Understood, thanks.
Bartimaeus settles to the ground and straps his blade onto his back. He bends over the fallen creatures and nods, kicking one experimentally. "A good fight."
Turning, he lightly glides over to the rest. "Anyone hurt?"
Viorel Ariaza
After looking around to confirm that the things are infact dead or at least not moving the mage takes a more casual stance. "Fine over here." He calls out to the outsider. Viorel then turns to check if anyone was left fortunate than him in that regard. "Damn I hate water." He mutters to himself. He takes the map out of it's case scribling down a small mark on it.

Uh, it's making camp for the night time. That's why you stopped here in the first place. You were already resting for several hours before the oozes came and attacked.
08/25/4712 17:33
The group settles back down, and gets ready for the night's mists.
Alarm spells I presume? Bartimaeus can get his two hour's rest in mostly before it's dark and then watch for the rest of the night.
Liette d'Argent
Snapping out the cylinders of her revolvers, Liette sends a shower of brass casings to the marsh terrain underfoot. Spinning the guns around, she goes through the process of reloading. "Excellent teamwork," the tactician concedes, "you all did a fantastic job against those, and we managed t'keep 'em from even closin' the distance. I think we're beginnin' t'understand unit cohesion with our current membership."
Revolvers reloaded, Liette holsters her firearms and sweeps her jacket closed over them. "Might be nice t'get a night'f uninterrupted sleep at some point in time, though. But I guess beggars can't be choosers in the 'Wound."
Barek Wound-blooded
Barek goes to pick up his bow. "Indeed, but I expect these creatures would be considered among the dregs of demonkind. We must stay vigilant for those much more powerful. We have already experienced that one time too many."
Viorel Ariaza
Thanks Nate didn't realize.
Viorel looks around trying to decide on how to set up the alarms, since only part of the area is solid ground. Hmm there might be creatures that can hold their breath in this kind of enviorement so better make sure that they can't use that to get close to us without us noticing. He thinks scratching his jaw. Eventually he decides it's better to be safe than sorry and uses considerable sum of his arcane powers to establish a safe parameter around the camp.
Ten Alarm spells, I used some 2nd level slots for that. Not seeing the grid but will try my best to explain the plan. Mental one on where will be sleeping. First thought about getting all tactical with this but too much effor in relation to the usefulness.(tried to write it 3 times always confusing.) Use the remaining 9 to make a circle around the camp as big as possible without gaps these one's audible as last time tell folks the passwords and locations.

The group moves on, continuing their exploration of the swamp. They sweep north and west, and after about an hour they clear the swamp. It appears to stretch on forever into the east, it's impossible to tell how big it really is yet. Inexplicably on the other side of the swamp is a desert. There's a half mile buffer zone of scrub, which gives way to sandy hills as far as the eye can see. Thirty miles or more away to the north can be seen the mountains at the edge of the Crown of the World. Though vegetation is plentiful, it is all as hard as iron and covered in thorns and spines. Every succulent bit of moisture containing flesh is so surrounded by a halo of sharp deterrents as to make walking itself a hazardous undertaking. The group continues northwest for another hour, before turning to the north east. The sandy ground gives way easily beneath the horses feet, and the going is somewhat slower than on the flat plains south of the swamp. They continue on that way for another half an hour, through the first of the foothills. Viorel calls for a turn back to the south and they begin to double back, making sure they cover all the ground. They travel for another forty minutes or so before several human skulls with pointed teeth take off from some surrounding cacti like buzzards from a corpse. As each skull streaks into the air, they ignite and are engulfed in flames.

Last night, prepared an elixir of crafter's fortune and quaffed it before starting work on crafting another cold iron weapon blanch. I use it on another 10 rounds of ammunition to have 16 cold iron bullets remaining, and of course reload my rifle with 4 of them.
The weapon blanch is 200 sp.
DC is 20, voluntarily raised to 30.
Pay 6gp 6sp 6cp in materials.
+29 to Craft check gives me a 39 when taking 10.
39 * 30 = 1170, which is 5 times the base cost (= 1/5).
Swift alchemy halves the time to 1/10 of a week.
56 hours in a week = 5.6 hours crafting time to make this, so I do it during our rest and my watch.
Faraldur spends the better part of the morning being quietly perturbed about the idea of a desert bordering a swamp, and eventually comes to the conclusion that one of the two areas must be some side-effect of the Abyssal influence of the Worldwound. That could only mean that it was incredibly dangerous--and so he is incredibly on edge for the entire time. Needless to say, when a bunch of flying skulls appear, he is anything but happy.
Faraldur jumps off the frightened horse before he can bolt. "I highly suggest you get off too!" He shouts to Liette as he squints at the tiny demons, mulling over what they might be as he lobs one of his new force bombs in their direction. The dwarf then draws a shield elixir.

Ah, I forgot to mention, they're all 30 feet up right now. To avoid having to keep track of height for each one, they're going to move and attack like synchronized swimmers. AKA they'll all always be at the same height, I'll put it after their action in OOC.
Faraldur knows that these are Hatethrall Demons. They have all demon traits and attack with fire.

Round 1
"These little buggers are Hatethrall Demons! They use fire in their attacks, so I'd guess that your fireballs won't be too effective on them, Viorel!" Faraldur calls out.
Initiative 22
Barek fires off two arrows at one of the creatures. (#5)
Arrow #2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Both arrows deflect relatively harmlessly off the hard abyssal bone of the flying skull.

The bomb slams into one of the demons rattling it and sending cracks lancing through it.

"ஆசிர்வதிக்கப்பட்ட கைப்பற்றினார், நான் இருட்டில் மற்றும் தீய இந்த அலை எதிராக நிற்க என்று என்னை பாதுகாக்க." As the words flow a warm, serene glow spreads from her as if she were bathed in candlelight.

In surprise, he trails a finger along his neck, holding the dying flecks before his eyes before he scatters them to the wind. "That... hurt."

Sacha feels his weight shifts and responds at once, leaping fiercely and flying through the air at the nearest demon. The vicious cougar grabs the tiny demon in its mouth and curls up into a ball to bring all its claws to bear on the fiend. Chips of burning bone fall like snow to the ground below Sacha and Abigail.
Demon and Sacha have the grappled condition.

Liette d'Argent
Seeing the demons explode into view, heat-haze of fire rippling around them, Liette rolls to her side and trains both of her revolvers on their distant forms. Breathing in deeply, she watches their small shapes waver in and out of her iron sights, jaw clenching and breath held.
Come on, come on, come on.
They're too far away. That horrible realization has Liette hesitating, considering how best to handle the situation.
Get up, get up, get up, get up!
Rolling across her shoulder in a cloud of dust, Liette tumbles to her feet and moves to stand beside Nathaniel. "They're too far away!" Liette hisses as she arrives at the summoner's side, "I can't hit them from here!"

Best I can hope to do right now until they get closer is heal Nathaniel if they blow through his Eidolon HP.

Round 3 Init 9
Not protection, but I can make it harder for them to aim. The mage thinks wanting to buy them some time. He uses the creature's own fire as fuel for the spell and creates a big choking cloud of smoke around their enemies. "Do not enter the smoke!" He yells a warning to his companions.
Cast Pyrotecnics on #1, if it is fire-based it takes 8 damage.
Smoke Cloud: A stream of smoke billows out from the fire, forming a choking cloud that spreads 20 feet in all directions and lasts for 1 round per caster level. All sight, even darkvision, is ineffective in or through the cloud. All within the cloud take -4 penalties to Strength and Dexterity (Fortitude negates). These effects last for 1d4+1 rounds after the cloud dissipates or after the creature leaves the area of the cloud. Spell resistance does not apply.
Fort save DC 18.

Round 3
Barek looks around, hoping to discover their foes as he readies to charge wherever they appear.
Faraldur draws his rifle from its holster slung over his back and sends his eyes to the skies, watching carefully for the return of the demonic flying skeletons.
The demons all reappear in a group, about 240 feet off the ground just south and above Bartimaeus.
Bartimaeus descends through the skies to next to Viorel, Faraldur and Liette and shoots sparks into the air.
"I feel they will be coming after me again; any spell you have aiding me in resisting fire or their touch would be appreciated."
Either Bart, Abigail and Sacha get hasted, or Liette, Faraldur and Viorel do. I'll let Batimaeus decide.
Not protection, but I can make it harder for them to aim. The mage thinks wanting to buy them some time. He uses the creature's own fire as fuel for the spell and creates a big choking cloud of smoke around their enemies. "Do not enter the smoke!" He yells a warning to his companions.
Abigail tightens her knees around Sacha as she wills it to turn on his left and flying towards the demons.
They are ~260' away from Sacha, and he can only move half speed while ascending. Haste would get you closer, but either way they are way to far away from you.
Seeing the demons explode into view, heat-haze of fire rippling around them, Liette rolls to her side and trains both of her revolvers on their distant forms. Breathing in deeply, she watches their small shapes waver in and out of her iron sights, jaw clenching and breath held.

Hearing the gunslinger's frustrations, Faraldur follows after her with a frown. "Liette! I've got a potion you can take to fly up there if you need it," he shouts, fumbling around in his pack to find it. "Somewhere around here at least..."
Moving next to Liette. If she wants the fly elixir I'll take it out and hand it to her. Otherwise I'll ready a rifle attack if the demons come down within range again.
