From the door to the north comes to loud thumps and then a cracking noise of wood splintering.

She fires an arrow at the ooze

The arrow passes straight through the ooze as it clings to Bralla's leg.

Then Darri moves back towards the dug out section of the cave.

Rev reaches out to Bralla, reaching out with a gloved hand and resting it on his shoulder and muttering incantations.

Spending Invisibility as a Cure Moderate Wounds on Bralla. 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (1, 6) + 3 = 10

Rev then takes off, moving around to the other side of the ooze to try and draw some of its attention and give Bralla an opening.


The Rev lays a hand on Bralla infusing him with magical energy that heals his wounds.

He then moves around to flank the ooze, a tactic that has worked many a time but the ooze doesn't seem to worry about The Rev. Oozes can't be flanked and don't take sneak attack Dmg. Sorry

The Bruce is up!

Bruce moves over to the other ooze, and slashes at it.

The Bruce swings his sword, bits of grey ooze fly everywhere! Splatting all over the walls and roof!

Aces is up, the Oozes are gone but there was that noise from back the way you came...

Aces Looks to where the noise is comming from Pistol trained on the entrance to the cavern.

Aces raises his hand holding the candle to better illuminate the area.

Aces will move to the entrance to the cave to keep watch and will fire on any hostile creature that comes his way.

Bralla thanks the Rev for his healing. "Mighty generous this god of yours. Thank you."

"Soon? I'll take that bet. I there's anyone here to talk to in five minutes you can have my tools. If not, I get your hat.

Bralla shoves the loot into his pack and moves as far forward as possible, falchion held high over his shoulder like a baseball batter (if that has even been invented yet...?).

He already had hold of the loot, the good shiny, right?


As I recall it was on the end of your sword as the combat started... The sword that you used to thwack the ooze a couple of times?

Aces moves up to the cave entrance to see three Bugbears that have bashed the door down. They must have heard the gun shots...

Feel free to take your standard action to shoot one Aces.

Bralla picks up the pack of gold and shoves it in his pack. It doesn't fit very well and also doesn't add much wait. This worries you, Gold should be heavy.

That's two move actions Bralla. The Bug bears go after Bralla but I'll wait till Aces takes his shot.

The Rev turns on his heel, turning to face the massive creatures as they flood into the room. He stows away his rapier in its sheath, and draws a second revolver as he moves up. He lines up the bug bear beside Darri, firing off a shot as he comes up beside Bruce.

Blam The bullet thunks into the bugbears meaty chest and it roars with pain.

Bruce lets out a bloodcurdling roar and charges the Bugbear that attacked Darri.

The Bruce runs up to the bugbear slashing through the monster from shoulder to hip.

Can I charge to H9? I think it is 60', though the straightest path goes through Rev and Bruce... If not, I'd like to move H13, to Charge next month, I mean round.


Apparently you can't charge through ally's squares. Sorry.

Bralla move around his friends to line up the bugbears, sword in hand.

Ready action: if charged by a bugbear, Bralla will counter-attack.


The remaining Bugbear steps around the corner growling. He swings a morningstar at Aces head.

Rev moves forward, swearing under his breath as he watches the Bugbear thump Aces in the head for what seemed like a meaty blow.

He moved to the side, trying to get as clear a shot as possible, he was in the stream before he felt like he could line the Brute up.

yes you can the bugbear had cover from your Attack... Not that it helped much two nat twenties in a row...

The Rev jumps into the stream with a splash and fires one of his revolvers at the bugbearthe noise echoing through the cave. The bullet rips at the bugbears sleeve barely missing.

Bralla moves up half crouched and leaps the stream swinging his falchion with practiced ease he decapitates the bugbear.

Combat over. Wow three years. That's a long combat...

From his position Bralla can see torch light coming through the now broken down door.

What's on the bugbear's body?


The bugbears lie on the cavern floor covered in blood, morningstars at thier feet. They have light shield strapped to their arms and they're wearing leather armour.

EDIT: the shield straps look like they've been strapped up quite hastily.

Also it seems one bugbear evaporated while everyone was standing still for three years. Whoops

Rev stepped up to the gathered group, standing above the eviscerated bug bear.

He muttered a few words before a wave of light washed over the group, and their injuries slowly started to heal over.

"Troubling, what the hell is going on in this place?"

Aces comes to his senses after the hefty blow from the bear creature.
Holding up his candle and poking one with the barrel of his revolver he exclaims
"Ugly buggers aren't they! looks like I missed the best of it"


Just a reminder of how we came to be in this cave. After you escaped the chain gang you came across Kimba, a native woman who asked for your help. She took you to the native village and the village elder told you what had been happening.

He starts at the beginning saying that over a period of a few weeks 5 or so small children went missing. Warriors were sent out to search for them but they never returned until the horrible nights a few weeks ago when the warriors walked into camp looking like death. They grabbed women and children and killed anyone that tried to stop them. The ancients turned in their graves and clawed their way out of the ground skeletal like, they assisted the dead men in their task. Over the last few weeks the attacks have repeated four times.

That night there was another Attack. You took out many of the "dead men" but many got away with more people. Bralla asked for a tracker to help following the captors the trial led to a tree that had a flame trap and opened into a secret tunnel.

Oh and among the tracks of the dead were also the tracks of a booted person.

Rev pushed fresh rounds into his revolver, a look of great concern on his face as he did.

"This is all proving to be some deep problems we are running across in this hellhole, but I think we have already kicked this angry bear and we should definitely finish off what we started."

With that, he flipped the chamber back inside the gun.

"I think Bralla and I should lead us on, let us try and get an advantage on whatever is around the next corner for once."

Aces looks up from the dead bugbear, putting the candle on a ledge in the cave and checking and reloading his revolver in the dim light.

"Well I agree Rev no point sticking around here for more of these things to come along!"
"I'll hang back a bit and see if I can give you some cover"

Aces un-slings his rifle and checks the action taking up a covered position in the cave

Bruce wipes his greatsword clean on the corpse of a bugbear, then rises and makes ready to continue. He does however eye the puddles and the stream with cynicism, lest they attack again.


Bralla and Roland sneak forward through the broken down door (Bralla can collect his dagger) the walls of this ten foot square room are lined with stone bricks. There's another door in the wall ahead (locked) and to your left is an archway covered with a curtain. There's a table here with a keg, three tankards, a set of dice and four piles of coins and trinkets. The air smells of stale beer and sweat.

Through the curtain :
This area is a sleeping quarters. It's a similar size to the other room, with three beds and three chests. None of the chests are locked and there are clothes and personal effects lying around the room.

Table Loot:
35 GP, 56 sp, and 23 cp. A silver snuff box, a horse statuette carved from wood, and a large talon on a leather necklace.

Quietly as possible, Rev put all the coins with the rest of the coins in his lockbox. He then pocketed the dice.

He then moved quietly through the curtains, pointing his revolver at any place he thought might hide a nasty suprise. His eyes rested on the chests, a smile slowly spreading across his face.

[OOC] If nothing leaps out and morningstars me, I wanna pry open the chests and check if they have anything worthwhile inside.

Aces Slowly moves in to the room trying not to make too much noise, His eyes light up at seeing the keg and makes his way over to the table to investigate what it might hold.
Seeing the snuff box he takes a quick glance inside then pockets it.

The chests are mostly full of more (dirty) cloths (Roll for lice! :D ) but when you rummage through them you find:
A wand
A gold ring
A pearl.

@Aces The keg is about half full and judging what's in the three tankards its ale. There is a little tobacco inside the snuffbox but not much. It smells a little stale.

Aces picks up one of the tankards, tipping it out and refilling it from the keg he mutters quietly
"when in Rome"
After a long swig from the tankard he looks around the room and says quietly to the other party members.
"Ahhhhhh it's been too long between drinks, well, shal we check behind door number 2"
