Considering that Myriana thought no how to get to the place that she was told about so they could find this woman. Not that she wanted her new friend to leave again but she had made a promise. She gave the tiefling a smile and said, "Thanks for the info meow, we'll get out of your hair now." She gestured for Hazel to follow her as she thought about how to get where they were headed to.

Hi folks. I'm going to try and do a hard reboot of this game. It got a little out of hand with everyone scattering. If you are still hanging about and still want to play I am going to try a more structured thing with everyone in one place.

The past few months had gone by in a blur. The various groups had manged to succeed at their various tasks , and had managed to gain some experience. everyone 2nd level. They had rescued children from slavers, gotten stranded creatures back to their home planes, and negotiated some of the most dangerous areas in the Cage. Some folks they had started with had wandered off, but the remainder feel very content with their jobs well done. They now relax and share their experiences at Poseidon's Edge, a large tavern in the Market Ward famous for its fresh seafood and wide variety of ales. After a delicious meal, a ragged young male human wanders up and addresses them

"Oi, cutters, I've got a message for yeh from a potential client, if yeh're interested. They asked for yeh personally."

Myriana had a rather exciting, and scary, couple of days. First she made a friend and lost him, got a job, and met a new friend who she had to say goodbye to. The last one was the best, and sad, but the best, because she helped her friend get home with his family. The next couple of months went by in a blur, dancing, wandering, eating, living and it was a startling surprise when she realized she could do magic. It came as a shocker but she felt a strong connection to the winds and electricity and began to practice her newfound powers while staying practiced in her regular skill set.

Myriana had met up with a few people during the months and had gone to meet them at Poseidon's Edge as usual. She was just finishing telling a story about a patron at the club she danced for and how she gave him a cat scratch when he got too handsy with her when the person approached their table. She looked at the human and asked, "I might be, I can't speak for the others. What kind of job is it meow?"

Congruence continues their study of the tavern's patrons, attempting to mime some of their actions to better understand them. Then in reply to the messenger, the modron at first tries to mimic his speech pattern before slipping into his usual way of talking, "Oi, is dere further information on Potential Client's identity? We are willing to assist upon receiving additional details."

Congruence takes the scroll and examines it, then recalls that it should be unrolled to be read. The modron proceeds to read the scroll aloud.

Spoiler:
The Great Portal Chase is an annual contest sponsored by Alluvius Ruskin. Teams were formed and had to solve puzzles and try to locate portals and keys through a chain that led the contestants through a dozen-odd worlds until they finished and returned. Winners usually got a job as a portal runner for Alluvius if they wanted, but winning this contest was a good indication of worth. Many winners were picked up as junior members of adventuring parties

Congruence teases open the scroll

GREETINGS! You have been selected to participate in the annual Great Portal Chase. Please assemble a team of 3-6 and be at Tivvun’s Antiquities at Peak tomorrow. No ringers! This is a contest for untried cutters. Cheating or ringers will automatically disqualify your team. Adventuring equipment is recommended as is sturdy clothing.

Below the main message is a much smaller paragraph

Myriana thought over what she knew of the race and her eyes lit up in first surprise and then delight. "Neow!" She said with near reverant awe. "This is a big deal Congruence! This could change everything for us. The group splits up into the Bazaar to pick up supplies. After they rest the night, they convene at the iconic giant green building housing Alluvius Ruskin’s shop at Peaktime.

In front of the green cylindrical building a few tables with bunting are set up. A banner above them reads:

Myriana recognizes Alluvius at the table talking to several young sentients. A crowd of various beings gather

Alluvius is a frizzy-haired elderly tiefling woman, dressed in a shapeless green robe and with smoky blue-colored glasses. She is busy signing up a group when the party approaches

“Myriana! Great to see yeh made it. I was impressed with your wits, so I thought I’d invite yeh to my do. Who are your camarados?”

She looks at Sara, Calita, and Conguence

“A Modron! Yeh don’t see too many of your lot around. I’ll bet you have a good story”

She couldn't wait to get signed up and participate in the great race and she looked around eagerly as she chatered on endlessly to her friends as they approached Alluvius Ruskin's shop. She nodded in agreement with Callita and said, "Yes it is meow!"

It was around then that Myriana heard Alluvius call out a greeting to her and she jumped up and waved as she said, "Hi Alluvius!" She led her frineds to the tiefling woman and introduced them saying, "This I Sara, friend Congruence, and Calita meow." She looked back to Alluvis and said, "Thank you for inviting us meow, we're really looking forward to it." She looked back to Alluvis and asked, "How are you?"

Myriana realizes the festhall mentioned in the riddle could only be the massive Civic Festhall, headquarters of the Sensate faction. It is the tallest building in Sigil, almost 400 meters above the street level

Agender Exiled Modron Paladin 1 (Chosen One)

Sorry for the silence, but I'm back and will try to keep up now! :)

As Sara helps Congruence with the armband, the modron says, "Thank you, True Friend Sara. We cannot reach there." Congruence looks like they are pondering for a moment, then smiles and says, "We have not acquired a personal favorite color preference. Perhaps purple will be our favorite color as well!"

Listening to the clue, Congruence thinks deeply. The modron starts going through all of its memories of every bariaur they have ever seen. Presuming Myriana speaks up about the Civic Festhall (especially since my posting has been slow) ... Congruence looks at her surprised and impressed, "Excellent deduction, Friend Myriana. However, that is line 4. How are you able to understand the later lines? Do we not need to decipher the earlier lines?"

Sara grins, the excitement of the chase getting a hold of her.
"Well, the first few lines say who we have to find, and the line about the festhall, where we have to be. We can try and decipher the rest while we run!"

Sara will start moving in the direction of the festhall, motioning for the others to follow.

Female Dusk Elf Magus (Mindblade) 2

Calita slaps Myriana on the back.
"Good job! Let's go," she says following Sara off towards the Festhall.

The group pelts off into the Great Bazaar. It’s Peaktime, and rainy, and the cobbles are slick with rain and the various debris a huge market collects. The other groups also vanish into the foggy drizzle.

As destinations go, the Civic Festhall isn’t too far from the Great Bazaar. In less than an hour the group makes its way to the Festhall District in the Clerks Ward. The lawyers offices and bureaucratic buildings give suddenly away to the constant carnival that surrounds the Civic Festhall. The Festhall itself looms over the district like some immense totem devoted to the gods of sensation.

The streets are crowded with revelers in all stages of inebriation and dress. The lowest order of Sensate considers carnality the cornerstone of their faction. There are others who seem to be perusing more sober paths of sensation as well: a few ascetics in robes chanting in a plaza, a group of dancers twirling in a complicated gavotte.

They see the massive entryway of the Festhall, the doors propped open and crowds entering to discover what sensations they may.
