Zariya Ameerah
Zariya stops and tries to sense if there is evil up ahead while taking another closer look at things. "If you got any spells improving your combat prowess, now might be a good time to cast them. If not, let's move in on my mark."
What about guidance on everyone before attacking? Though casting divine favor might also be nice, or you could save for potentially stronger enemies, but this might be the last chamber. Zariya will just keep on making perception checks while Zohreh is busy buffing until she spots it. It's a move action, so she can make 2 per round.
Zohreh of the Bulls
Zohreh nods shortly and clasps a hand on Zariya to grant her some of Shelyn's power, then starts doing the same for her other companions while keeping a wary eye in the direction of the iron snake.
(assuming it gets that far. If we're in combat right away, that will change things)
Varisia James
Varisia attempts to spot the creature the others were able to see.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Knowledge(all): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 an additional +1 if it's covered by Religion
Jandar-Ki Naïlo
|
Note that Varisia is at 3 and Jandar is at 5 going in.
stormcrow27
The snake just sits, not making a move, nor breathing. Varisia believes it's an iron cobra, a simple construct used for guard and assassination duties. They're not intelligent, but quite stealthy, have a refillable poison container, resistant to damage (DR 5/-) and can track people anywhere on a planetary body unless protected by powerful magic (aka discern location).
Zohreh of the Bulls
Zohreh channels energy, noticing her companions in rough state.
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 4
We should really start using dialogue for what we want so we can avoid meta.
Jandar-Ki Naïlo
|
Healing here is a meta decision. Character-wise, I don't think Jandar would request healing at 50%, as a grin and bear it, kid off the streets mentality. That and I didn't want to speak for Varisia.
Jandar-Ki Naïlo
|
"Thanks Zohreh. That picks up the spirit."
Zariya Ameerah
"You should never hesitate to ask for healing when you are wounded. It'll be no good if you die in battle because you are already wounded when it started." Zariya comments in a concerned voice. "Now let's do this. We'll strike the snake down like we've done with the other enemies. Let's move in side by side Zohreh."
Swift: Encouraging Roar
Move up to 10 feet away
Standard: Ready action to use Hunting Party once someone else comes adjacent to her and within reach to attack as well. Preferably Zohreh, but if she's too far down in initiative Jardar-Ki would work fine as well
Hunting Party, if it hits Zohreh get's an AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 damage: 1d10 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Jandar-Ki Naïlo

Posting early - asssuming Zohreh will start combat.
"Well, no time like the present." Jandar-Ki turns with a devilish grin and readies himself, shifting his weight forward. The muscles in his front leg go taught as he prepares to charge the mechanical snake.
Two-Handed Scimitar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19+2 Charge +2 ER
Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 +2 ER

Two-Handed Scimitar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5+2 +2
So much for that...
Varisia James
Sees the snake surrounded by allies and move in behind the melee line, prepared to heal anyone who may need it.
sorry about my slow posting, caught up in paizocon good Times.
Jandar-Ki Naïlo

"Hey Varisia, I thought you said these things were resistant to damage?"
Jandar-Ki pauses to take a look around before investigating the sarcophagus and the two chests.
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Zohreh of the Bulls
"Well, it could always be both," says Zohreh, joining the others in the search.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 = 25
stormcrow27
You find no other threats in the chamber. Since the next action will be most likely inventory, here you go.
The gold leaf decorating the sarcophagus is worth a total of100 gp, if enough time is spent to salvage all of it. Inside the sarcophagus, Akhentepi's mummified corpse wears an exquisitely crafted gold funerary mask worth 500 gp. One of the chests contains Akhentepi's armor, the magic suit of padded armor he wore in life. The other chest holds a disintegrating cloth sack filled with 500 gp, as well as a small, well-preserved darkwood coffer worth 50 gp. Inside the coffer is a potion
of darkvision, a potion of lesser restoration, an ornate lapis and carnelian pendant worth 70 gp, and an assortment of carnelian, lapis lazuli, and turquoise semiprecious stones worth a total of 55 gp.
Zariya Ameerah
Just one door we haven't explored now right? That we know of anyway? Did we get experience for this last encounter?
"I guess we did indeed find his final resting place. Seeing all these corpses unnerves me a bit, but finding all this wealth is nice." Zariya has a bit mixed feelings. "Either way, once we've finished with the things here, let's go back and investigate the other door we missed."
Varisia James
Varisia studies the armor intently, focusing his magical detection capabilities to determine it's abilities.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Zohreh of the Bulls
Zohreh stares at the riches in awe. "I've never seen such a fortune in one place before! I wonder if all the tombs are like this. Do we want to salvage the leaf? I don't know if it feels right to deface the tomb."
Varisia James
'We can take the leaf, we just have to be careful not to damage the sarcophagus and treat the corpse with respect.'
Varisia James
Varisia checks the door for traps
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
If trapped/locked
Disable Device: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
If nothing, Varisia opens it.
Jandar-Ki Naïlo

Jandar-Ki will assist Varisia.
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Disable Device: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Zohreh of the Bulls
Zohreh casts guidance on the two working on the door.
stormcrow27
The door is not locked and opens easily. Inside appears to be an unfinished wing that leads into a small room. Two chittering beetles with glowing red nodules mounted on their bodies look at you and click their mandibles together. Time to roll for initiative.
Zohreh init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Jandar-Kai init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Zariya init: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Varisia init: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
beetle 1 init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
beetle 2 init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Zariya Ameerah
"You know the drill by now. We are starting to work great together. Let's keep up the good work and smash these beetles to bits!" Zariya says as she surges forward, where she hesitates for a moment to say. "Jardar-Ki, with me!" And waves him to her side before she smashes the flat of her weapon into one of them her weapon at one of the beetles. She lets out a grunt and stamps the ground hard to intimidate the beetle.
Swift: Encouraging Roar
Move up
Standard: Ready Hunting Party for when someone comes adjacent, so they get an AoO as well. I have no idea if this is actually possible without a map, but it might be. Imho pathfinder combat is really confusing to play without maps.
Hunting Party nonlethal, granting Jardar-Ki an AoO against either the same or the other one. Preferably we take out beetle 2 first: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 nonlethal damage: 1d10 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14 Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Jandar-Ki Naïlo
|
Assuming the other beetle is within range/adjacent of Zariya...Jandar-Ki charges into position with his two-handed scimitar like the legendary Cloud Strife and makes a mighty swing.
Two-Handed Scimitar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4+2 charge +2 ER
Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9+2 ER
Jandar-Ki Naïlo
|
And the backhand...
Two-Handed Scimitar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6+2ER
Damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12+2ER
There you go, I'm being a team player by taking all the bad rolls out of this virtual dice roller for everyone :P
Zohreh of the Bulls
Zohreh growls and charges at the other beetle with a downwards slash of her glaive.
Attack!: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 = 25 (+2 ER)
Damage: 1d10 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10 (+2 ER)
Confirm Critical: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 = 8 (+2 ER)
It's a heavy burden to bear, Jandar, but it's appreciated ;)
Varisia James
Varisia begins swinging his whip as he moves forward, finally seeing an opponent who may be susceptible to it's leathery charms.
Whip It(Whip It Good): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Damage(nonlethal): 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Trip: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
stormcrow27
Zohreh's mighty stroke knocks another beetle unconscious and dying, while Varisia's whip seems to make no purchase
on its hard shell. He seems to remember tales of dwarves raising hardier fire beetles for use in scouring cave systems, called mining beetles. (AKA fire beetles with the advanced template). Nothing shows to be of value in this room.
The group has gained enough XP to advance to 2nd level!
Zohreh of the Bulls
Zohreh stands triumphant over her vanquished beetle. She looks around.
"Not much here.... I think we have made it through all the rooms now. A good day's work!"
Varisia James
'Heres hoping it's just been one day. Its hard to judge time down here. Assuming we still have time, lets get our haul topside and work towards getting it back in to the city!'
Varisia leads the way back to the entry chamber and begins preperations to get everything topside.
Jandar-Ki Naïlo
|
"Well, that was a successful venture! We should go back and celebrate with mead!"
Zariya Ameerah
I assume Varisia defaced the main sarcophagus too? Did we find anything at all in the room with the mining beetles? You didn't list anything.
"I can help with carrying things. As I showed with the door/wheel earlier, I'm fairly strong, so I should be able to carry quite a bit. Are we going to do anything about the chariot? It'll take quite a lot of work to do anything about it at all. I guess we can head topside first with the rest of the stuff and see what time it is before deciding on anything about the chariot. It would be quite time-consuming. I don't think we've been here anywhere near long enough for night to fall, but I could be wrong of course." Zariya says as she proceeds to help carrying things, trying to take the majority of the burden on her own shoulders.
Zohreh of the Bulls
Zohreh hurries over. "Here, let me take some of that. I am not so weak myself."
She gives the party an assessing glance and channels energy again.
Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 2
"Do you think they'd allow us to bring in porters to handle the chariot?"
Varisia James
'I hate to say it but we may have to abandon the chariot unless we've got most of the day left. I don't think they'll let us start a second site until we close this one off. I guess that means we have to make a decision about whether we want to spend more time on this job or move on to the next'
Varisia wipes his brow and looks back into the tomb, worrying about losing such an exquisite piece.
Jandar-Ki Naïlo

Agreed.
