This will be my 6th or 7th Special depending on whether I also run this at SkalCon... I've lifted the throttle off the number of games that I run since becoming VL, though, so it may be a while before Star Five hits.

Starfinder should also slow me down, since I suspect that I will be one of the first running it in my area. This is okay. I can be patient!

Yes, I am assuming you will have a master signup rather than each running our own, correct?

Meanwhile, should we go ahead and set up campaign threads yet, or do you have a specific process for that?

A master signup sheet is easier for the players and for us. It also tells us if we have a waitlist for which we'll need to activate more tables. We will all eventually need campaign threads to register our tables with PBP Gameday, but I recommend that you start those campaign threads in the Gameplay forum NOT recruitment. Don't confuse players looking for something to play by having a meaningless recruitment thread.

Not on a first offense. Let's start with swabbing the deck, and an extra shift in the crow's nest.

And Lorenzo, deleting is a 2-step process. First, you hit delete in the top-right corner of the post, then you hit delete in the bottom-left corner of the post.

I can't tell you how any times I have hit the top-right delete twice, and that doesn't do anything.

Of course I say this now... next thing I know the tables will be redistributed and I'll be back into the deep end with nobody but myself to blame.

I'm not sure that I want Overseer thread and GM discussion thread together.... But then again only GMs really pay attention to the Overseer thread, don't they?

Question: are we allowed to play at another table if we're on GM duty for these? I know I read the answer to this somewhere, once, during a prior special, but can't recall what that was.

Edit: Oh, read the GM note on the signup sheet and saw that other GM's were signing up for stuff... so I did too! Filling out poor Hillary's table (time to see what all the fuss is about!) =)

I defintely have more then 10 specials. And only a VC can sit in? No wonder it's so hard to get that 5th star!

The sign-up sheet will go public tomorrow. If you want to make sure you play at a particular table or if you reserved a spot for specific players at your game, please sign-up now.

Wow, all the standard tables have already filled up, but the core tables don't look very popular. :P

If a core table remains empty, Granta will likely to do some shifting of core tables to standard.

Don't worry, by the time we are ready to start half of the players will neglect to check in and we'll run around in a mad scramble to review characters on the waitlist.

Lots of ways to get to it.

Usually it branches off of creating a recruitment thread. But we're kind of bypassing that slightly with the special.

You can also skip that step, and just create a discussion thread (in the Discussion forum) and it too will give you a prompt for creating the campaign to attach it to.

There's a GM waitlist too!
