Sharding and Applied Poison

Rules Questions

If one applies poison to a Sharding weapon, which makes a clone of itself to hit the opponent with while keeping the real one in your hand, would it still apply the poison applied to the original weapon? And if so, does it consume the poison on the weapon?

My thought is that Sharding says it makes duplicates of the weapon. It doesn't say that it duplicates things that are stuck to the weapon. So dirt, blood, or poison that are coating the original blade wouldn't be on the duplicates.

I do think that spells that alter the properties of the weapon, like Greater Magic Weapon, would affect the duplicates because they alter the properties of the original weapon.

But these are just my opinions.

Would the same idea apply to weapon blanches?
