GM_of_the_Heads
You're all effectively on the same initiative now for the sake of keeping things going, so Grash and Beachhead can go, too.
Grash "Warhead" Varazson
Grash starts keeping up his raging song with a lengthy tale of battles past. He is also interested in what is going on in the chest area, but wants to take a look first before deciding what to do.
Vote to step back. Tries a knowledge check on whatever is in the door. Will probably cast a spell, but wants targeting info first.
Know. Arcana: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Other Knowledge: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Grash "Warhead" Varazson
Well, nevermind, he totally doesn't know anything about these things beyond maybe their creature type.
Not having much idea about what these things are, Grash simply winds his tale around in twisting, hard-to-follow paths, striving to mislead the minds of these brutish creatures.
Grash casts Confusion on the whole group of enemies in the hall. He tries to miss Tom if he can.
Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Grash takes the full force of the fireball this time, which causes him to edit in a few lines about mauling drakes.
Tomorbataar
Forgot to factor in raging song bonuses on my earlier roles, that'd be +1 to the attack rolls and +2 to the damage one.
Beachhead
Beachhead chomps down on the last remaining drake in melee range...
Attack: 1d2 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 11 + 1 = 14
Does that hit? I bet it doesn't. Assuming it doesn't, I'll spend one of Beachhead's ki points for another attack, but GM please let me know if this wasn't necessary.
Attack: 1d2 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 11 + 1 = 14
Dang it.
GM_of_the_Heads
Two of you voted to step back, and for the sake of keeping things moving I'll assume one of the others was willing
You step back slightly, giving Tomorbataar and Grash space to target the creatures in the grand entrance hall beyond the doors.
Fort: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Tomorbataar bashes the one in the entryway with his head, but it doesn't look stunned, just angry. When Grash finishes his spell, however, three of them look confused.
Beachhead snaps twice at the nearer drake, but it dodges aside both times. Ziphora's water blast strikes the other drake, but its tough scales deflect the jet enough that it remains unharmed. Water blast is a physical blast that targets normal AC, right?
Mo hurls a rock at the further drake.
Rock throw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
But it goes wide.
The two drakes fly back a ways, waiting to catch their breaths out of reach of the horrible teeth and head-bashes. The creature in the doorway, having observed how quickly your body heals, instead targets Tomorbataar
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
Damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (4, 6) + 12 = 22
Tomorbataar dodges its teeth and one claw, but it gouges him badly across the cheek with the other claw.
Two others growl and wave their hands, and suddenly appear outside.
Confusion: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Confusion: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Confusion: 1d4 ⇒ 3
One of the confused ones manages enough clarity to also cast a spell and appear outside. The other one near the door attacks its companion.
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34
Damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (6, 3) + 12 = 21
The first one snaps and growls at his confused comrade, shouting something in a language none of you understand. Unless one of you speaks Goblin?
The last one staggers about drunkenly and smashes its face into the wall.
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Ziphora
Correct, on water blast. I no speak goblin. Could you indicate which are those that aren't confused? I don't want to hit a confused target.
GM_of_the_Heads
The confused enemies are now marked with a 'C', if you can see it.
Beachhead
I was so excited to use Grash's rage power to grapple that remaining drake and drag him down on top of the weird creatures on the ground. Anyway, I'm waiting to see which of them are confused, also.
Tomorbataar
Between Grash's rage inducing song and Ziphora's energizing electricity, Tomorbataar surges with power. Each time he throws a blow he lets out a *GAH* with the effort.
Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34
First Crit of the game!: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Bonus Damage: 1d6 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24
Haste: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19
Iterative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Damage: 1d6 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19
If the one to my right dies I'll target the one to my left even though it's confused.
Grash "Warhead" Varazson
Grash continues his berserker chant, and snaps twice at the eastern creature in between words, in a fashion that blends disturbingly well with his speech. He then pulls back just a bit, so that if the body moves and carries him along the monster won't get a swing at him.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Haste Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Grash votes TRAMPLE!!! He doesn't much care what.
GM_of_the_Heads
It will take all three hits for Tomorbataar to kill that creature, but he *will* kill it
Beachhead
Beachhead also votes for the body to go left to try and trample the creature on that side.
Finally coming down from the top of the wall, Beachhead shakes off the effect of Grash's raging song. He dives toward Tomorbataar's target, but at the last second veers towards Grash's target, instead.
Bluff to feint: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
Spending a ki point for an extra attack.
Hopefully tricking his target, he flanks with Grash and strikes.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 1 + 2 = 20
Assuming that hits...
Damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 5) + 1 = 12
Assuming that hits and the above feint was successful...
Sneak Attack Damage: 4d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 2, 6, 5) + 1 = 19
If that attack doesn't hit, then Beachhead will grant his Assault Leader ninja trick to Grash. GM, please confirm if Beachhead's attack hits, or not. Thanks.
GM_of_the_Heads
Grash, do note that the eastern creature is the one Tomorbataar kills right before your round, if I understand correctly. Beachhead will hit his target with that roll, though he wasn't fooled by the feint.
Grash "Warhead" Varazson
Grash is actually targeting the one to the right of the body, not the one in the door. It was right next to him at the start of the round.
GM_of_the_Heads
I think that's the one Tomorbataar is targeting? Or did I misunderstand you, Tomorbataar?
Tomorbataar
I was targeting the one in the doorway, who I was standing next to. Otherwise I wouldn't've been able to full attack. I marked it on the map.
GM_of_the_Heads
Ah, okay, I understand now.
Tomorbataar bashes the one in the doorway right in the face. Apparently his skull is harder than its skull, because its skull is the one that gets smashed. He spends the rest of his fury on the other creature near the door, battering it badly.
Grash and Beachhead execute a vicious double-headed attack on the creature to your right, injuring but not killing it.
Mo keeps throwing rocks at drakes.
Rock throw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
His rock hits one right in the head, and it tumbles to the roof of the fortress.
Your body lumbers to the left, but... well, it's about as hard to avoid as you might expect. The creature there takes a swipe at your body as it sidesteps you, but that doesn't really bother you appreciably. The one on the right tries to bite Beachhead as he passes.
AoO: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
But the ninja is far to evasive for it.
It follows after him, however, and keeps attacking.
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 12 ⇒ (5) + (6) + 12 = 23
It leaps up and catches his neck with one claw, bites into his flesh, and then falls back to the ground.
The one Tomorbataar struck, enraged, follows after him provoking an attack of opportunity from Beachhead and leaps at him, teeth snapping.
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
But it passes underneath without hitting him.
The remaining not-confused one decides to flank with his confused friend, not realizing that confused creatures don't count for flanking.
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15
Thinking that Tomorbataar will dodge downwards, the creature snaps at empty air when he doesn't move like it anticipated.
Confused: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Confused: 1d4 ⇒ 2
The two other confused ones growl and snap at things only they can see.
The last surviving drake thinks better of hanging around and flies away.
Beachhead
It follows after him, however, and keeps attacking.
It leaps up and catches his neck with one claw, bites into his flesh, and then falls back to the ground.
The creature doesn't let go of Beachhead's neck when it falls, ripping the head clean off of the the body.
Sorry, I forgot to update my hp from the two fireballs, earlier. Even at half damage for both of them, that was enough to drop Beachhead below 0 after that massive attack. This happened before Beachhead's AoO would have occurred. See you in...
1d4 ⇒ 2
...minutes.
Grash "Warhead" Varazson
Don't forget that Raging Song gives temporary hp equal to hit dice if accepted! Though, I'm not sure if you had accepted it this round or not. Depends a bit on if Grash moves before or after you, as that's when the choice is officially made.
Tomorbataar
Beachhead, c'mere flank...oh Tomorbataar begins, before launching another series of attacks at the now cornered troll. As he fights it, he tries to squish himself into the corner so that the confused troll to his right will have a hard time hitting him.
Attack, Stunning Head DC 14: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 20 ⇒ (2) + 20 = 22
Haste: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24

Iterative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 20 ⇒ (6) + 20 = 26
Grash "Warhead" Varazson
Oh, I looked it up and rage song acceptance is at the start of each ally's turn. So, yeah, it doesn't save you. See you in a couple minutes! Make lots of uninformed movement votes!
Ziphora
"Beachhead!!!! NOOOOOOO! " Ziphora screams as she sees Beachhead flop to the ground.
"You're going to pay for that." Ziphora declares, her eyes flashing with rage, and a horn of electrified water growing out of her head, as she stabs mercilessly into the trolls around her.
composite blast-charged blast, kinetic blade - burn the rest of kinetic buffer, 1 point actual burn.
Atk: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

dmg: 8d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 2, 3, 1, 6, 5) + 12 = 40
Try for Tom's troll first then mine.
Grash "Warhead" Varazson
Grash darts back at the one he'd been attacking earlier, and delivers another pair of ferocious bites in between lines of a speech that contains an awful lot of mauling and murdering if anyone bothers to listen.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Haste Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
He also votes for the body to use Haste boosted agility and rage boosted strength to make a running leap and BODY SLAM! the southern creature while it's too confused to dodge.
GM_of_the_Heads
Ziphora annihilates the creature next to her with a thunderous double-lightning-horn strike. Tomorbataar pounds on the one to his left, leaving it badly beaten but not quite dead. Grash likewise wounds but does not kill his target.
Mo debates for a second and then decides that the one Grash bit is the easier target.
Rock throw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
But he fumbles the release and ends up hurling his rock at the mountainside.
Confusion: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Confusion: 1d4 ⇒ 2
The last of the creatures indoors has a brief moment of clarity, and charges out to attack Grash.
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Its companion gets in on the whole attacking thing, too.
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 12 ⇒ (4) + (3) + 12 = 19
The other confused one, meanwhile, continues growling and twitching.
The one Tomorbataar was beating on lashes out at him.
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 12 ⇒ (4) + (5) + 12 = 21
Oooo, I think this will come down to the wire! ...well, except for the fact that you'd all regrow after they left you alone for a little while thinking you were dead.
Tomorbataar
I guess my stunning head attack missed?
I'm still standing, failure. Hah! Tomorbataar shouts at the troll. Wait a second, I'm not standing...I'm stretching. But he doesn't have time to say anything, because he's too busy enacting swift vengeance on the troll.
Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23
Haste: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
Iterative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Damage: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25
Well that doesn't look like it went too well.
GM_of_the_Heads
Fort that I forgot: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 It hit, but didn't work
Tomorbataar
Cool. That bodes much better for me, since it means that the 23 I just rolled will also hit, and hopefully finish off the troll.
Grash "Warhead" Varazson
Grash shifts over slightly before pressing the attack on the one he has been biting, striving to finish it off. His battle tale rises in intensity, nearing its climax.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
He also keeps pushing his rather reckless BODY SLAM! body movement.
Ziphora
Ziphora turns to help Gnash with one of his trolls, but the clearly exhausted kineticist turns weaker lightning horn on the troll.
kinetic blade,lightning blast(touch, empowered: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
Dmg: 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 1, 1, 3) + 2 = 12 *1.5 dmg
This is assumption that Tom kills his troll, or I'd help Tom instead.
GM_of_the_Heads
The beast in front of Tomorbataar dodges his first strike, but his second strikes it on top of its head, and it drops to the ground, unmoving. Ziphora and Grash, between the two of them, finish off the other not-confused one.
Confusion: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Confusion: 1d4 ⇒ 4
The two confused beasts, however, just attack the nearest things to them--Ziphora and Grash.
Bite v. Grash: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
Claw v. Grash: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30

Bite v. Ziphora: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Claw v. Ziphora: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
Claw v. Ziphora: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (6) + (7) + 12 = 25
Bizarrely, they seem to aim better while confused, tearing deeply into both heads.
And then... the body slam.
Body: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Unfortunately, you're not coordinated in the best of times, and you only really end up kicking the creature.
Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (6, 6) + 10 = 22
Mo, meanwhile, throws a rock at the nearer of the two monsters.
Rock: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
But he misses.
Hmmm... are you down to one head after this?
Grash "Warhead" Varazson
With a final GRAAaarrrrgghh.... Grash is severed by the monster's claws, bringing his excessively violent story to an appropriate halt.
Regrowth timer: 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds
Determined to still be doing something, Grash votes to kick the confused monster again. It seemed to work well the last time.
Ziphora
regrowth time: 1d4 ⇒ 2
"uuurrrkk" Ziphora gasps as the claws of the troll find her jugular, then it's cut off by the gurgling off her own blood in her throat.
Her head also is lopped off by those all too sharp claws.
Tomorbataar
Ahah, killed it. Now to help Ziphora and Grash...oh... Guys...? Tomorbataar suddenly feels very alone. Then the rush from the raging song wears off, and his wounds start to hurt.
I've never had my head severed.
Should be just a couple seconds, gotta use evasive tactics to stay alive just long enough...evasive tactics...they can teleport. But they've been beating on this one for the last few seconds, so it should be weak enough that I can kill it. Then I need to trip or trample the other one and avoid it's attacks long enough for someone to come back.
Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 18 ⇒ (5) + 18 = 23
Haste: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20
Iterative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Damage: 1d6 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16
Edit: Tomorbataar votes to trample the southern confused troll.
GM_of_the_Heads
Tomorbataar beats the remaining creature badly, but it still lives and lashes back out at him.
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 12 ⇒ (6) + (4) + 12 = 22
It succeeds in tearing Tomorbataar's head off, and for a few moments you're quite unaware of anything.
???: 1d20 ⇒ 10
???: 1d20 ⇒ 15
???: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Ziphora sprouts back out to find you're laying on your side. One of the beasts, still looking confused, is bashing its head on the ground, while the other seems to have retreated into the building and is calling out in a language you don't understand.
Mo, meanwhile, seems to have run off, probably convinced you just died.
I'd have to count, but this may be the last round of confusion
Ziphora
"Oh dear. I guess we'll need to take care of the last one." She fires a water jet at the last one, RIGHT IN THE FACE!
waterjet: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15
dmg: 4d6 + 10 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 1) + 10 = 21x1.5
Okay, maybe not
Tomorbataar
Tomorbataar votes to do whatever Ziphora thinks is the best idea, since she has this great new thing called eyes
