While we're at this clarifying, what "mind reading" ability is it that has no save?
Kind of curious on that one myself, and the actual affects in case Tryko'Sam runs into Renkai again (and perhaps Anahita if applicable) along with other, nameless beings I cannot mention.
I detect thoughts of all around myself 100 ft radius and the source of it is classified.

at least it isn't Rowan Atkinson..
I dunno. In the episode where David went to Pompei he was the father in that family. I'm not British either. (Would be cool though.)
I don't really know what I expected. Knew it wouldn't be female. Wished he was younger like Matt and David. Not going back to old dudes. This tosses out my mom's theory that he gets progressively younger.| Melody Waverider |

he had a minor role in World War Z
and played John Frobisher in Torchwood Miracle day| Tybalt Baneko |
I didn't see miracle day or anything after. Got swapped over to America and off of on demand. Although with what I've heard this doesn't appear to be a tragedy.

Ah, so it's "detect thoughts" per the spell? Save or no save? That's key.
Appreciate knowing, thanks.

No save =)
Because the source of the reading listed no save

Ginni hears a lot of surface thoughts except from folks who are immune to mind-effecting (and therefore blessedly quiet to be around) but she really, really tries to tune it out. :)
Arthur, so noted, and she will likely be a bit uncomfortable around him as a result.
k, it's louder when he uses his generator abilities, and quieter when he's low on nanites

think we just found Mel's tin dog.

AHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!
Just yesterday I asked you who you thought Mel's tin dog would be and you said me! So much irony!!!!!!!
| Renkai Urmas |
Tin dog: A noise-making device, often constructed ad hoc from materials at hand, used by a farmer to get sheep or cattle moving
They're saying - Arthur is Mel's plan to get Renkai to care more. ;P
Or, tin dog as in the dog that the 4th doctor had...

honestly I would prefer that one for Mel.

Off to the east...
three giant Owls are flying toward the direction of Avalon. each bearing a rider.they circle around and make a landing at a sky temple shrine just over halfway between the sky temples and Avalon.
the place is a stop point high in the mountains for sky temple monks to stop on their journeys to the more populous regions.
Three young monks a teen-aged boy and girl and a younger one make a camp for the night.
the barren landscape offers little for vegetation or wildlife. but on this evening a single small bird braves the cold air and approaches the trio.
Sara your bird has found Lang and his travelling companions
<censored> bird, man! We should use that for world wide communication-- might save on needing to use wireless, cellular or other electronic carrier signal processes and energy! Go go birdies. :D
NOTE: Meant as humor.

it's a double reference...I think....
| Death_Keeper |
Who references shouldn't be assumed. They definitely need to be explained...I finally started watching the gorram thing, but four eps in I still have no frikkin idea what you're talking about most of the time. :P
I get 98% of Who references, because its all i do nowadays... you know besides college and finding a job

Sorry lyn but there is like 50 years of Dr who to reference.
most of the time my references are for Tybs
and yea he did but I kinda would like him back at the school soonish. he's been sidelined since the end of June in real time and I am missing playing the character some.
of course I still love mel also...

Aaaaand another day lost to the hell of moving and unpacking and having to spend money on crap we can't afford to make this gorramn place livable...[sigh].
And the brand new fridge we got seems to be broken now too. Glorious...
Howdy.
Anyone left here who remembers me? Anyone I remember? Okay if I swing by and play in this good ol' sandbox for a while once again?
Well well well....welcome back, DRA. You've been missed! (^-^)

@Carl:
The way you were sort of NPC driving during the explosions/fights, adding your flare and creativity is effectively what we do we GMing here with or without our Teacher/Student characters.
Since the universal rules/conditions are set by Lynora, who does an awesome job and I am endeavoring to provide some tales for a few of her PCs, we keep things "rules light" with regards to some stuff, but, IMHO, keep things "real" when dealing with plots others are throwing out when it's "serious" business, i.e. solving issues for story progress and combat.
Hope that helps.
Do always feel free to ask or offer ideas, or even request a plot- maybe someone will be inspired and want to run something.
I think Lynora's guide of: Students deal with issues first, Teachers only second after students clearly are out classed, is an excellent one. This is what I've been using with the few plots I've got, which hopefully will foster teamwork and adventures just like the game system supports. After all, this is in essence, about parties accomplishing great things together, right? In my mind, no "man" or "woman" in this game is an island. Co-operation is key, hence the school setting even.

edit:
Thanks Lynora, FC [and Damiani hehe], I think I get the core ideals now, I was just getting lost understanding who was who, its a lot clearer now. I'll be honest, was kind of worried about GM-PCs, you know over shadowing players,[in the bad ways we all know] but it seems Avalon has rules to stop that wile letting everyone GM, if they want play and GM, :)My NPC driving is a thing done in other old school PbP games I have played in with much longer weekly posts by players, just a way to get a lot of stuff done for game/pc, so I see what you mean its the same kind of thing here, just with a much faster turn around on posts, wow its fast here, having to check every day now. Not keen on being a GM just yet, its a lot to commit to, and I just don't have the time, work wise.
thanks for helping me understand how it all works.
