :(
Now I have to go to the grocery store cause we're out of most things. I'll have to wait to post later.
Iolth, we can work on making changes to your character, but I definitely want any changes and explanations approved by me before they go into the game thread, thanks. :)
Magic, we can make a tanuki that's more in line with the Agarthian kitsune if that will make you happy. I am planning to put the kitsune stats in the campaign info within the next week, with any changes made to the initial writeup (primarily removing the breath weapon since it didn't really work thematically speaking). So we can all see them for easy reference. And I'll add the tanuki whenever you have that ready. And tengu as well if we end up recreating whatever info was lost on those. :)
Outside of that was there anything that urgently needed my attention?

Iolth needs Nala/Ms. Jone's assistance ASAP. He's rather in psychic trauma right now.
Also, Aananda just had a huge power surge go through the wards. Not sure if that's good or bad, leaving that up to you.
PM incoming.
MisterLurch |
Phaezeriel is also a psychic healer, particularly of the mind.
BTW, I am back .. had an awesome vacation. We went to Port St. Joe in north Florida and went scalloping, shipwreck diving, and flounder gigging. I won a small friendly cooking competition and got to watch the fireworks on the fourth from a boat about 500 feet from the launching barge.
All in all, an amazing trip.
I am glad to be back and ready to play! :)
Iolth Taknith |
Phaezariel, you have a patient incoming in... five hours my time.
Have to get off. Also, depending on whether Lyn agrees with my PM, you might need some help from Ephebe.

So, whatever happened to Enre (the character)?
His player is on indefinite hiatus. I leave the door open unless someone says they are definitely not coming back. So we just assume that Enre is somewhere. Perhaps he has been drafted to help rescue Resistance operatives during this latest crackdown out in the Empire. That's where Asch and Amada are and Enre and Asch fought together during the demon invasion so it's certainly plausible that Asch would ask him for help now.
lynora |
I contacted Asch and Amada, actually-they said they weren't coming back :(
Not surprised. Asch tried to come back a while ago and just wasn't really feeling it. Means I can use those characters as I need now though. Especially useful since the Champions of Light (parallel universe version) and Hope are also at large in the Empire right now......

Lyn, two questions, one, is a flying ship, as in three masted galleon a magic item or a possession, and two how many feats does my pirate get?
Umm....what? The only flying ship currently in the game is Dave's mostly broken one. It's a plot device. And what pirate? I am totally lost here.

Okay, so we have a slight problem now of some parts of the game being ahead of others. We have some scenes that are most of the way through first period and others that are like ten minutes after first period started. This happens sometimes. Especially when we have a bunch of people off on vacation like we did this last week. So, first off, those who were participating in the race scene, please slow down a bit for now. You're way ahead of everyone else and not everybody is back from their break just yet. My apologies to the other characters on the tour as well as they are also ahead timewise. I need y'all to basically pause for a bit while the other scenes get caught up. Thanks for your patience. Hopefully this won't take too long.
I'm gonna do a roll call through my characters to try and sort out who is supposed to be where and what needs to be done to quickly get other scenes up to speed. I think this will be more effective than trying to go back through the game thread like I was doing.

Aananda: In the infirmary with Vai, waiting for Vai to wake up so she can talk to her about options.
Asha: late to her first class (this scene is behind the most recent in-game time...need to update first)
Bradley: on the roof, alone now that Rena has hurried to get to class
Chara: in class
Dara: in class, sitting under his desk on the grounds that it's safer there
Dennis: dealing with stuff in Kuros
Ephebe: passed out exhausted while the kids explore the echo cave and hot springs
Fieri: teaching Ephebe's class...an interesting experience to say the least
Ginni: dead. Repp, Al, and Reviarti are arguing over who suspects who and attempts are being made to investigate the scene.
Ignace: in class, pretending to read, still can't
Jaiye: not sure if she and Ehos ever went to class or not, need to check
Janie: in class
Jeran: looking bewildered at an open portal to the abyss and trying to figure out how to close it
Jiminy: dealing with stuff in Kuros
Keme: with his grandfather and his cousin Alys...did they join the general tour or what? I kind of lost track of this scene....
Kitty: with Michael, heading downstairs for breakfast and awkwardness with his family before they all go for a visit and yet more awkwardness with her family
Miss Jones: teaching class, annoyed with Treisdan who has been acting out a lot
Morrivan: crying after saying goodbye to Rodhas
Nala: making a telepathic appeal to the non-psychotic part of Jessa's mind

Ori: researching in the library
Phaedra: school tour
Pyra: supervising the younger members of her class and greeting two new students
Raelle: with Morrivan, also crying

Sadie: teaching light blades, so far managing not to kill any fellow students.....so far.....
Sorchan: leading school tour
Tamina: in class

Alright, it looks like there's only a couple of scenes that need catching up to the timeline so it shouldn't be a long delay for those that are ahead. I will have to post in the morning though. Too sleepy and I need to go take a shower like an hour and a half ago....

So I decided to watch SAO this weekend (only a few episodes in) my question is, is it worth it? will I be disappointed at the end (like too many questions left unanswered?).

MisterLurch |

You know something funny/creepy/weird/cool?
I did too...About 6 episodes or so in. Subbed only.
The reception says it changes half way through and drops the introspective commentary, so if you're one of those types, beware...
I don't care about that alone. It's interesting, but not what I watch anime for so...

Actually... I watched the series. You will not be disappointed. They could've left the ending of the first season the ending of the series. But... they didn't! They're going through the original light novels and Ghost Gun Online (The Return of the Laughing Coffin!) and the Underworld (Freaky system that Kazuto is allowed to playtest, but they wipe his mind afterwards? Spooooky!) I enjoyed the first season, to say the least, and I think it had a satisfactory ending.
The second story arc, Alfheim Online, takes a different tone than the first. It still has that character development that was apparent in SAO, however, it has taken the backseat for the high (quite literally, actually) adventure that some fans felt sorely lacking in the first one-namely because it isn't a death game. Duels to the death, massive brawl in the World Tree-if you wanted more hack 'n slash in SAO, there it is.

I guess this is the fashion now, so...
Archena is not causing trouble on the tour.
Hermes is with Arthur, I think.
Kevin is taking a nap completely for recreation as he does not need to sleep.
Lewis is guarding Ephebe. Unless Tarka is doing something, in which case he's following her.
Lim-Môr is in Nero mode and recording Vare's class in scary detail.
Strider is running class.
Sara is following Lang. I want to let someone else respond before she goes. Power stuff.
Shiro's about to greet his class.
Tybs is in the infirmary. Trying to sleep but just laying down staring at the ceiling.
Miss Jones |
2 people marked this as a favorite. |
I haven't been acting out... I'm in a good mood and Miss Jones is stuck in the 1400's
On which calendar? I'm not sure if that is supposed to be old, current, or future....
