I struggled with sadness and aloneness for about three months after my last breakup, then suddenly realized how my anxiety had dropped off and my happiness had increased. I didn't have to check with someone else before doing anything. I could go places alone and do what I felt like doing without the possibility of hurting someone's feelings. This is the longest I've been without a SO, and I'm not at all tempted to get into another relationship. It would be as annoying as moving in with my mother. *shudder* I'd give one of us a life expectancy of approximately 3 days. I love my independence. Wish I'd done this 30 years ago.

GF/Significant others, DO require a lot of attention.
I'm lucky, mine is worth it! :)
All of the jokes going around this year, about 'needing a divorce attorney' once covid went away,...
I dunno what they talking about, My wife and I finally got some real time together! :PMan, youth is wasted on the young,.... ;)
Retirement?
Sure, I can retire anytime now,...Anytime I feel like moving into a cardboard box under a bridge! :P
Tis true, I have a Divorce Mediation side business and I am getting a call every other day since Spring sprung...

Wow,
I was HOPING it was all joking? Now I wanna make a joke about it,... but having gone through that once myself, It's not really funny anymore. :P
(Unless it's a REALLY talented comedian! Which, sadly, is not me.) ;)
Why is Divorce so expensive?

I started to post my initiative and then stopped, because I realized the call for initiative was in a spoiler for Mythaniel. Based on the posts in the gameplay thread, I am glad to know I’m not the only PbP player who habitually reads other players’ spoilers.

I actually hadn't read it (though I do some of the time)-- I just kind of figured Mythaniel yelling that someone was attacking us counted as the rest of the party being made aware combat was starting.
Try diagramming that sentence...

I wouldn't say HABITUALLY,...
More often than I should probably, ok yeah. Guilty. :P

I pretty rarely read he spoilers but then I DM more than I play so I prefer that lack of knowledge, as a DM I know all!, it's easier not knowing than pretending not to know :-)

LOL,
I have watched VERY little Futurama, (but I have seen enough to know what its about)
This is pretty funny, because it IS accurate. :)

I was today years old when I learned the guy who played The Comedian in Watchmen is the same guy who wields the baseball bat in the Walking Dead.
Tangentially related: the appearance and mannerisms of Negan in the Walking Dead comic were based on Henry Rollins. Rollins auditioned for the part on the show, but the producers thought he was too old, so Jeffrey Dean Morgan got the role.

Seriously, though, there's a definite tabletop RPG difficulty curve for me, where ease of play is directly correlated to how amoral and unhinged my characters are. Though I enjoy all of my current PbP characters, there's a well-defined trend in how hard it is to write them. Right now, I'm playing a Neutral Evil zero-f~#@s-given fighter/assassin (stupidly easy to play, fast posting), a Lawful Evil undead fallen paladin (moderately difficult, irregular posting), and a Neutral Good military officer and team leader (basically impossible, very sporadic posting).
| Ragadolf |
LOL,
That's awesome.
Actually, now that you mention it. While I'm not really very good at playing 'evil' PC's, (ALthough I can mange 'crazy' or 'unhinged' pretty well) I DO find it hard to play Super-goody-two-shoes like the original Paladins.
While most of my characters are various shades of 'good' with a pinch of crazy, I find having to avoid the random, average murder-hoboery required to play a true LG is almost if not more difficult than playing a truly evil psychopath.

Random thought, feel free to shoot it down:
The more I've thought about it, the more I think that the assassin's Death Attack isn't really practical under most circumstances. I know Eddin being kind of useless is part of the joke, and a part I intend on keeping built-in, but I feel like I'm not really contributing as much as I could (as a player).
Patrick-- how would you feel if I partially rebuilt my character to be a little more effective combat-wise?

Soooo,...
I felt like crud all day yesterday, and this morning. So I went to the clinic.
Yep. I has 'The Cuuf' ;P
Gotta isolate for the next 10 days,
But I DO qualify for a 'Antibody Infusion', so I will be getting THAT as soon as they call me back to schedule it! :)
In teh meanwhile, I'll post as long as I feel up to it. :P
I have a feeling this will get worse before it gets better. :(

Been really backed up with work since I go back from vacation, will try and post at some point this week.
Thanks for your understanding.

I will live online once more this Saturday, sorry for the LOONG delay. Beena bit crazy lately in RL.

Personally, apologizing for absence. Dealing with in-laws hanging out due to no power etc in their town, (Houma) and we OPEN our Show Xanadu THIS friday,... so,... feeling a little stressed.
I mean, a little more than usual. :P
Will try to stay caught up, but I am busy. And still get tired really easy since recovering from Covid. (Otherwise fine. slight lingering cough/sore throat. Just TIRED) So I not usually feeling up to playing on PC when I get home. Apologies for any continued silence.
I will keep up as best as I can!
Thank you,

Just FYI, just finished our first of three weekends of Xanadu, the musical.
SO much better with an audience. Even a small one. (We had like 7 people the first night, 'sold out' (maybe 175 seats? TINY theatre) the Sat, and a decent sized group the Sunday matinee)
Even the TINY audience was SO much better than NO audience.
After working on this show for a year and a half (two years for the director) The jokes were getting stale for us. ;P
Of course I'm over here making rookie, amateur vocal mistakes.
Like, first moment on stage screaming at the top of my lungs. With out a proper vocal warm up.
Yes. I know better. And once my voice recovers over the next four days i will be VERY careful not to do that again! :P
Anyway, should be semi-normal posting for the next few days. After that? All bets are off! :)
